My thoughts:
Oh my lord Daddy Cosimo… that man has a mouth 🫦 on him. Enza is sweet and innocent, despite being older than Cosimo, due to her childhood and being married so young. I absolutely love how Cosimo gets Enza to open up and be herself and I’m not just talking about in the bedroom. 😏 I don’t think I would consider this a love triangle per se but, it’s kind of a fuck fest even though you know where everyone stands.
This story takes place before, during, and after all the other books in this series. So we get to see and hear a lot from the other couples in this series especially my personal favorite Lucien. I will say I did NOT appreciate seeing Lucien with another women. 😑 even though it was before he met Olivia… I am sensitive.
You don’t need to but I would suggest at least reading Captured Light before this.

Having read this series from the beginning, I’m disappointed in this particular book. I stopped reading it when the female character had oral sex with Lucien. Yeah no thanks.

Raya Morris Edwards is such an amazing writer! Loved Captured Darkness, Light, & Solace! And she did it again with this book.

Cosimo is 23 and grew up his whole life in the mafia. And is ready to take his father’s spot as underboss.

Lorenza is 30, newly widowed and has spent the last 12 years in the mafia married to a way older man.

Cosimo and Lorenza meet at her dead husbands funeral. Cosimo not knowing who she is and thinking she was a maid. He decides she’s just a maid so why not a quickie? Lorenza who had a old sick husband for a couple years gives in to Cosimo. Immediate attraction between both of them. Lorenza finds herself now in the care of another mafia boss Federico. Her wanting her financial freedom decides to use her womanly charms on him. But since Lucien is higher up she uses her charms on him as well. But she still can’t stop thinking about Cosimo. Wrapped up in these men, she loses her self and freedom.

I loved this book! And can I say THE BOOT SCENE?!! Holy hell that was 🔥🔥🔥🥵 Loved that we got to see a whole other side of Lucien that I had no idea he even had!! I thought their relationship was so cute.

Definitely a must read!!

I went into this expecting a good smutty read with not too much plot or character development and it surprised the crap out of me. The smut was very good but I also enjoyed the plot and I enjoyed both of the main characters as well as their personal development and the development of their relationship. I was so pleasantly surprised that I think I'm going to read the other books in the series as you do see a lot of the characters in this book and I am intrigued about their story.

The smut was good and I liked hearing more about the background stuff that was happening in Lucien and Olivia’s book.

I love Cosimo and Enza, they are perfect for each other but I felt that the story dragged on for way too long. I’m also annoyed with how little we got to hear from Amadeo when he came back.
