Healing Hearts is book 2 in the new Oak harbor Series. The series is about three sisters who left home as soon as they could and have remained estranged from their parents and from each other for years. They all return home for their father's funeral. In his will, he promised The Willberry Inn to his daughters but first they had to live there and take care of their mother who had a serious illness that she'd never told them about. Book 1 was Cora's Story and book 2 belongs to Andrea.
Andrea was reluctant to return to Oak Harbor. Her life as a media influencer was very successful and her beloved daughter was planning to get married to someone that she knew would be a fantastic husband. But Cora had been taking care of her mom by herself and Andrea knew that she could run her business from anywhere, she packed up to go home for the summer. She bumps into Donnie - well actually he bumped into her car at an intersection and they immediately began to argue over who was at fault. She met him later while she was out running. The more she sees him, the more interested she is in him. Can she let down her walls that keep men out of her life and find a relationship with him? Will they have their happily ever after? I can't wait to read book 3 and find out the other sister's story along with what happens to Cora and Andrea.
This is a fantastic book series about love and loss, acceptance and trust within a family. I am really looking forward to the future books in this series and hoping that all three sister reconcile and find their happily ever afters.
I never read back covers as I do not want the story to be ruined for me. I did not get that Book 1 was Cora's story. Book 2 is Andrea's story.
Andrea is a successful social media specialist. She does not return to Oak Harbor right away as she has an event for her job. She realizes she can do her job from anywhere and returns home to help care for her mother.
All sisters have tragedies in their own lives. Cora has a divorce brought about by a cheating husband. Andrea has a secret from her daughter and a bad past relationship. While each sister is grieving the loss of their father, they are also coming to terms to why they escaped at early ages to pursue their dreams. There is a lot of dysfunction to work through. Anger with their father and mother while dealing with feelings of being left behind by the other sisters.
So far, I love how each sister is revamping the Inn, dock and restaurant left to them. The sceneries described are both amazing and beautiful. They are learning that leaving does not necessarily kill the love that had for each other.
4⭐️{Kindle} BK2 in a 10 book series. Free with KU. These are shorter books in a story continuation {180-200pgs each} based on a coastal scene of Oak Harbor. The series is hallmark like with heartwarming cast of characters. Loss, love, friendship and family. Quaint, sweet and quick reads. You’ll be vested in the Hamilton family.
I love that Kimberly Thomas takes a family and writes a series revolving around each character.
This is Book #2 of the Oak Harbor series. Andrea is a single mom to her daughter Rory. She also has a secret that she has wondered about telling Rory for years. Andrea owns a very successful social media business that allows her to go back home to help her sister with the Inn and their mom.
Once settled, a mysterious phone call threatens the secret Andrea has held on to for years. She also gets asked to work on the local fire departments website. While tagging along, taking pictures and learning more about firefighters, she starts to get close to Donny. Will she let him in? Will her secret ruin her relationship with Rory?
Another amazing heartfelt read by Kimberly ❤️
I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Three sisters come back home after years away. There was an incident with the father and all the girls chose to leave..
Cora stayed at home mostly especially after her father dies. She is responsible for taking care of her mother who has ALS.
Andrea is the next to come home with all her secrets and troubles and begins to fix the problems and mistakes she has made in her life. While taking on an assignment she meets Donny who has had his own share of problems with life, his sons and loosing his wife. Andrea has to come to terms with a lie she has told her daughter and is worried that she might loose her.
Jo is the last to return home and once again the sisters realize that they should never have stayed away as long as they did and being home is what helps to solve all the problems and worries of life.
I found that it was hard to stay focused on this book as the author jumped around a lot from scene to scene but the overall story was to good to not finish the book.

This is book two in An Oak Harbor Series and it is Andrea's story and definitely a must read. She built a successful business with social media marketing and doesn’t need a man. When she returns to Oak Harbor, a secret she’s kept for years is going to be revealed. Will it cause problems for her or will things work out? We also get to catch up with Cora and see if her relationship with Jamie is progressing or if she still just considers them friends. When finds a man interested in her, can she let down her walls or is Donny wasting his time? I can’t wait to read the next story to learn what Jo’s story is.

The sisters are together again in this 2nd book from the Harbor Inn series. Drea travels home to help Cora with her mother and the Inn. Since she works remote it's time to help out.
She gets a distressing call from a lawyer regarding her daughter's father. Since she told her daughter her father died this news throws a monkey wrench in their relationship.
Drea meets an interesting fireman and they end up working together on a web redesign project. The sisters continue to rebuild the relationship with their mother and work together to bring the Inn into the 21st century.
I loved this book. Andrea at first is stand-off ish and not as connected to the family. When she comes home she is on top of her game professionally but very reserved and not interested in dating or anything. I really liked learning her back story, seeing her relationship with her sister and mom and daughter flourish, and see if she starts to get ready to date. Over all great story and now really can’t wait for Jos story.
A*R*C for honest review with no compensation 4.5 stars

Enjoyed this novel and the interaction of the sisters, mother and father.Highlights what many issues a family endures during a lifetime both goid and bad.Shows how small hurts become big divides in a family. But also reveals with time and love they cane be overcome.
The sister's experiences from childhood to adulthood and especially coping up and facing the fear in their hearts with one's support makes me cry and at the same time hopeful. The love they have for each other is strong and the second chances for romantic love is special. It's a good read.
I liked this read. I loved how the sisters once again were able to heal and forgive one a other. I liked the way they put e dry thing on hold to take care of their mother. I would recommend this read to every sister out there who needs healing from past hurts and pain. My sister is gone and has been since 2005. I miss what we could have had together.
As Andrea struggles with her new family situation she struggles to hold things together. How will she tell her daughter Rory, the truth about her father? What does the future hold with the widowed firefighter Donny? Is there a future in store?
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This voluntary review is my honest opinion

This is the same first book by Kimberly I have read and I really enjoyed it. All of the sisters coming home to be with their mother was great and Andrea finding someone special really completed the story. Look forward to the next story.
So happy the sisters were able to reunite and find happiness. So sorry their mom has ALS. That is a horrible disease. Happy that Cora has found a new love and one of her sisters is on the way. Happy that Rory's dad came through for her.
Fantastic story! Andrea had to return to her home town after 20 years of being away. She is faced with so many memories and regrets. It was exciting and refreshing to see how this story unfolds. Looking forward to the next book in this series. Great job!
The story was wonderful. Had a real feeling of real life with love, pain, family struggle s and healing. It was like real lives with ups and downs. Painful emotions and ecstatic emotions.
I enjoyed this book better than the first. The family is supporting each other through each sister's drama plus their mother having ALS. There are some editing errors throughout the book.
