It was interesting to read about how Sôseki felt during his illness, but only from a biographic point of view. If you do not care for Soseki as a person, this book wasn't sufficient to itself, and it's quite boring. I still enjoyed it though, but it was nothing special, just more like a Diary, and even though it was very poetic as always, it lacked the style that I usually enjoy in Sôseki's novels.
