Welcome to Pieces! Where everybody’s fkn everybody and the messiness is in full bloom!! If y’all are looking for some toxic áss, messy àss drama with the laughs to match you will not be disappointed with this one! This was one of Ladii Nesha’s first books and after reading this, it’s no wonder why she’s one of the G.O.A.T’s in my literary world! Everyone was trash in this book except Norr, Zoey and sometimes Kia 🤣😩 whew THE GHETTOOOO *in my NeNe Leakes voice*
Wow, just wow! This was a NTMA and I was not disappointed. The author had my attention the very first page! Whenever I’m highlighting a passage on page one then you know the book is about to be like that!!! That was definitely my first time doing that. 🤣 But this is definitely the story that all the “work wives and work husbands” don’t want to come true.
Now let’s talk about some of these messy characters…..I was not surprised about Davey’s outcome. He didn’t deserve Zoey at all. I’m glad she knew her self-worth and didn’t let Davey manipulate her into staying with him. I liked Norr for her anyway! He was definitely BDE! -Aziel was by far my favorite character. He was so funny, especially when he re-enacted the scene from Baby boy. When I say I screamed I legit screamed! 🤣 And the fact that he nicknamed Norr Dark Knight and refused to him by his name even though Norr hated it made me love him more. I wish he was my best friend in real life! 🤣 -Alexis 🤢 well all the females in this book except Zoey was trash. I guess that’s why they all worked at Pieces 🤣🤣 But Alexis was on a different level from the rest. I knew she was going to be trash from the beginning when she was in the closet at work. 🤐
Now y’all go read this book before I tell the whole story! 🤣🤣

This is not my usual type of story….there was soooooo much drama in this story…the author did a nice job telling the story….the only thing I didn’t connect with was how Baby Zola dissed her father, when she was madly in love with her father…I really did not understand that turn around so fast..especially, because they had a wonderful relationship from the very beginning. But, as far as the adult relationship, Davey had to learn and lost Zoey for a relationship with a bird that was sexing other dudes that worked with him….this truly was a messy ass story.
Everyone got what they deserved in this book 😭. I love Ladii Nesha. Shes always gonna give you a good story line with a good laugh even when the plot isn’t funny at all.
This was the most entertaining book I've read in a long time!
Where do I begin?!?! This book was DRAMA! NONSTOP! And I loved every minute of it. I knew less than halfway through the book it was a 5 star read. This is my first read from this new to me author and I am thoroughly impressed. I laughed out loud more than a few times and the instant karma that was served...#chefskiss I loved it!
I'm glad that everyone's bs was pulled out and into the light! I can't understand how people enjoy their little "games" at work having an entire family at home! Good read! I recommend! At first its a little hard to keep up with all the characters but the drama start instantly! Once it starts there is no end to the lies and drama until the end of the book! Enjoy!
chile.. pieces is a place where everybody is getting a piece of everybody! this book was FULL of drama and people fckn everybody! even cousins possibly having the same baby daddy!
as always, i love how ladii nesha adds her spark of comedy and makes the characters full of love or full of trifling ass characteristics lmao.
i truly enjoyed this read. davey deserves everything he got in the end.. which was shit. while zoey got everything.💕

Finished in one day. The cheating. The angst. The drama. At first I was like what in the Tubi but I was hooked. I couldn't put the book down. The twists and turns. The karma being served. I'm actually curious to know what will happen with this crew 2 years from now. Great job Ms Author Ladii
This book could be a soap opera. Filled with audacity and laughter. The characters all played their part with a lot of pizzazz! This was indeed a NTMA and I truly enjoyed it. Great job! 🎊🎉💯
How can a book have this much drama?!? Lawwwwd I got sucked in and couldn’t breathe until the end! Karma was definitely showing her behind in this book because baby everybody that tested her got some get back! I’m still new to this author but I’m now devoted to her entire catalogue!
Pure Comedy! This is the second book I read by this author and I just love her writing style. This book was hilarious and these characters were so authentic. I felt like I knew an Alexis, Davey, Josh, Norr and Zoey in real life. It was an extremely entertaining read. Loved it.
This book was well written and full of Drama. The author did a great job telling a detailed story full of sex, scandal, cheating and plant life. The job was called Pieces but all I kept picturing was Chrysler. It sounded much like the reality that I’ve heard so much about over the years. I was happy to see a couple of love stories sprinkled in with the drama which created a good balance. If only Davey had listened to his dad, his life could have turned out much different. A hard head I tell you! I truly enjoyed this read and look forward to reading more from this author.
The characters in this story had too much going on in their lives which made for an entertaining story. I spent most of my time shaking my head as the drama unfolded nonstop.Although the last few chapters dragged for me, this was still a five star read.
Nesha is just that author. Period. End of discussion. This book had me so weak 😂 the story was so real it was like watching a TV show. Zoey was really that girl who deserved her peace. She was not the 1 or the 2 as those who crossed her found out. The secrets and foolery were all out in plain view, and somebody please put Chaz in tv. That boy was a fool! This story was 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
That was soooooo good!! It was so much going on. The drama was limitless!! I read it in one sitting. I needed sleep but kept saying jist one more chapter. The chapters were fun and messy. I had too much fun reading this!! Norr will forever be a character I can appreciate and Zoey will always be a character I respect!! Amazing characters!! Chaz and Zel had me in stiches. It was so much to love. Incredible read!!
When I tell you it was nothing but drama and shenanigans happening at Pieces, I mean just that. Some of err’body was sleeping with somebody on the line and unknowingly sharing bodily fluids with one another. 🤦🏽♀️ Pure dramedy!
Let’s get into the cast of characters, shall we.
Davey and Josh were the epitome of fu€% boys. Davey was the leader of the F boy club and deserved everything that came to him. He 1000% reaped what he sowed.
Josh was out there finessing females and spreading 🍤 sized peen 🍆 with any and everybody. It’s a wonder he hadn’t caught any diseases, but he got his karma in the form of his baby mama 😂
Alexis and Nina deserved to catch hands. Every. 👏🏽 Time. 👏🏽These cousins clearly knew nothing about self-love and were out there giving females a bad name. You know how it is said that women shouldn’t get mad at the other woman? Yea, this wasn’t that where Alexis was concerned. Alexis and Nina played themselves and had no one to blame but themselves.
Chaz was comedy; nothing more, nothing less.
Kia was cool, but she was clearly the type to get her get back if a person did her dirty. Ask Davey ‘bout her 😏.
I loved Zoey and her no-nonsense attitude. She knew her worth and she stood on business. And she had hands. Yea, she was my favorite, lol. She loved and respected herself and did not settle and she was rewarded for that.
Zoey’s mother, Lady, was disappointing. The relationship advice she called herself giving Zoey was trash, to say the least. Her viewpoints on men were very much misguided and I am happy that Zoey knew better than to listen to her mother’s relationship “advice”.
Then there was Norr aka book bae. I respected the way he handled Nina. Some might say he was disrespectful, but she was a bug-a-boo and he handled her accordingly. He was the perfect person for Zoey and I loved him for her.
And last, but certainly not least, there was Aziel, Zoey’s best friend. He was so extra, but he always had his girl’s back, front, sides, top, and bottom. He was a good good girlfriend and Zoey was blessed to have his comedic self in her life.
This group of characters made for an entertaining bunch.
I knew when this story began; it had the potential to be a hot mess. A job where the employees all sleep around, yes, a hot mess. And Davey was a fraud and a fool. I'm glad Zoey found a better place to land. Alexis was a free-spirited one with her behavior; she was a nasty woman. I hated how the cousins were always scheming. I'm so happy they got what they deserved.
I didn’t really understand the blurb, which after completing the story I understand why. It’s seem the author left it somewhat vague, so the reader could go in not knowing what is about to happen.
Because whoa… this was a lot of drama. And I enjoyed each second of it- I was waiting with baited breath for things to start to fall apart for Davey. But heck once it, that poor idiot couldn’t catch a break.
Although I’m glad it worked out how it did, I was really hoping for a different outcome of paternity between Nina and Norr. Yet, the outcome the author choose was more realistic and added additional spice to the already messy plot.
This was great! I love a story when the cheater gets a dose of his or her own medicine. In the case of Nina and Alexis… it was served almost perfectly.
This was the messiest book ever... and I loved every bit of it. Everybody sleeping around and everybody keeping secrets! Looking forward to more from Ladii Nesha!
Chile! These folks were a MESS and it was a sight to behold. Everybody had something and some of these fools had double helpings of foolery! This tale was so juicy that I could not put it down waiting for the inevitable to happen and then it got even better! GREAT read!
This book is the embodiment of messy. When the book 1st started, I was rooting for Davey. I really was because once they started talking about how he was loyal to his girlfriend and been together since high school. And in the years that he’s been working there, he hasn’t missed with anybody, but everybody else is messing with each other basically. And then only for the book to actually start, he been messing with Alexis for like the year she’s been there.
It’s crazy how Zoey didn’t know he was cheating until basically the last minute. Like if you ask me, he was not that clever or sneaky and then at one place she called herself going through his phone, but didn’t really go through it. She just basically checked to see if he added a new number or something.
And Alexis she knew what it was. He had a family, and that he was never gonna leave his family, but she wanted more. I’m surprised she didn’t tell Zoey that he was cheating with her.
But everything came to ahead at the end. I’m glad that she met Norr and found out how she was supposed to be treated. At the end, I did not feel sorry for Davey at all because he knew what he was doing, and he admitted that he wasn’t gonna stop messing with Alexis until he got married. Like I still couldn’t believe he proposed and was still going to cheat, and then he only missed what he had until Zoey left him like that honestly made me so mad. Also, let’s not forget how her own mother wanted her to go back to him and settle because in her words, ‘men will cheat’, or ‘there will always be competition’. Like she just want her daughter to be in a loveless marriage for the rest of her life. I don’t believe the stuff she was saying, and I wish she wouldn’t have forgave her at the end. Like that woman would have not gone to my graduation. She wouldn’t even be in my life, or my daughters life for that matter.
But anyway, this book was highly entertaining and let me not forget Chaz was hilarious. I loved him. I hope gets a book but I doubt it anyway, like I said, I loved it.

This book was meeeeeessssyyyyyyyyy!!!! Davey got what he deserved. Josh was spreading that thang like mayo. Alexis was filthy, trifling, nasty, and I could go on and on. Kia was a mess. Get that money girl. Chaz was funny as hell!! It's always them young ones man!! Lady needed to be high-fived a few times to the face. Aziel is my spirit animal. He was funny as hell. I'm happy that Fye finally understood and that should be how parents handle those type of situations. Norr/Dark Night stood on business and I loved that about him. And lastly, my girl Zoey, that's right!! You don't get but 1 time to play in my face. If I beg you to please tell me the truth and you STILL lie to me, it will hell to pay. Then to see my guy Henny from the Bambi series made a guest appearance. Never put two & two together that his daddy got him that job at Pieces.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. This was a new to me author. The setting was in my home town so it was cool to see the references to local establishments and streets. There are many jokes about plant life since we are The Motor City. This book showed one of the things that is rumored to happen at many automotive plants. Do you have a work spouse? The characters and scenarios although fictional were not far fetched. This book made me laugh and yell at the characters. Some of the There were some characters that I loved and some that I wanted to punch in the throat. Some of the imagery will stay with me forever. EyeCU Reading Approved
