After years of hell and abuse, my kids and I are finally safe. We moved back home with my grandmother and things seem to be looking up.
New Job. New home. Freedom. And a few men who’ve caught my eye.
All five of the men are sexy as hell and seem to want me and my kids despite all of our broken pieces.
And even after all of my trauma I’m ready to finally live and give these men a real chance.
Just as things seem to be perfect, reality slaps me in the face… hard. We aren’t as safe as we thought. Now there’s a stalker wanting our attention and I’m terrified.
Will we ever truly be safe?
If you love snarky and strong main characters who have a past they’d rather forget and steamy men that leave you begging for more? Then check out the New Beginnings series. This is a reverse harem contemporary series with some content such as violence and abuse that some readers might find triggering. This is a rh romance and is intended for readers 18 and up. This book includes M/F M/M and MFM
I’m an avid reader and book lover, I grew up keeping my nose in books. I have a huge love for Harry Potter, and Star Wars, and all things witchy. I’m a mom to three beautiful kids. I’ve been married to my best friend since I was 19. I found reverse harem books in 2019, but never made a huge effort to read. Until i had my daughter in 2020 during the start of the pandemic. I suffered from terrible ppd and found books helped get lost in head. I have always wanted to write so i decided to put my first book out there.
I have to first congratulate Allie Noel on her debut book. This story pulled me in from the very beginning and held me until the very last sentence.
It has: Instalove Sexy as hell but very Protective men MM (experimenting to see if there is more there) Very Spicy Super protective mama
Isla and her 3 littles have been through so much because of her abusive ex-husband and now she is back home with her grandmother ready to begin over. She meets 5 amazing men who are all instantly taken with both her and her kids. Throughout the book, each of the men begin to open up to her about their own troubled pasts and show her that there truly are good men in the world who want to love and protect her and her babies.
To keep things interesting, there is a good amount of very spicy scenes between Isla and the guys and between the guys without Isla. Some strange incidents happen that brings out the mama bear in Isla. We also get to see just how protective the men can get when it comes to Isla and her kids. I can't wait to see where Allie is going to take this family in the second book!!
This is my first time reading anything by this author. It can be hit or miss trying someone new but this was a thoroughly enjoyable read. The characters were pretty well developed and there was dramatic and somewhat emotional plot that kept my attention. The one thing I will call out a bit is this story is an "Insta love" read. The guys and the fmc are in love by day two pretty much, which is usually not my jam, but the characters are just so darn sweet that I mostly looked past all that and just enjoyed watching the drama unfold. Note, there is also some pretty rapid onset of mm action on the guys start exploring group time with the fmc. That cliffhanger though...I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for book two!
I started this book late into the night and ended up reading until the sun rose. I was enthralled by the words of Allie Noel and the story she created. I could not put this book down and when I finally did put it down to go to sleep, I ended up dreaming of Isla and her men, plus her adorable children that just melted my heart. When I woke up the first thing I did was dive back into this book because I needed to get back to the characters.
Isla is starting her life over when she moves her and her children in with her grandmother. She never expects to fall in love, but 5 men comes crashing into her life and refuse to live it. Not going to lie, everything happens fast in the relationship and the men take over a father role to the kids’ life which is not realistic in the slightest, but boy did I love it. I loved how they claimed Isla and her kids as their own. It was hot. The relationship Isla and her men have is beautiful and steamy, I’m talking butterflies took over my whole body. I could not get enough of them.
Also, I must talk about Isla’s grandmother, just putting it out there, she was my favourite character. I loved her so much and I’m just wondering if she could adopt me because I think we all need a grandma like her. One that will literally build a whole library full of rh books and self-publishing romance book.
The whole aspect of the stalker was intriguing, and I could not stop trying to figure out who was stalking Isla and her men. Due to this, the book was glued to my hands, and nothing could remove the grip I had on my kindle until I got to the last page.
The cliff hanger on this book I think stopped my heart, when I hit the last page, I screamed because I needed to find out what was going to happen. Allie Noel wrote one heck of a cliff hanger, and it immediately made me want to devour the next book.
This was my first book by Allie Noel and the first book she publishes and let me say, she has a new fan. I will be reading everything she publishes. I can’t recommend this single mom rh romance, please check out this amazing book.
It's a great story of staring over after abuse. I'm just going to say that there was minor mistakes. Nicknames were mixed up a few grammar mistakes but nothing series. Also I don't think the author soead time evenly between the men either. Because we mostly only say it was Cullan and Bodie. We still haven't really got with Odin and Orin together or separate. Ik it basically states they do have sex but like in a blackout kinda way. We want to read that too not just 2 guys. I hope the next book focuses on all of them and the kinks that keep getting mentioned. And now we are going to have a baby on top of that. That was some cliffhanger and I hope the n2xt comes out soon. I did give it 4 stars cause the story is actually not bad even tho it's going to fast the relationships with the women and kids. Idk but what they went through or atleast how it started out was good with the PTSD but changed for fast making her look thirsty and even tho said being scared of men none of the kids were ever scared hmm also as I'm reading I would of thought it were teenagers not grown adults which I mean she may have spit fire but the way the characters are writing they sound clueless as hell. Also im curious on how book 2 will be since basically the stalker is stopped and caught since Brodie tackled her. So im wondering what other stuff could happen to Isla. Hasnt she been through enough lol. But don't fret. It didn't sway me away because like I said the story is a good one. It was what I was looking for when I was searching so I'm glad that I got to read this and I do recommend this book and hope book 2 isn't far behind.
OK, so a couple of things I didn't like about this book I did a lot of eye rolling throughout the book.
Isla (h) has just got out of a DV relationship and has has triggers from the trauma that she suffered but within a couple of weeks of moving back to her hometown she ends up in a relationship with 5 guys. I personally feel like that was just far too quick and unbelievable.
The children suffer with PTSD and hate been around other men but as soon as they meet the Hs it doesn't seem to be an issue and they want the guys to be their new dads (eye roll)
Everyone starts living together after only a few weeks. And sleeping with each other. Isla wants to be submissive with one guy, Dominate another, sharing guys, etc.. but she mentions a few times how abusive her ex was, and he repeatedly ra-ped her for me. I feel like she kind of just got over when she met the guys like it wasn't an issue. But she is still suffering from it.
I really understand that the author was trying to for most of the book, but some just seemed so rushed and not believable at all. I understand it is also fiction, and it would be different in real life, but if you write about DV and abuse, then I think you need to take into account how to tastefully write about it. The storyline was good, and I think if everything wasn't rushed, it would have made a better read.
This was my first book by this author, and I will be reading the 2nd book when it comes out to find out what happens next (hopefully less eye rolling)

I feel like we get a lot of fierce protective awesomeness in the guys that surround the FMC and her kids. I know that there have been people seeking recommendations of books that have a single mom with her kids that end up with their HEA with her harem. Even though the meeting of the guys and their meeting and attachment to the kids was pretty quick, I think it was pretty well explained and incorporated. And instead of it being that the guys are billionaires etc, these guys are blue collar- police, firemen, mechanic, chef. Isla was spunky, resilient- a take no crap type of gal- despite the crap she went through. This is definitely a type of "found family" style book. I like their connections, and how all the guys bonded with the kids. I like their communication as a group. Many books have their peak conflict around miscommunication, and I find myself yelling- JUST TELL THEM, or TALK IT OUT. It was a relief not to have to do that here. The mystery and intrigue of the stalker was enough to add some thrills into the story, but the main line was really how this group came together. We were left on a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to see how that's handled...... The guys are total cinnamon rolls to her, while fierce protectors of her and her kids. They also explore some group dynamics in the bedroom that they hadn't before Isla came along. All in all, I give this story a solid 4.5. Its a nice mid- way story between total rom com, and a dark romance.
What I loved about this book was that Isla was over 20, had 3 children and had a realistic figure with stretch marks. Too often a lot of reverse harem novels feature 18 year old women with flawless figures, which is fine but I enjoyed reading about a character I could relate to figure wise. Oh my goodness this book was really good. Isla and her kids have been through the ringer and have endured a lot of abuse, they finally get their fresh start and for once in their lives have a chance to be really happy. All of the guys that Isla meet are gorgeous and super caring and protective. Lucky girl has 2 firefighters and a police officer in her harem! Of course their journey together isn't plain sailing, as they now have a stalker threatening to derail them and I can't wait to see what happens after that cliffhanger.
This is a lovely little debut. A mix of single mom, small town, overcoming trauma and insta love. You can't help but fall in love with Isla and the guys. They're all so blinking cute together. I really enjoyed seeing her and the kids come out of their shells and blossom with the guys love and affection. It also contains more than a dash of hella hot steam including the guys exploring their sexuality together.
That's not to say all is well in paradise though, someone isn't happy with their relationship and starts causing trouble. The ending had me desperate for book 2. Will they get their happy ever after or will it be snatched away?!
This is one of the best stories I have read so far this year. Allie Noel has truly out done herself with this one. I completely connected with the main female character Isla. The emotional stress and mental health that she went through really touch my heart. I was so proud of her for getting her life back together. The five men that come into her and the kids lives was amazing. I love each of them. Those kids stole my heart. Her Maw-Maw is one h**l of a lady. Now that cliffhanger was awesome. I can't wait for the second book to come. If you love RH with a strong minded female with emotional damage and Alpha Males who complete her in every way possible then this is the book for you. Believe me, you won't be disappointed.
This book had everything you would want and more. It was written beautifully and it had me crying in so many parts some from happiness and some from sadness. The love you see with these men and the multiple point of views just are amazing. And to see this women who has gone through hell but come back and conquer so much while protecting those she loves is just priceless. I can’t wait for book 2 the cliffhanger had me speechless and finished this book in less then a few hours. Worth the read x100! 🔥💚
This was not it. Again. The cringe and again with the one day and we’re already kissing and falling in love after an abusive relationship!? I mean sure some cope better than others but that is insanity. And bringing your kids through a new relationship that fast. No thank you. Also skimmed through everything. This was boring and the characters were oof. Except maw-maw, the rest were just copy pasted. The books was long for no reason and should be posted on watt pad and not published as a novel. A complete waste of my time. Truly bad writing.
Fantastic read, well written and unputdownable! I love this story so much! Allie Noel's debut book is a homerun in my books. Isla is a sassy FMC and her harem of 5 is to die for! Silas is mine I licked him....sorry. All the guys are awesome and so loving and caring with Isla and her 3 kids which are adorable. I need the next book ASAP! Ends on a cliffhanger but eagerly awaiting getting my hands on it.....Hurry go read this awesome book!
Hope Found, New Beginnings Book one, by Allie Noel is such a great first book. We meet Isla and her three adorable little kids. She is one tough, single mom. Smart, fierce and fights for her family. She meets Odin, Orin, Callum, Silas, and Brodie. You'll cry, laugh, and your heart will melt. There is a cliffhanger at the end. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Oh this was just lovely. Traumatized fmc and her three children, add in five cinnamon rolls of mmc's and a Maw-Maw who will fight for them and you have this book. If you've read Broke Down and enjoyed it, then you'll love this book.
I loved the storyline. Isla really came out of her shell and the growth in the kids was wonderful. That cliffy though.....man. it's gonna be a tough wait till the next one is out.
The FMC is so amazing in this and is so strong for her 3 kids. And the 5 MMCs in this are SO dang sweet, it made my heart melt. The cliffhanger really got me good. Can’t wait for the next book to come out.
This story had some fun twists and turns! I enjoyed Isla and her kids, and her relationship with her grandmother was amazing. I liked each of the guys, although I would have loved to see their time with Isla and their POVs balanced a bit more evenly; it felt as though a couple of the guys got more attention than the others. The ending was something of a shock, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
I laughed, I cried, I cheered, I swooned! There is some steam going on up in here but some amazing story line and characters too! Can’t wait for book 2!
This was the first book I’ve read by Allie Noel and I’m a forever fan. The characters were well thought out, honest, believable, and the story had a lot of heart. I love how they didn’t beat around the bush or lead each other on. They were adults from the first moment they met. They all managed to find something positive in the negative situations they have been through. Now I’m impatiently waiting for the second book. Haha
I love love loved reading this book. Some parts were a bit too much for me when they were acting extremely cute but I loved the relationships built between the fc and her kids with the 5 guys.
I loved this book and I felt every emotion while I was reading it. This book had the perfect amount of spice, drama, sexy times and plenty of steam. Take a chance on this book and you won't be disappointed.
This is a heartwarming RH book about a single mom that has had a rough past. She finally finds the men that are going to treat her and her kids the way they deserve to be treated. This is a tear jerker for sure. Also, there's a cliffhanger so I'm ready for book 2.
SPOILERS. So I did not finish this book. I think if written as slow burn it could have been really good. but the FMC who is abused and raped by her husband repeatedly (this all happened before the story begins), finally gets away because her husband is killed. Foes back ro live with her grandmother who is a loving parental figure and a millionaire. So this just makes me think the FMC is weak. I like reading about women who go through survival experiences and triumph, but she only survived because someone stepped in. She had a way out in a rich relative who would have done anything ro help her. Some women have no options. The FMC did. Then she moves in with her grandmother and the next day is blatantly ogling 5 guys and start kissing one in front of her kids on the second day she meets him. Like you just went through trauma and your kids have ptsd but you can kiss a guy straight away. And the guys start talking about her love she's wife material with barely any contact. Like insta lust / love. And the name dropping of her rich grandmother to anyone who disrespects her in town just seems crass. So I didn't enjoy this. If it was slow burn and lead up to a friendship and then relationship I may have viewed it better.
I absolutely adored this! I think this is the first RH that I haven't picked any favorites between the men, I love them all equally. I also loooove that the guys are now able to explore their wants between each other and that Isla was the one to get things started for them. Also, fuck that bitch Heather. Here I thought Victoria was going to be an issue, but nope. Heather deserves a punch to the cooter. I'm curious to see how Saige coming into the picture is going to go. Definitely looking forward to the second book!

Unrealistic and inconsistent. Isla was abused for several years by her husband, whom she married immediately after school. He had religious texts on the wall, but she's covered in tattoos and piercings. The insta love and direct calling the five men ‘daddy’ by the kids was irritating. Also, if you know you’re being stalked and photographed - you are really dumb to have sex in public places right after finding out about the stalking. Embarrassing. Script a lot.
I love this storyline. There is so much going on throughout the story. All the feels are there, even had to shed a tear or two. Even though some of the writing could be better or some details to straighten, I still would love to know what's going to happen in the future books.
