reread: july 2023
FINALLY. maybe it’s ‘cause of nostalgia or maybe because this reread finally brought me out of my slump (a lil), but i ain’t complaining. finally i was able to get into a book and not drop it lol. but i knew becca & cal would do that to me 😌 they didn’t fail to get me the first time either. “but i’ll never adapt to the way becca glows. the way she is a beam of sunlight in a dark room” kill me now. the way both of them thought of each other as sunshine 😩💘
no matter how many times cal was shattered, his heart broken by that one girl he could never get over, he never gave up. he always had hope for them ‘cause he knew they were meant to be and he was the only one for her & vice versa. no matter how much becca pushed him away bc she thought he deserved better, he never strayed anywhere & stayed by her side through everything. the way becca’s scent was the one thing that calmed his soul 🥺 he was always gonna be there for her and that’s everything to me. i love him <3

BUT BECCA. MY GIRL. MY PRECIOUS GIRL. THE LOML. 💓💗💖💘💝 the way she felt like she’d shatter and break if she just let herself feel, so she adopted these layers of defensiveness and the icy persona to scare everyone away. she’s just the sweetest kindest most selfless precious person in the world, & she didn’t deserve what happened to her. the scene when becca broke down and let it all out? it hurt and it hit right there ‘cause her thoughts were so valid and it was so... sad. ☹️ i could relate to so many of becca’s thoughts and that’s the thing that just worked for me somehow. how she dealt with the assault was so heartbreaking, pushing everyone away, even her bf who loved her so much. but he never gave up on her, bc he knew she only needed little pushes in just the right ways and he was the only one who could give that to her.

I loved Becca + Cal. The way that Austin showed up in this second book , I literally SCREAMED!!! At some parts I found it hard to enjoy Becca’s character because she was an actual bitch but I also love her if that makes sense LOL. I need the last book in the trilogy NOW!!! What in the ever living FUCK happened to Stella?!! I’m at the edge of my seat

I am so in love with this book
Wow. Wow. What can I say about this absolutely incredible book! I went into it expecting greatness but it absolutely blew me away. I loved the journeys all the characters went through, but I especially loved seeing Becca grow and change! I was intrigued by (and a little mad at) Becca in The Wicked Truth but I really fell in love with her in The Wicked Love. Getting to see in her mind and the motivations behind her actions was enlightening, and digging deeper behind her façade into her true self was fascinating. She is such a complex and compelling character.
Pru has a way of making me fall in love with her characters and their relationships in her books. I absolutely loved diving deeper into Becca and Cal's history! Also, Cal was so incredibly protective of Becca (also hot 🥵) and I knew I would love him from the beginning. I was also really enjoyed seeing Stella and Cade from TWT, and I was so glad to have a conclusion to Stella's storyline from that book.
Overall, this book swept me up and twisted my emotions from excited and cheerful to heart-wrenchingly sad to nervous for all the characters. I definitely recommend you read it after you read The Wicked Truth (which is just as amazing!!) I can't wait to read whatever else Pru has in store for us

I'm shocked the plottwists trapped me even more into this universe.
Now I have to wait more than half a year to know what will happen next?
I literally can't wait to read more!!
Becca is a very strong, confident and rich woman.
Not only did she lose her mother to an illness, but also her father, who could no longer bear to be without his wife.
That itself is not everything she had to deal with, Becca also has a very difficult past, which doesn't make her life any easier, but makes you admire her strength even more.
Callum is a hot football player and would do anything for Becca.
For him, Becca has always been the one, he would do anything for her and support her in every decision she made.
However, he didn't have an easy past either, as neither of his parents gave him any love and he was more likely raised by his grandmother.
Im telling you, Becca and Callum are an absolute power couple for me!!
Not only is the tension between the two amazing, but in general the fact that Callum calls her love is it for me!!
Both totally deserve each other.
Im not lying when i tell you: they only deserve the best of the best!!

I... I have no words...
Wow, this book was truly amazing. This is Becca's story and if you have read The Wicked Truth you would have met Becca in that book, which was Stella's story. I highly recommend you read that book first if you have not yet.
This is such a beautiful and heartbreaking story. I will admit that when I first found out that Becca was getting her own story I was so excited. I really felt like she deserved a second chance and I'm so glad she gets that here. Her backstory is such a heartbreaking one and she has been through so much in such a short time. Callum is Becca's ex and let me just say he is amazing! Callum and Becca have a very complicated relationship because of everything that has happened. Callum never really got over Becca and you really get to see how much he truly loves her. He is so sweet with Becca and very possessive, which you'll know what I'm talking about when you read it. Both of them have dealt with many things in the past and I just really enjoyed getting their backstory to have a better understanding of everything. The Wicked Love is the kind of book that will break your heart, but you won't be able to put it down because it is such a masterpiece of a story. This book was such a fantastic one and I got to mention that I am so glad that we get to see more of Stella and Cade in this one! To be honest I am still in shock after finishing this one, no spoilers of course. But damn..... WHY? Anyways, Becca and Callum's story is not an easy one and there are plenty of bumps in the road, but in the end they do need each other. Their relationship is such a sweet one and I can't wait for the next book. Pru is such an amazing writer and her books are so beautiful, and I highly recommend you check them out if you haven't yet.
I would love to give this 10 stars, but I can't sadly. So, it's a five star read for me! Make sure to check the TWs though.

This book had all the crazy strong highs and lows as it was centered on Becca and Cal. This is the sequel to The Wicked Truth about Stella and Cade who we get to see quite a bit of.
There is so much heartache for all kinds of reasons from the past trauma, family, trying to stay away from love it all comes to a head when Cal can finally break her tough exterior. This poor rich girl has built a wall around herself to protect herself and she isn't as cold and heartless as she seems.
I loved Cals Grandma who was more like a mother to him. His family was a piece of work.
This book does end on a cliffhanger for book 3 but I'm totally intrigued.

Please do NOT NOT read this book because Becca was a B*word in the first book. This book is totally worth it and don't you deserve to find out what happens with Callum? Pru is an author that has totally taken be by surprise this year and I am officially obsessed. I don't want to spoil anything, but I can promise you you will not hate Becca after this and in fact I dare say you may come to like her. She has easily turned into one of my favorite characters. And no one is more surprised then me. If I could confront people like she can I would feel incredible. I strive to be like Becca honestly. This is a total redemption book for Becca while also pushing the story further and digging into the past a little bit. This book went in a totally different direction than I thought. I was not expecting that twist!! I highly highly recommend.

Heartbreakingly beautiful. Raw. Emotional. These are the words I would describe The Wicked Love (TWL). If you’ve read book one, The Wicked Truth, you’ve met our heroine and hero already. And let me tell you, I was not a fan our heroine Becca in book one, but I definitely softened for her by the end of it. Along with our hero, Cal.
TWL gives us Becca’s backstory and my gods is it so heart breaking. How she chose to mask her pain and trauma as someone who would rather hurt people first before they do her. Though her heart is so freaking big. Despite her traumas, Becca is resilient, strong and brilliant. I have never wanted to hug a character more than I wanted with Becca. As for Cal? I learned to like him in The Wicked Truth, but I fell in love with him in this book. As we got to know more about him, you can’t help but fall and cheer him on at trying to get the love of his life back.
This is a second chance romance for our MCs. Their chemistry is electric, the tension so freaking thick. They are so in tune with each other; soulmates. But their journey to get back together was not an easy one.
Like book one, this book put me through the motions. This story will break your heart and put it back together again by the end. The author never fails at letting you feel every. Single. Emotion.
I am a fan of this authors words, the way she weaves and tells a story. I can not wait for more from her.

In The Wicked Love, Becca and Callum’s story unravels the roots of their demise and their current taunting dynamics. While Callum thinks he’s got a second chance, Becca is ensuring heartbreak, even at her expense.
Buckle up for some gritty and angsty dark moments in the mind of Becca. Callum is the GREATEST man out there. His patience and kindness to Becca is unmatched. Some of y’all are walking away with a new Book Boyfriend!

I definitely enjoyed reading this story. It's my second 5 star read by Pru Schuyler and I really hope to read a new one from her very soon!!
This ending left me wanting to scream and throw a major tantrum, cry until I'm fresh out of tears and in need of answers!!
Pru, you promised answers so I am going to patiently wait for them, even though I'd rather have the closure my brain is desperate for.
This is a really sweet but very tense story that will keep you on your toes and wanting more!!

I liked this second book more than the first (that does not mean that I didn't like the first, because I enjoyed it too), it is because I was able to empathize more with Cal and Becca.
In the first book I didn't like Becca's attitude toward Stella and I found her mean, but now we get to know more about her and why she did and acted like a b*tch with everyone. As for Cal I knew I would like him since he first showed up in the first book and I also fell more in love with him in this book (I really liked his never ending love for Becca and how he was willing to wait for her).
The book has a lot of difficult moments for both protagonists so it was sad to read but, at the same time, you want to know their development throughout the story and you're so hooked up that you can't stop reading until you finish it and then, you want more of the friends.
The Wicked Love is a book about resilience and learning to love yourself again after a shocking experience and that you are not alone.

In the first book I didn't like Becca's attitude toward Stella and I found her mean, but now we get to know more about her and why she did and acted like a b*tch with everyone. As for Cal I knew I would like him since he first showed up in the first book and I also fell more in love with him in this book (I really liked his never ending love for Becca and how he was willing to wait for her).
The book has a lot of difficult moments for both protagonists so it was sad to read but, at the same time, you want to know their development throughout the story and you're so hooked up that you can't stop reading until you finish it and then, you want more of the friends.
The Wicked Love is a book about resilience and learning to love yourself again after a shocking experience and that you are not alone.

I loved this book! I loved the first book, but the depth of the characters and the dynamic between them was so good in this book. Becca and Cal are perfect! Then the cliffhanger ending….!

This book was average. I was excited to see a badass FMC and it kind of lived up to the hype. The storyline wasn’t as good as I thought. It was okay. I was told this was a standalone but it literally ended in a cliffhanger. Kinda mad about it but whatever. Overall it was a short read but was average. 3/5

Well this is the first book of 2022 to make me cry about 85 -90% of the book. At the end of the prologue I wanted to cry. At the end of chapter two I wanted to cry. This book made me cry! So gosh darn good it hit me right in the feelers. Really deep. Erg!!!! The urge to throw this book in someone’s face to tell them you need to read it is strong. Read it!
Becca and Cal’s story is the best! They seriously have my whole freaking heart right now. Since the ending of The Wicked Truth I felt like there was so much more to Becca than meets the eye and she has so much hidden within her. I just didn’t know how much. To see her journey was intense. I was rooting for her the entire time. I know she wasn’t my favorite at first but now… Team Becca 100%.
Cal. Cal. Cal. I’ve loved him since we first saw him with Gran in The Wicked Truth when Stella… ya know. He is the best cinnamon roll 🥰. Eeeek! His childhood broke my heart and for the man he became… 🥹. I could never get enough of Cal. His relationship with Gran *swoon*. Plus I was so glad to see his relationship with Stella was like a real thing and how they became BFFs. He’s just the biggest teddy bear that ever was a teddy bear.
That ending. How could you? I mean completely caught me off guard & was so very unexpected. I’m still in shock. But I love it. I live for cliffhanger endings to my core. This was book heaven for me.

Omg I absolutely adored this book.
I finished the book few days ago, and I still think about it so much. When I read the wicked truth, i knew that Becca and Cal will be my fav couple. I had high expectations for the book. I wasn’t disappointed.
I was hooked from the first line of the book.
The wicked love is a freaking second chance romance !!! I REPEAT A SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE. Literally one of my fav tropes ever.
So becca and cal were together in high school, but something happened, and they broke up.
Now we’re few years after and Becca is the CEO of her family’s legacy, and cal has to stay in her hotel for a training with his team. So they see each other again, but little does they know!! They’re still in love with each other 😭😭. Cal is ready to fight for their relationship, but Bec is trying to push him away, for some reasons.
I won’t tell more, I’ll let you read the book to know. It’s was an absolutely beautiful book. It’s more than a love story. BUT MISS PRU THE ENDING???? I need explanation now, and I need the third book now too. My heart can’t wait till 2023, to know what happened 😭😭.
Overall i absolutely adored this book, and I’m so thankful for the arc. I’m so proud of Pru for writing this book.

I hated Becca in The Wicked Truth. She deserved that Gatorade! But I HAD to read this because I LOVE Cal!!! I needed make sure he got everything he deserved and more! He's such an amazing man despite the hand he was dealt. He has soooo much love!
Becca.....shes been through some ish....and then some more. Knowing her back story and getting in her brain really changed my view of her. I now cant tell if id rather be her or be her friend...or maybe her assistant... Becca is one of the strongest main characters there is. Period. I love her.
I was also so happy to get so much more of Stella and Cade!! I cannot and will not chose who I love more of these 4 amazing characters. And the new football team!? I love them! (Except T....)
This story will forever be burned into my heart and soul. I cried a lot reading from the good to the bad. I felt it alllll

First thing that needs to be said is I loved this book! So so much. Becca and Cal's dynamic is everything. I didn't think it was possible to love a couple more than Stella and Cade but honestly these two won me over.
I loved Callum's determination. How no matter what he was never going to stop to get his girl back. How he knew it wasn't a matter of if but when. Side note...him calling her love. Ah! He has also made me look at mirrors differently. Iykyk. *swoon*
Oh Becca, becca... if you told me I would actually love her from the first book I would of said you were crazy. I'm so glad I got to understand her. My heart. She had more of her share of heartache.
This book had me laughing, feeling emotional, and all mushy feeling throughout. Love these characters and I mean the whole group.
I'm dying for the next book as that cliffy of an ending has me desprate for answers.

becca and callum are literal soulmates. we meet both in wicked truth, cal immediately caught my attention. he had me secretly pining after him. he’s the only man who can comfort her with a single look, the only man who truly sees becca. i originally had a love/hate relationship with becca but she absolutely changed the game in this book. we get to really understand what goes down and why she acts the way she does. definitely worked her way into my heart, i absolutely love her!

I loved getting to know Becca better and seeing that she isnt the bad girl that we get to know in The Wicked Truth. She has her whole own story that really makes you get to know and understand her. Also, prepare to fall in love with Callum, because howly... . I was totally team Cade as favorite boy but Callum also made me fall for him and now I can't chose anymore, so let's call it even. I love the way Pru writes and takes you on the journey. All that there is left to say for this book is: prepare yourself in any way you can for the ending.... :)) That's it, please read this book and recommend it to everyone because it deserves as much love as it can get.
