Started reading and meant to read 25% but couldn’t stop. I had to know what happened next. It was fast paced and exciting but just a little over-the-top and a bit unrealistic at times. Inliked the rapport between Arielle and Neil. It eas interesting to see how the FBI. Co-ordinated with a small town law enforcement department. *I borrowed this ebook from Prime Reading. All opinions are my own.*
"Crime Scene Cover-Up" is a romantic suspense. Arielle travelled to the crime scene, walked around, then sat at various desks for a week (since the killer's attacks made her frequently relocate). I kept wondering why she didn't just go back to the home office, leaving the killer behind and allowing for greater safety by working at her FBI office. She didn't have any in-person interviews scheduled or anything. Anyway, it's very exciting due to the limited number of people available to protect her, her toddler daughter, and her mother (who came with her). There were constant attacks, and she was able to contribute very little toward solving the case until the very end.
Arielle suspected Neil was hiding something about the night her husband died and so distrusted him until she saw his solid work ethic and caring attitude toward others. He was content to "be the bad guy" in her estimation rather than ruin her rosy view of her husband. They ended up getting along and working well together, but the romance was rushed: at the end of about a week, it suddenly hit Neil that he intensely loved Arielle and her family. He proposed marriage, and they 'both got the family they so wanted.' I felt like they hardly knew each other and what's the big rush? There was no sex or bad language.
My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Crime Scene Cover-Up. I'm a big fan of Sharon's work. This is an amazing book. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of intrigue. I know you are going to love this one.
FBI profiler Arielle Olson is a single mother. She had lost her agent husband to the serial killer called the Arson Killer two years ago. She has chased the killer over four states and several dead bodies. Now he has returned to his first kill. Why? She soon finds out that she is his next target.
Sheriff Neil Coban waited to meet Arielle. He called to find out if she was having trouble. As he talks to her she is run off the road. When he arrives she has a text on her phone saying "Perhaps you'll die... next time" He calls to have her car pulled out of the ditch and they drive to the crime scene. Is the killer still watching? Can he keep her safe?
A terrifying journey to find the killer before they are killed. God has a plan for these two. A plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A plan for peace and not for destruction even in this time of political chaos. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
I rate this 3.5 stars as there were several editing mistakes that distracted from the story. Otherwise I would have given it a solid 4. The story was nonstop run for your life scenes that kept you biting your nails and trying to figure out who was behind it. I loved Zoe as she brought sweetness to the story and a child always gets my heart. I loved that Arielle and Neil took time to pray and family was important. I enjoyed this author and would read more books written by her. I won a copy of this book. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.
What a great and fast paced action packed story this was! I loved the strong characters in the book. Arielle Olson, the FBI profiler who is searching relentlessly for the Arson Killer. She finds herself in Silver Creek, Montana where local Sheriff Neil Cobain assists her in trying to track down the illusive killer. Arielle’s sweet daughter Zoe and her mom are also in constant danger due to the killers evil plans. There were constant dangerous situations. In the midst of these events, Neil and Arielle are drawn together. They see how God protects them and slowly learn to trust each other and see about where this relationship will go. I didn’t figure out who the killer was to the very end. Pick up this book! You won’t want to put it down!
I really enjoyed this book. It had a very good plot line and kept you in suspense. However someone must have missed editing the book. There were several times where he was written when it should have been her. There were some other errors in the book but not much. However I would still recommend the book, it was a good read.
Good mystery with lots of intrigue. An FBI agent comes to a small town to investigate a murder and arson. She is a profiler and has run into this person before. The sheriff assists with the case and she has brought some of her family. Very intense and thrilling conclusion as they close in on the guilty person. Very realistic story.
This book took off at the beginning and never stopped. I missed sleep over it because I could not put it down when the Chapter was over. I would end up reading until I fell asleep - way too late!!. It was action-packed! I did expect them to pray more since it was a Christian book. I cannot wait to read the next one.
this is a page turning story to the end. fbi profiler arielle is trying to find the arsonist that is killing and them burning them. the sheriff is niel who was with her husband when he was killed on a stake out. the person keeps finding her when the are hurt somehow the bad guy keeps getting to her and those with her. very good
Good read lots of action, intrigue, suspense with a love interest. A deranged arson serial killer is on the hunt for a FBI profiler who is getting close to catching him. I recommend this book.
I absolutely devour these romantic suspense books. Consumed this one in a couple hours. LOVED it, even if the ending was incredibly fast and probably wouldn't happen in a million years. LOL GREAT read!!
This was an exciting story and a quick read. I enjoyed the plot and the characters. I was impressed with Arielle's devotion to her child and her job and with Neil's compassion and sensitivity. I recommend this book to all who love suspense!
This book was fantastic! I love stories about profiles and this book did not disappoint. I had no idea who the criminal was until the end. You must read this. No disappointment here.
I enjoyed this action packed and suspenseful by Sharon Dunn. This small town saw a lot action in small amount of time while looking for the arsonist. I liked the romance between the two main leads.
This is a good story with many twists and turns that keeps you reading. The characters are individually interesting. The book ends on a happily ever after.
I read this back in 2023, I rembr I liked it, but do not remember specific details of the plot or characters, maybe slightly after reading the other reviews
