The only thing worse than marrying your prissy childhood friend in a Vegas wedding is waking up the next morning and hearing she forgot about it.

I got my best friend pregnant.

No sense sugar-coating the truth because the Vegas wedding and drunken honeymoon are just a tiny part of the story. The real crapstorm is what happens after Vanya finds out there’s a bun in her oven.

Since the start of her career as a plus-size model, Vanya’s been known for one thing: how much she doesn’t want kids. To make matters worse, the kid she’s having is with me—the man who’s been secretly crushing on and openly terrorizing her since middle school.

Given how much I’ve pined for her, you’d think I’d be ready for a kid. Wrong. As careless heir to a family fortune, responsibility and I don’t get along. But I’m determined to do the right thing, so I move in to take care of Vanya and work as her assistant.

What I don’t expect is to fall hard for her while she’s bossing me around. With every shared breakfast, every silly argument and every angry kiss, I know a family with Vanya is what I want. But she’s tougher than a drill sergeant and hates what she can’t control. Can I convince the mother of my kid that her perfect future should include me?

Enjoy fierce, determined heroines and flawed, alpha heroes? Then dive in! Every book in the Billionaire Dads series is BWWM and can be read as a standalone. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and, of course, a guaranteed HEA!

1.5 stars.

I didn't like this one either. 2/4 in this series work for me, apparently. In this one, I didn't hate either of the MCs, I just found everything in this to be... bland.

Strangely enough, for the only book (of the 4 I've read) in the series where we're told repeatedly that the MCs don't get along, these 2 get along the best out of the 4 couples I've read so far. What made their relationship so strange was that it felt like Vanya was the only one of them determined to keep saying she didn't like Haydn (and why was his name spelled that way?). The only real compliments she seemed to have for him were related to his looks so it made her attraction to him seem so incredibly shallow.

The repeated references to the Chai thing was annoying very, very early. Honestly, it made me wonder if there was nothing else to give Vanya as a character. Aside from her continuing the annoying trend of only defending awful people. I still hold a grudge from her barging into Dawn's place in the last book and demanding she forgive Max for his horrific actions because he was sad. In this book, she defends Haydn's awful mother and father for no real reason other than she knows what it's like to lose a parent. Like, that's real sad, but the Mulliez family was still being awful.

Haydn caused issues for himself because he just wouldn't open his mouth. The miscommunication thing was just so incredibly drawn out and it really, really didn't need to be.

It's odd, but for a story with such an interesting premise, I'm disappointed in the execution. Nothing went far enough (except for the villains (like the fatphobic fashion lady) being cartoonishly evil. I'm disappointed, but more interested in whatever's going on with DeJonae. I was more interested in that than what was going on with Haydn and Vanya.

Vanya and Hayden were exhausting! Why was "Chai" such a character in the story? Nothing ever got deep and when it started to get deep it when right back to physical attraction. Also, the fatphobia, racism, classism, and family dynamics had me ready to throw my Kindle multiple times even close to the end.

Oh my god - that was freaking painful. Vanya’s character was so good at self sabotaging and being stubborn. I wanted to materialize myself into the book so I could talk some sense into her. The one thing that was consistent was her love for Chai. That’s all I will remember. She hated Hadyn with a passion but had no valid reason for disliking him so strongly. She was simply scared to have her heart broken.

The authors style of writing and story telling was great. I have nothing bad to say about her talent. I just had issues with the characters and wanted to 5row one out of a window.

3/5 this wasn’t bad but i’m not overly inlove with it

it was an okay read nothing special

honestly i feel like i’m over this series it just feels like each book is the same thing just in a different font, nothing really changes the couples first start off arguing with each other and then continue to argue throughout the book but it’s their relationship and it continues on throughout every book in this series

I also wish that we got more of Hayden, Vanya, and max's friendship. we saw their friendship in mass book but I wish we got more scenes of all of them I would've loved that

i just wish we got different things in this series it just feels the same and honestly i’m getting bored of it

𝐋𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐳𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢 𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢 𝐡𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐚 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚: 😆 🥰 😊 😟 😭 😠

𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐨:

Ho adorato vederli ispirarsi e incoraggiarsi a vicenda.
Commovente l'evoluzione dei personaggi e le loro storie, gradevoli le scene d'amore.

Poteva finire al 75%? Sì, ma l'ho apprezzato ugualmente.

Never doubt the power of a good ol cheesy romance. Almost every scenario in this book is far fetched and unrealistic but we need these types of books to remind us that love is real and can happen for everyone. Got me wanting to find my very own Hadyn lol

My favorite story so far in this series. I looooved the hero had doable hangups. (He's a good man Savannah) The heroine was extremely funny, but had some barriers to overcome.

I keep reading this series thinking Nia's writing will get better, but it doesn't, but I'm too stubborn to put it down. Nia's writing has promise, but it often falls flat—there's no emotion behind it, and all her characters—grown adults, most who are parents—act like insecure teenagers. Who hate each other for no real reason, just like a 2013 Twilight fanfic! No, seriously, the leads just hate each other for no fucking apparent reason.

Vanya and Hadyn's back and forth is annoying, juvenile, and ridiculous, and the constant reference to the baby as Project Vegas got really old, really fast. As did her addiction to chai. We get it—you like chai. Good for you, bitch. I don't care.

I did not like Vanya whatsoever when it comes to the baby—if you're really not ready, if you really don't want kids and having this baby will ruin everything you've worked for, why don't you ever even consider aborting it? If it's that big of deal, I mean. And I got so sick of the constant body shaming of other women, specifically thinner ones. I get it—Vanya's a plus-sized model—but Jesus, is it really necessary to describe the thin models as “stickbugs” and constantly harp about Hadyn having previous thinner partners?

And don't get me started on her being a shitty friend to Hadyn when it comes to his family issues. You don't get to pull the dead parent card when it comes to other people's relationships with their parents. That was a bitchy move. In fact, almost all of Vanya's moves were bitchy, immature, and bratty. Also

The relationship between Vanya and Hadyn felt forced, rushed, and nonsensical. One minute they'd be fighting and the next they'd be soooooo horny. And Vanya was literally fighting for her LIFE to not jump this guy's bones as if self-control is hard.

I'll keep going with the series because, well, I'm stubborn and don't like DNFing books. I'll buy the physical books too, once I'm finished reading them on Kindle, but I don't think I'll probably ever pick them up again. Hopefully her writing in her other books is better but I'm not holding my breath.

In general, while I think all of Nia Arthurs' books in this series could have used 1 more round of edits. She seems to have trouble with timelines; tends to cram everything into a short time frame that, if spread out, would make more sense to the story/characters. She also seem to have at least one glaring contradiction about a character's back story. In this book, it was her dad- went bankrupt when she was a teenager, never truly recovered. Then randomly he did and it was a great rags to riches story, then a few chapters later it's back to never truly recovering from the bankruptcy. Not a truly important detail, but something an editor or beta reader could have caught.

These are not the reasons I gave this book only 2 stars. That honor is reserved for the heroine. Nothing was offensive, which was the only reason I didn't give it 1 star. I nearly quit at 85% because every Vanya POV chapter made me dislike her more. I will preface this with a note that this is not meant to be a "be nice to my book bf" rant. I wouldn't consider Hadyn good book bf material. However, Vanya was unlikeable for all but a handful of short moments. She was downright mean to Hadyn for most of the book and never has to make amends. The closest Vanya comes to "making things right" was when she was mad at her dad for tricking Hadyn into believing something terrible. I kept waiting for her to redeem herself for all of the extreme pushing away she did to everyone, or get called out in a "coming to Jesus" moment, and then having a well thought out epiphany- never happened. Her dad very gently tells her she doesn't have to be so independent and then In the meantime, Hadyn, who hasn't done anything terrible, except be hesitant about telling this mean, standoffish person he loves her (his hesitancy is completely justified up to this point), gets cornered and chewed out by all the men for an entire chapter while he's already visibly miserable, then he has to make things right.

I'm probably done with Nia Arthurs, at least for a while.

Disappointing

I continue to read this series, perhaps more out of curiosity. I figured out what does not appeal to me the most about this series. It’s strikes me as being more for an adolescent or YA audience. The simplicity in how the story evolves leaves me wanting. Particularly in the writing style. It reminds me of a wholesome hallmark movie, which tends not to capture my attention due to the cliches and corniness of the storytelling. This particular book had an interesting premise and started off okay. Unfortunately it somehow derailed into ridiculous (mis)communication issues, things occurring that made no sense, and an absurd lie told by the heroine’s dad.
On a positive note, I tend to dislike insta-love novels and this book isn’t one of them. I also do appreciate the adorable children; the friendships in the books, and the happy endings.

Cute but a tad underwhelming

Loved the dynamic of Vanya & Haydn. Opposite attracts with childhood friends backstory. Loved Haydn talking about his brother and the impact of him on his life. Loved seeing vanya struggle with letting friends in but the journey of being loved by them. Of course loved the characters from the previous books.

However, it was a bit repetitive of the arguing about ‘he doesn’t love me, she doesn’t love me and should I tell my true feelings’

I would’ve rather had scenes of the healing journey with Haydn and his dad. Vanya and Haydn discussing how to raise their child, going to parenting classes, and more.

We saw his mom after his dad got better in the hospital but never again. Things just felt too open ended.

(If you want spice, this book isn’t for you)

I love a book with banter and Nia delivered. Vanya and Hadyn are both aggravating but funny as hell. Was the Chai thing a little over done? Sure. But we all have our vices and I thought her obsession was funny asf. I will say tho, there are very few books including a plus size character that I can resonate with because they tend to be insecure and their lives revolve around their body. Vanya didn’t make everything about her weight. She wasn’t insecure. Sure, her job was about being plus size but she herself didn’t give a flying f**k about how other people felt about her body. She did her job and she did it well and then she went on with her life. She existed loudly and knew being fat was one of the least interesting things about her.

Maybe I just resonated too much with the character because of also being fat, being in the media, and having lost my mom. So I didn’t find how she pushed people away and shoved down her feelings alarming or annoying. It’s normal 🤷🏾‍♀️. Same with Hadyn.
I know some people like to be able to fully check out of books and don’t want to feel a connection with the characters but I loved how I could relate with them both in some kind of way. And the “hatred” Vanya had for Hadyn? The girls that get it get it fr. When you know how vulnerable something could make you, you push it away by any means necessary.

Overall, this is my favorite book from this series. Nia did a great job with the plus size representation, with the banter, with the overcoming trauma and having tough conversations.

A literary couple masterpiece

Hayden and Vanya story grip to me from the first page and refuse to let go. Please make sure to check in on your strong friends, they have scars that are unhealed that you may never get the chance to see. It may look like strength and my favorite everything under control, but they are unraveling and just trying to hide it. A well-balanced relationship involves some vulnerability and sharing. Hayden could see right through Vanya and was her Shadow protection throughout many years of their lives. He didn't got too comfortable being quiet and being in the background and did not know how to communicate communicate with her in her love language. Both of them had fears and insecurities that stood in the way of them forming a relationship. Without the perfect storm of a Vegas drunk wedding and an instant pregnancy, the two may have never found their way to each other and the life that they built.
I can't wait too read Dejonae and Suzuki's story.

Nia Arthurs….. I heart you!!!

I love reading, I especially love it when there is a series with more than 3 books!!! But for some odd reason I cannot read them one after the other. Too monotonous. I lose interest way too quickly. But with the Billionaire Dads series, each book is a standalone story with some beautifully done commingling of characters and their own plot lines ::insert golf clap here::

Okay now on to this story….. I see myself in Vanya. I wish I could be her in that she is a plus-sized model. But the fact that she built up walls to protect herself and needs to have things in a way that she can control them and cautious;made me fall in love with this book even more.

Reading how Vanya and Haydn’s romance blossomed made me hopeful that I can find someone who loves me as much as Haydn loves him some Vanya. Just maybe without the “head-butts” yeah right I’m a Taurus!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

If she says the word, I’m going to switch into a British accent and pretend we’re tourists from London. Hullo, I’ve never ‘eard of that woman in my life!

Fur-nando strides right past me, drops his face to hers and plants loud kisses on her cheeks. My eyes widen and I consider how far we are from the nearest volcano. This guy needs to be sacrificed to something

Friends to lovers was hard for this couple!

Haydn and Vanya have been close friends since childhood and secretly in love with each other for the same amount of time even though they have just stayed friends all these years. When a drunken dare place them in a marriage and impending Parenthood things get convuluted! They go through the usual denials of love for one another, family drama and friend intervention until they finally accept what is so obvious to everyone around them and solidify their lives together!!! Their set of friends and others they add on the way are hilarious in how they get these two to accept the obvious. I liked their story very much.

Definitely Worth Reading

I loved reading Hayden and Vanya. Hayden was so calm and carefree and he loved some Vanya. Vanya was smart and confident. Vanya was really relatable and how she felt she could
only depend on herself after the pain she suffering losing her mother. Hayden suffered too with losing his brother and blaming his father. Hayden was just perfect for Vanya because he loved her for such a long time ( he didn't know it was love when they were young) and his feeling only grew for Vanya with them getting married and having 'Project Vegas'. It was good seeing the old friends and meeting new ones. A definite good read.

Book 4 of the Billionaire Dads series, this friends-to-lovers tale has a lot going on and it all starts with a drunken night in the city of sin.

We have Vanya Beckford, plus-size model, influencer and cookbook author - who's on a celebrating spree in Las Vegas with her annoying childhood best friend, Haydyn. One thing leads to another, and they end up married and pregnant. And now, Vanya's life is completely changed as she's always made it known how much she doesn't want kids.

A lot changes in their relationship, too, I just wish her denial and stubbornness didn't just magically vanish towards the end when she's spent the entirety of the story against them being together full-time.

forever ever love

Hayden, Max and Vanya have been friends since childhood. Hayden and Vanya are like oil and water. They argue, they don’t ever agree, she needs control and he’s carefree. He annoys her to no end and she bosses him around. Underneath all of their history and friendship you’d never guess there was potential for more until a drunken night in Vegas leads to marriage and a baby carriage.
These two continue their unorthodox union with a lot of bumps along the way and very emotionally revealing situations. If either of them actually opened their eyes they’d recognize love.
This was a great read!

Haydn Mulliez, my how you won me over. 😌🤣

I really enjoyed this book. I think the reason for giving it a 4 star rating and not 5 stars is because sometimes, Vanya could be a bit too stubborn for my liking. I know she has her trauma and shields her heart of far if being burned, but sometimes I really didn’t understand her attitude towards Haydn. I loved their banter, don’t get me wrong, but I also feel like he totally came through for her on multiple occasions and she kinda put him through the wringer. I do like Vanya though. Give me a Haydn any damn day though. He did it for me 😌🤣🤣🤣🤣

it was good but it was bad too
it was fun and had great moments! but my main issue is when Vanya and Hayden were introduced in the previous book their relationship was Vanya bearly tolerated Hayden, but Hayden was a love-sick puppy for her! When did it change to them barely able to tolerate each other?!!
but at the end of the book comes the reveal that he always loved her and protected her and paved her path and whatnot!! Hayden's character was turning left and right to what convinced the plot and story flow!
Vanya was much better written than him but in the end, both of them were exhausting to read !!

His True Love

Hadyn and Vanya have that kind of love-hate relationship since they were kids, what Vanya didn’t know was that Hadyn always protecting and loving her in secret . To Vanya Hadyn is playboy who is spending daddy’s money with no care in the world and the Vegas marriage was a big fat “mistake “ that she wants to dissolve. But Hadyn won’t let her…
See what happened and how loving and nurturing a man can be, even he doesn’t even know it himself.
I love Hadyn and Vanya!!!
And all the friends… 😮
Great read! great series!!! awesome characters!!

Vanya and Hadyn - Finally

I loved, loved ,loved this book. Nia Arthurs has done it again. Hadyn and Vanya are perfect together but Vanya has insecurities because of her size and peoples opinion. But she doesn’t let it show and Hadyn will not so secretly hurt anyone that hurts her. SPOILER ALERT: He has protected her, without her knowledge, since high school. Buying up companies so that she could fulfill her modeling dream. They finally became a family of 3. Project Vegas is now a beautiful baby girl named Olivia, Ollie (after Hadyn’s brother Ollie who passed away).

loved it!

Truthfully, Vanya and Hayden might be my new favorite couple in this series! But I’m a sucker for a good best friend to lovers romance. They’ve been friends since childhood and in a way Hayden has always been drawn to Vanya who won’t give him the time of day. I loved how Hayden’s love for Vanya slowly but surely melted her icy walls. I’ve felt like Vanya, wanting to control everything and my entire life. So happy she finally was able to trust and let love win her over!

This book, for me, was a little boring to read. The story is not bad, but there is something about it that make is really boring to me.
Maybe is because Vanya and Hayden are exhausting. They are adults, but they don't act like it sometimes. She pissed me off, why is she so stubborn? Why does she treat Hayden so bad? It's not his fault they got drunk and decided to get married?
However, I will admit that the story at the end was not so bad. The general feeling when reading it was "meh", it was not bad, but it was nothing special either.

Noticing a pattern...

This is the second title I've read by this author. In the book before this one, it seemed like something was missing from the couples relationship and it's missing here too. There seems to be a pattern where there is no character growth from the FMC and the MMC will be the only one learning from past mistakes. It's tolerable for this book and the last, but if this is a series wide problem, I can see it getting old very quickly. The next book will suffer if the current formula continues.

3.5 I really loved the couple. But again I struggled to get into the story. Also I really wanna see something else pop up with the past couples but nothing happens just like mentions. I will say I do like how you get introduced to a certain character you see them frequently and there the one that the next book is about. I am looking forward to this one as it’s the one that got me intrigued in the series and has deaf representation so I’ll see.

The same..

All of your books are the same. Girl hates boy, then they fall in love. The only difference is the characters. They are long, very long. I read the exert from the next book, SAME THING!! All these words and very boring. It seems you are making stuff linger to make it interesting. The only thing I want is for it to end. Does Sunny's mom not have a husband? I skipped to the end of the rest of the books, that is why I didn't review them.
