Omg how does this have so few ratings?!
The illustrations were just as *perfection* as the writing.
Esra is this demure little half fae waif. If trembling could be made into a human, that’s Esra.
Then comes the soldiers led by this giant dark hunky Knight to destroy his village and torture his father for info. He’s spared bc he catches the knight’s eye.
Ahhhh. The beautiful descriptions and his inner turmoil and the way the take-what-he-wants-knight starts to cherish him?! The size difference?! I love this kind of thing hahaha. I need volume 2. I need 10 volumes.

I want to meet the god king and the other knights and find out what “knights choice” means…are they going to make him immortal? Are they vampires?! What happened to Kian? How can Esra ever forgive Umbra?! Man. More. More please.

While I did enjoy this book, it was 80% smut with not much plot happening.
I wish there was an idea about what the main story will be/ conflict in the series because I have no idea after finishing the first book.
The characters are interesting and compelling and the writing style is fast paced, I just wish there was more for me to latch onto.
Esra is a pretty unique main character but he’s not quite driven enough for my taste.
If you’re into problematic spice, you will definitely enjoy this one.
