Who is Steve and where is he from? What is he doing when we find him at the start of the story? Who are Luke and Marigold? What does Steve's father tell him to do and what was his response? Who is Chloe and where is she headed? Why? What happens with her GPS? Why does she get into an accident, or two? How does Steve meet her? Who are Dominic, Adam, Taylor, Paul, Jessica, Matt, Kevin, and Carter? How do these folks all know one another? What are they each up to? Where are Matt, Kevin, and Carter at? How does Chloe lose her memory? What happens as she starts to remember things and talks to Steve about them? When secrets are revealed, things definitely get interesting. Boy did things get crazy when Luke and Marigold showed up at Steve's home. I loved Chloe's reaction to them being in the house. What happened that caused Dominic to call Steve in the middle of the night? You have to read and see what happens! The caves were, I think, my favorite part of the story!

Betrayed Secret Wolf continues the Shifter Wolves of Pleasant Valley with a gripping story full of danger, vile bad guys, and amnesia – plus two strangers discovering that fated mates are a real thing even when one isn’t a wolf shifter.
Chloe was traveling towards a small town when she inadvertently saw something she shouldn’t have, or to her mind, couldn’t have when she saw men changing into wolves to attack the cattle in a field just off of the road she was traveling. Things go from bad to worse as she tries to escape, is followed, and drifts out of her lane straight into an oncoming truck. Her terror is obviously more than simply the crash, and as she passes out her rescuer will do some fast thinking to get her into the nearby hospital without being seen by those he suspects are behind her mad dash into town.
Chloe will awaken from the ordeal without any memory of what happened to be handed into the care of Steve, the man who rescued her (and also the owner of the truck she ran into), as they head to his cabin far from prying eyes they need to sort out if the danger she is in comes from other similar scenes happening in the area recently. And if so, protect her at all cost until her memory returns. In the meantime, Steve knows she is his mate, yet Chloe has no idea (that she’s aware of) that men can actually change into wolves. In his desire to win her heart, solve the mystery, and keep the woman he has bonded with out of the hands of vile men willing to do anything to protect their cause and themselves Steve will be convinced to take her on a camping trip down the river… and right into Chloe’s memories.
I enjoyed my time in Betrayed Secret Wolf. Chloe’s story is intriguing not only what she cannot remember but those bits and pieces she picks up slowly, especially the discovery of the caves. I was fascinated by that aspect of their story. I adored Steve, he wants to do the right thing but needs to protect his mate from the vile men who are out to destroy the town. Watching them fall in love (on Chloe’s part), get through the memory loss, and solve a few mysteries was such an entertaining journey.
I hadn’t read the first story in the series, but I have purchased Discouraged Secret Wolf which will fill my need to know the entire storyline. I didn’t feel as though I missed anything important by jumping into the second story, and there was enough natural narrative or dialogue that filled in any questions for me. If you love a good shifter romance with likable, believable characters, a bit of mystery, definitely steamy moments, and mates discovering their future then you’d enjoy Betrayed Secret Wolf.

This Series Just Keeps Getting Better!
Chloe is lost somewhere in Texas and she is trying to find someplace to give her directions. Distracted, her car runs off the road and ends up in the ditch. Just when she thinks things can’t get any worse, two trucks race by her, pull off the road, the men get out of the trucks, turn into wolves, jump through the fence and start killing cows. When they spot her from the field they start coming towards her. She panics and manages to get her car back on the road. She goes around a corner too fast and runs into the car coming the other way. She gets out of the car and starts to run, but the person in the other truck catches her just as she passes out.
Steve Parker is returning home from another disastrous dinner at his parent’s house. If it wasn’t for his mother, he would never step foot there again. He is suddenly hit by a car coming the other way with it’s lights off. When he goes to see if the other person is okay, a woman runs out of the car talking about wolves and dead cows and then passes out in his arms. Unfortunately, he has a pretty good idea of what has happened. He calls his friend Dominic, the sheriff, and they meet at the back of the hospital to sneak her in so no one will know she is there. If the men that killed the cows saw her, they will be looking to take care of the loose end. When Steve holds her he feels something he has never felt before, like he is coming home. Suspecting that she is his mate, he will do anything to protect her.
When Chloe wakes up in the hospital with a splitting headache, the doctor starts asking her a few questions. She panics when she realized that she can’t remember anything – at all! The doctor says temporary amnesia is fairly common with concussions and that her memory will return on its own. They are concerned about keeping her safe until the sheriff can find the men that might be looking for her. She agrees to go with Steve to his isolated cabin so he can protect her. She doesn’t know why but she feel comfortable and safe with Steve. As they spend time together they draw closer. Steve is afraid to act on his feelings before Chloe regains her memory. She is very attracted to Steve but isn’t sure if she has anyone waiting for her at home either. When things start going out of control with Steve’s family and men come to town claiming to be her brother and offering a big reward if anyone can find her, Steve isn’t sure if he can keep her safe or not.
Is this another attack by The Texas Cattleman’s Association? Have they decided to attack Pleasant Valley now? And how will Chloe feel when she finds out Steve is a wolf shifter?.

Chloe is driving through Pleasant Valley when she sees something she shouldn't. Fleeing the scene, she runs right into Steve, well, he runs right into her because she has no headlights on. The collision causes her to lose her memory, but the garbled story she told Steve before she passed out was enough to cause the sheriff and the rest of Steve's friends to be concerned for her safety. Steve gets elected to hide her out at his secluded cabin. Since he has a feeling she is his mate, he is not sure this is a good idea. She can't remember whether she has a significant other, or even if she has any family. This could go very wrong.
Chloe is not sure why she suddenly wants to throw herself at Steve, but she isn't sure how long she can wait to figure out if she is unattached. A trip down the river with him will at least give her something else to think about. But men are looking for her and Steve will have to figure out a way to keep her safe. More importantly, he needs to find a way to keep her.

This book about two fated mates coming together after each one has a bad night, one witnessed men changing into wolves and killing cattle and the other has a fight with his family over land he owns and his family wants. Chloe is driving home when she sees a group of men change into wolves and kill cattle in a field and when they see her they give chase and so she flees and has a accident hitting a parked truck and ends up with amnesia but she remembers the sexy as sin man that saved her Steve. Steve has just left from having dinner with his family and it didn’t end well because all they want is the land he owns and is pressuring him to transfer it over but he refuses and storms out. Now pulled over on the side of the road he gets into and accident with he is hit from behind and when he sees the human female who is injured his wolf knows she is his mate but she is human and its forbidden for them to be together but now to keep her safe from the other wolf shifters he takes her to his cabin where the more time they spend together they fall in love. What happens with everyone involved, can Steve keep her safe and do they get there HEA in the end, and to find out get this amazing book to get the answers.

'Betrayed Secret Wolf' is Serena Meadows second book in her Shifter Wolves Of Pleasant Valley series and tells the story of Chloe, a human, and Steve, a wolf shifter. Chloe is driving through Pleasant Valley when she sees something she shouldn't and couldn't believe. Driving off in a panic she runs right into Steve. The collision causes her to lose her memory, but not before she told Steve what she thinks she saw.

This is the story of Steve and Chloe. Steve is a shifter who has had it with his family and the way they treat him. Everything is always about his older brother and his wife, and Steve can do nothing right. Chloe is just a girl who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and sees things she should not have seen. Luckily Steve comes upon her after she is in an accident and feels an instant connection to her and wants to keep her safe. Unfortunately, Chloe cannot remember anything as she has lost her memory. Steve and Chloe start to spend time together as the few people who know about her, want to keep her protected from what is going on in their little town.
This is a fast-paced story, with lots of action, suspense, drama, a few twists and turns, along with some passion that will make it hard to put this story down. Great characters and I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series.

How can you NOT live this book??!? This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Chloe is driving along when she gets lost and drives into a ditch. While trying to get herself unstuck, she spots some men turning into wolves. She panics and manages to drive off only to run into Steve.
Steve is a shifter too but he never shifts in the book. Anyway he take Chloe to get medical attention and she ends up having amnesia. Not a good day for Chloe. Steve realizes that she’s his mate and wants to keep her safe.
Knowing that the shifters she saw will be looking for her, he takes to his isolated cabin. He does his best to protect her. They both develop feelings for each other but Chloe has no idea if she’s already in a relationship or not!
This book was so great! The right amount of suspense, mystery, family entanglements, and romance! This author does a brilliant job of telling this story!.

I wouldn't have known this was a shifter story if it hadn't been for the title, we never experience Steve shifting, or what he looks like as a wolf, I love it when an author describes the wolf and the human's reaction to it. But that didn't stop me from enjoying the story of how he and Chloe met.
Chloe’s part apache, her grandmother used to tell her about some caves that had stories of wolf men painted on their walls. One day she decided to go and find the caves and see these old writings/drawing for herself.
But after seeing something she shouldn't she's involved in an accident when Steve's truck ran into her car causing her to lose her memory. Steve takes her home and over time they fell in love. The caves she was searching for are on Steve’s land and together they go and see them.

Chloe is a human woman who is driving at night in rural Texas. She witnesses men becoming animals and then attacking livestock. Fearfully driving away from the scene, she has an accident with Steve’s vehicle. Steve brings Chloe to the town’s doctor for care and notifies the Sheriff about the incident. Chloe wakes with amnesia. Steve agrees to hide Chloe at his small cabin while the Sheriff and others investigate. (At the same time, Steve is resisting his family’s demands to get him to transfer his property to them.) Steve and Chloe are immediately drawn together. There’s plenty of romance and heat as the story unfolds and they get to their HEA. I look forward to reading more about the shifters in Pleasant Valley. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Steve’s driving the long way home after yet another argument with his family over his choices and their lopsided rules he has no intention of following when he hits a female. Puzzled why a human would be in their shifter only town and wondering about her babbled story, Steve rushes her in for treatment and calls in the sheriff.
The woman tells them she was escaping cow killing shifters and says she’s Chloe but not much else, since she has amnesia. Her story turns out to be true and the sheriff admits other cow issues and suspicions about the Cattlemen’s association. Steve agrees Chloe to protect from the culprits until they find answers before he thinks it through. Okay, uncle! This reader is done with this author that doesn’t suit my taste and definitely this series.

This is the second book in the Shifter Wolves of Pleasant Valley series. You can read this book as a standalone but it is connected to the previous book and there is a secondary story are that continues into this book. I loved Steve and Chloe's story. It's fast paced and steamy. Chloe something she shouldn't have, men turning into wolves and killing cows. In her hurry to escape the men Steve hits her vehicle. He's been given the task of keeping an eye on Chloe while she heals and hopefully regains her memory. They start to fall for each other but Chloe is a human and is suppose to be off limits plus what will happen when she finds out his secret.

This is the second book in this series and I think I enjoyed it more than I did the first one! The pace of the book is quick, especially with the relationship progression. I will still chalk that up to the shifter magic and hormones. I laughed at some of things Chloe says to Steve. I really enjoyed how protective Steve is of Chloe, and how supportive he is. This relationship feels very fated with Chloe's family history and who Steve is.

Chloe was driving away from danger with her lights off when Steve collides with her.
Chloe makes a wrong turn trying to fine her position on the GPS and ends in a ditch. Two cars rush past her men get out and change into wolves then start attacking the cattle in the field. She starts the cars manages to back out of the ditch and drives off as fast as she can then she realizes that her headlights are off but before she can turn them on someting hits her from the side. When a car without lights appears in his headlight wolf shifter Steve has no chance to stop in time. He takes the unconcous driver to hospital going in the back as she had been mumbling about men and wolves..

Chloe makes a wrong turn trying to fine her position on the GPS and ends in a ditch. Two cars rush past her men get out and change into wolves then start attacking the cattle in the field. She starts the cars manages to back out of the ditch and drives off as fast as she can then she realizes that her headlights are off but before she can turn them on someting hits her from the side. When a car without lights appears in his headlight wolf shifter Steve has no chance to stop in time. He takes the unconcous driver to hospital going in the back as she had been mumbling about men and wolves..

This book is awesome! It’s the second of the series and we head back to Pleasant Valley for Steve and Chloe’s story. He’s a wolf shifter and she is a human headed through town. An incident in the dark will put her directly in his path. An accident will leave her unsure of who she is and what she saw. She will be put in Steve’s care and it isn’t long until the chemistry starts to build between them. His family will once again cause trouble not only for him but for Chloe as well. There will be danger but in the end, Steve and Chloe will emerge safely on the other side to begin their journey to their happily ever after.

Chloe is traveling and gets lost. She ends up seeing something she shouldn't have and tries to drive away. She has a wreck with Steve. Steve takes her to a local doctor when she passes out and they have her car towed. They want to keep her safe from what she had witnessed so when she wakes and doesn't remember anything they decide to have her stay with Steve until she got her memory back. Sparks fly between her and Steve and its not long before things start coming back to her. Will they be able to keep her safe? Will she stay with Steve?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. This is a book any book lover would enjoy.

A college student working on her masters thesis runs into trouble in a small town in Texas when she wrecks her car. She sees something she is not even sure is not a hallucination from a head bump but she flees the scene. She is so frightened she doesn’t even turn on her headlights and has a second accident. She is hit by Steve the handsome construction company owner who has just left his families dinner. He scoops up when she attempts to flee from the accident and takes to the local hospital. She is ranting about men turning into wolves and killing cattle.
Steve calls the sheriff and begins a investigation into Chloe the mysterious stranger.

Chloe’s apache grandmother used to tell her stories about the wolf men and the caves that had their story wrote down, so she went looking for them. But saw something bad happen then Steve ran his truck into her car, lost her memory and Steve hiding her. They fell in love, didn’t care about his wolf and found the caves of her ancestors on Steve’s land. His family causing him a lot of problems but nothing they couldn’t handle. Another great book by Serena Meadows! Ready for the next book!.

A hot and brilliant shifter romance with a forgetful beggining and an action packed ending .This is a complete story even though it is part of a series so if you havent read any earlier stories it wont impact your enjoyment .Lots of twists and a whole load of exciting adventures go hand in hand with the romance and I cant wait to read the next book ...oh and I really want to know more about this couple and their miss adventures too.

Chloe meets wolf shifter Steve after she loses her memory, as something she witnessed was that bad. Working with others to keep her safe, he is the only one she trusts. The characters are well developed, with great backstories and intense feelings. The storyline has it all from drama to kidnapping, twists and revelations, steam and protection. Totally enjoyed the story and was on edge most of the time, waiting to see what was about to happen next. Still a few questions, but the ending tied it all up nicely.

I just loved this book! I'm partial to fated mates and Wolf Shifters, so if you are like me, you will like this book too. Steve and Chloe meet when poor Chloe is absolutely terrified. Steve, of course, knows immediately who she is too him, but has no idea who she is. I love the part about her Grandmother and how it all connects. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series!

This book kept me up half the night reading it. There was danger at every corner for Chloe and Steve. Steve's family was the worst. Such selflessness was awful and to put Steve and his wife and unborn child at risk was deplorable, but this made good drama and kept me reading to see what will happen next.

Chloe and Steve are delightful characters in this exciting suspense story as she recovers under Steve's protection, from her traumatic amnesia. Surprises occur as she recovers, but there is also romance and danger as well as new friendships and happiness. Really enjoyable series.

Steve is finally at the last straw with his family when they begin telling him he has to sign over his land to their ranch. He is on his way home from a disastrous dinner when he runs into a car driving with no lights on. When Chloe gets out of the car, Steve feels a pull toward her. This story has action, romance, and steam, ending with a cliffhanger. Very highly recommended.

Chloe sure has gotten into a situation not of her making. One night has changed her life forever . I enjoyed the way Steve and Chloe got along, how that there was more story than steamy scenes, how he stood up for what was right instead of bowing under family pressure. Can't wait for the next one.
