I received this ebook ARC, from the author, on the condition that I write an honest review. Jodi Walker is a new-to-me author, but I enjoyed this book. It was well written and had great characters, with a religious belief involved. Lincoln is a truck driver, but has had a sadness in his life. He meets Cassidy at the truck stop diner, where she works. There is an immediate attraction between them. He also meets Cassidy’s son, Riley, and learns about the situation occurring at his family’s ranch. He realizes that God has given him his calling, to save the ranch, and therefore saving the family. Cassidy has two boys and one little girl, she is trying her hardest to hold on to her family ranch, but her finances are just too big. It takes her and the children, a good while, to accept Lincoln’s help. Meantime, her ex-husband is trying to cause trouble, but with Lincoln’s help, and connections, the devious plot is halted. As the family celebrates a traditional Thanksgiving, they are all happy, and Lincoln plans to stay living there, on the ranch. The book actually does not end in an HEA, but instead ends in an HFN, with the following books continuing their story.
When life throws you a curveball you do what you have to. Single mom Cassidy is struggling to keep her family ranch going and raise her 3 children. With an ex who is bent on causing her pain and take the ranch from her she needs to count on her faith and hard work to change her future for herself and her children. Working in her 2nd job as a waitress at the truck stop she meets Lincoln who is fresh off the loss of his son and just finding his way in life. I thought this was a heartfelt romance that tugs at the heart strings and nothing short of inspirational! Love, Faith and Trust are important to have.
This is a beautifully written story that is full of emotions. The author brings the story to life with her words and makes you feel like you are there. It has wonderful characters and will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I loved it and look forward to the next book in this series. I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Cassidy Clark has a lot to lose, and a lot on her shoulders. Her sons are having issues with everything and want to help and protect, and her daughter reminds her to keep going, just by looking at her precious face. They need a miracle and pray that God sends them one soon. This is my first read by this author. Amazing is all I can say. Beautiful and heartfelt. Give it a read!
Great story. Cassidy has reached rock bottom, but still has faith in God to help her. Lincoln has been wandering without direction since his son’s death. God brings them together to help heal this family. Wonderful writing with very real characters that you can relate to. I really enjoyed reading this. I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
A sweet read about a single mom in Texas. Loved how Jodi was able to put Cassidy and Lincoln's thoughts in the narrative so the reader is in tune with them. Like the way it ended and makes me want to read the next book!
This is the first time I have read this author but I will check her out and see what else is available. Strong subject matter, well thought out. I read it in one sitting.
Jodi Walker has kicked off this new series with a bang. Although a new author she manages to bring us well-developed characters, an interesting storyline, humor, romance and conflict, twists and turns. I look forward to the rest of the series.
Heartwarming, clean storyline and strong characters. Cassidy is a single mom who owns and runs a failing ranch. She works part time in the diner, but isn’t a good waitress. One Friday night she is fired. She prays for a miracle so she and her kids don’t lose the ranch. In walks Lincoln, a truck driver who notices Cassidy and then meets her oldest son, Riley. Is Lincoln the miracle they have been praying for? Can he help them save their ranch? *I received this book for free for my unbiased review.
This is a book about facing the worst things in life but believing in God and his love to save you. The mother of three is in danger of losing her ranch when God answers her pray for a miracle. The miracle needs a reason to live and love again after losing all he cares about. He has money and hears God telling him to take the gift of family and love.
I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy clean Christian romance. I loved this book about Cassidy and her three children who are struggling to save their ranch four years after Cassidy divorced her husband for physically abusing her. She and her oldest son, Riley, ask God for a miracle. God brings Lincoln into their lives. He has been searching for happiness after losing his wife and his two-year old son. When he stops at a diner where Cassidy is a waitress, it is love at first sight for Lincoln when he sees her. He finds out later about her struggles to save her ranch, the Lone Star Ranch, and offers her a loan and free labor to restore her ranch. The characters are likeable. This book held my attention and I can't wait to read about how things progress. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.
