Well this was a DNF for sure!! I so much wanted to like this book. The characters seemed promising but then the language got really bad. And s*xual/explicit content was referred to and it was a nope. Nope. Nope run away.
I can't decide between 3 or 4 stars for this one. The big twist sucked so bad and made me so angry that I really want to hate this book. Also the ending wasn't great so for now I will not be reading the sequel. It's definitely an emotional read and I did not expect that.
So I changed it to 1 stars because I've read the continuation of their "love" story in their son Vale's book and Logan is terrible and she ends up with his gamma Hector from the first book. At this point the author should have just killed Logan or Auri and started over. The story is so ridiculous and the author is just adding things to keep the story going without a real plot.

Ok. Pardon me but I’m going off tangent first. So here’s the thing. Read this on the GoodNovel app and may I just say, I hope that the authors received a big compensation from them as much as they charge the readers for every locked chapter (I spent about $50!!) and I wasn’t even that deeply satisfied T.T I want to complain more but I’ll stop here for now about this app.
Moving on to my main review, I WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH HOW IT ENDED. F*ck. I’m a big fan of HEAs and the ending, though wasn’t that bad, didn’t really end well for me. But I’m getting ahead of myself again. Let’s start at the beginning first.
The start of the story was great. Legit. I read a bit from FB and got to installing the app and doing tasks to earn free coins and then when that was not enough, I actually PURCHASED coins which I never do but I did for this story. I was THAT hooked.
I mean, what’s not to like? You got a kick-ass FL (I’m a sucker for FLs who are heroes of their own) and a hot possessive ML (Yum!). Aside from the insta-love, which is usual in werewolves shifter stories ‘cause of fates mate and all, the banter between Auri and Logan, the easy cadence between them and Bryan and Hector, and the smexiness of hundred-year old vampires, pretty much all is set for a great time.
I expected there to be drama. Of course every story would have them. Thrown in also a bit of angst cause everyone needs a tearjerker once in a while. But damn. I was sad and frustrated the whole time. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the soul-wrenching hurt they experienced. I loved their character development. I loved how the story portrayed not just happy stuff but also hardships. But I can’t take that until the very end they had to experience it. Particularly Auri!! For a second, as I was writing this I thought if the author had a vendetta against her :(
Anyway, I don’t really want to go into much specifics but I thought that the epilogues would finally be flowers and rainbows for our couple. But they weren’t. My hopes were dashed and I’m sad and I’m just not happy at all. I even got to read the first chapter of the sequel but I hate that Logan was frustrating even in that story. Understandable but he was already not doing well in my books since this first story. I won’t go so far as to say that he’s the worst cause I felt that he redeemed himself even for a bit but nah. The first chap of the sequel dashed all that. I’m excited for Vale but I’m not sure if I have the guts to continue it. :(
And last but not the least, the one thing I couldn’t take was how Cato and Kai didn’t get together at the end. Until now, I’m stil crying over the loss of Kai T.T

I started reading this book a few days ago and it has been promising. It’s dark but, I get it, I anticipated it given Auri’s past. I’m bothered, though, about how long it will stay in this downward spiral. How much longer will my chest hurt? Is their any hope of HEA?
I’m hesitant to read the spoilerific reviews in case it discourages me from continuing. Here’s hoping it continues to hold my attention. Fingers crossed!
Loved the first half of this book, kickass Luna and blind too with an aweful childhood she overcame to be so strong but the story changed so drastically it was completely ruined by changing the course of her life to nothing but pain, weakness and misery.

It starts out with the beautiful love story and then Fs is ALL up with Auri getting kidnapped and just GRRR! Then I skip to the sequel and she's now pregnant with twins from the Gamma? GRRR! Done!
