Patrick se ha sentido inútil desde que se entero por lo que paso su hermano Henry cuando era pequeño, y como su tía Charlotte y su primo Charles, lo mantuvieron aterrado durante tantos años. Por eso decidió pedirle a su guardaespaldas que le enseñara a pelear, y desde hace mas de 6 meses ha estado entrenando, pero ahora le cuesta mucho concentrarse por la atracción que siente por el hombre. Pero será capaz de aguantar la atracción que siente? Su guardaespaldas se sentirá igual? Habrá futuro en una relación así?
Mientras tanto, deben estar atentos a cualquier atentado que ocurra hacia alguno de ellos, porque por mas que ahora tengan una idea de sus objetivos, todavía no saben como o quien los llevara a cabo, y quizás su situación romántica sea lo menos en lo que se deba preocupar.
Este es, hasta ahora, el libro con mas escenas de acción que romance. Esta lleno de intrigas, emboscadas, planificación y sobre todo apoyo entre la familia real. Conocemos como se maneja el grupo de guardaespaldas y aprendemos un poco mas de cada uno de ellos. También, nos da un vistazo de como se sientes los otros personajes de libros anteriores y como contribuyen a apoyarse entre si.
En fin, en un libro que te emociona y te da ganas de seguir leyendo, te lleva casi hasta el punto final de la trama con el "malvado", y además, te incita a saber como van a terminar emparejados el resto de los personajes, y como van a lograr detenerlos por fin.

Trained Royal is the 5th book in the Club Royal serie by Elouise East. This book is about Kieren and Patrick. Kieren has been Patricks Bodyguard for years when Patrick asks him to train him.
I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written. I love the continuing story and I really recommend this series.

Much more danger while another prince finds love
This series is just getting better. There is a continuing story arc that threads throughout the series so they would be best read in order. With each book, another cousin finds love and happiness as the plot against the good members of the royal family ramps up.
Patrick has appeared in the other books but we don't get to know him properly until now. He is desperate to help his family but his musical talent is all that he has, so he asks his bodyguard to train him to fight.
Kieren only has his work to keep him grounded, his life focused on keeping his charges safe. His history has caused him to close himself off to relationships and love but when he has to train Patrick, things suddenly become less black and white for him.
Watching Kieren finding himself falling for Patrick, then realising his feelings are returned, was very rewarding. They deserved to find peace and happiness and love, and watching them grow closer, both at home and at Club Royal, was just what I needed. The easy way that the cousins and partners accepted him into the fold, and Patrick's parents' immediate acceptance too, is just one of the reasons I love this series. I also loved the interactions between Andrew and Kieren, how Andrew immediately accepted his relationship with Patrick but also respected his expertise as a bodyguard and a member of the security team.
The interactions between them all continue to delight, especially the love and support the six cousins give each other unconditionally.
The action ramps up even more, with much concern for the safety and security of the good royal family, and Elouise keeps us on the edge of our seats as the machinations of the bad apple royals continue apace. I am desperate for Awakened Royal now.

This is another great book in the Club Royal series, which is a mash-up of an alternative world of British royalty, danger, intrigue, a BDSM club, and forever love. In this book, Prince Patrick is feeling disconnected and untethered by all of the attempts on his family's life and the ongoing threats. He's not happy with his chosen profession, but he does get a lot of satisfaction from his music. His bodyguard, Kieran, has been with him several years and has been also enlisted privately to teach Patrick self-defense tactics, so Patrick can contribute to his family's safety, if needed. Kieran also has a sadness about him, as he lost his parents and sister to a plane crash earlier in his life. It caused Kieran to give up his university art degree to pursue security work, so no one should ever feel endangered while on his watch.
As time goes by, Patrick and Kieran feel a strong attraction toward each other, but will either one be able to make the move to let the other know how they feel? This book does a spectacular job of weaving in updates on the lives of previous MCs in the series without it seeming awkward. The book is well-edited, the story flows well, there is just the right amount of passion between the men, the family/friend group is warm and supportive, and the love between Kieran and Patrick is beautiful. While this book stands alone, it's much better to read the series in order to gain continuity in the larger story of the ongoing threat to the family, a mystery which arcs through the books.
As time goes by, Patrick and Kieran feel a strong attraction toward each other, but will either one be able to make the move to let the other know how they feel? I loved this story with the tortured Patrick and Kieren who wanted each other but knew that they could do nothing about it until they reached the point of no return. I just loved their passion and the way that they each had their own artistic outlet but that their real outlet was their devotion to each other and the way that they would do anything to protect each other. I loved that they made great progress with the plot against the central family due to their sexual preferences and it was a delight to see that Kieren really came into his own with his insights and hunches. Contains mature content in this MM book.

This is the 5th book in the “Club Royal” series and I consider it somewhat a thriller type of story because of some intense action going on. If you have read the first 4 books, you’ll understand what I mean. If not, please read them! They’re soooo good! It was an intense read for me and I consider this one of the best stories in the series. I’ve enjoyed going on this journey with the Royal Family! Only if they’d make a TV/Movie series out of this story!!!! More than 5 stars for me!

However, his employment is with the finance department of the Royal Family and it was obvious that he did not enjoy it because of the boring routine he has to endure everyday. Because of the attack against the Royal Family by other Royal Family, he has a bodyguard named Kieren who would train him to protect himself. He had sought training by Kieren. In the meantime, the Royal Family have noticed the intense vibes between Patrick and Kieren but not themselves. That’s where I’m going to stop right there and encourage you to pick up the book to read to find out what the intense actions were and whether Patrick & Kieren would finally figure out they were attracted to each other!

Elouise East always seems to balance the ongoing intrigue with individual character development to give us a complete story within the Club Royal world and she does it again with Patrick and Kieren. This is another power imbalance story with Kieren working for the royal family, both protecting Patrick and teaching him to defend himself...
For me, the love story in this book was the highlight and it was lovely to see Patrick get his HEA, but I struggled with the ongoing plot and the whole group encounters. I found that some of the interplay and commentary from other couples took me out of Kieren and Patrick's story.
I am looking forward to the final book in the series, with the last Royal getting his HEA and hopefully having the whys of the intrigue solved as well... I'm truly hoping for an interesting plot twist or two...

Patrick decision to make Kieran train him to protect his family is his last hope with everything going on. As much as Kieran is reluctant to be will support Patrick any way he can.
The training goes well but the chemistry between them becomes explosive.

With perceived threats to the Royal family, Patrick asks the one man whom he trusts to train him against these threats, his bodyguard, Kieren.
The more training they do, the more the chemistry sizzles between them and their training quickly shifts to many different levels.
A story that adds well to the series and is best read in order. This is an engaging tale with well developed characters and passionate kinky encounters. Definitely a recommended read.

I loved Patrick for the way he decided to step up and take matters into his own hands in terms of self defense and protecting his family. Kieren is the perfect man for the job, but the training taps into unexpected emotional depths for both of them. This series continues find fresh approaches to exploring the dangers and restrictions as well as some perks that come with being a royal. Not unlike some of the things we see in the real world today.

Easy to read page-turner that is the fifth book in an ongoing series, I feel that it's best to read in series order for maximum enjoyment and full understanding due to the stories following on from each other. I thoroughly enjoyed reading their story, which is full of heat, angst and twists and turns throughout. Guaranteed HEA.

Good series to read but feel it starting to be dragged out.
These two weren't unexpected in their attraction towards each other. The little thing with the hierarchy was probably the main sticking point. Once they got past that it was pretty easy to open up to each other. The BDSM part was a little to scripted for me. No real talk and contracts were discussed. Considering Kieren didn't know anything about the life style. They we're A cute coup!e though.

Loved, loved, loved this story! The series gets better with every instalment and I must say Patrick and Kieren are one of my favorite couples so far!
There's a lot of emotions and exploration in this book, with brilliant insigh into the family as a whole. I like how the overall story arc is developing too.

Kieren and Patrick work so well together. Both relatively quiet in this group of characters this was a good filler and building book of what’s to come.

A beautiful and wonderful story. I loved that Patrick and Kieren had such a deep sense of trust in one another that clearly came through from the words on the page.
