She's put her life on hold for her daughter. He's a widower who lost his only soulmate. Could a chance encounter stage true love’s encore?

Ginny Blaine is desperate to be a good mom. On the run from her late husband’s coercive family, she barely skirts above the poverty line trying to provide for her daughter. So when she scores tickets to see the boyband her twelve-year-old is obsessed with, she never expected an encounter with one of the artists’ dads to send her heart aflutter.

Hank Corbitt thought love was a lost cause. And as much as he enjoys traveling with his son on tour, he fears a rare connection with a kindred spirit like the struggling single mother in the audience might never come again. So before the show is over, he sends the girls backstage passes in the hope of a once-in-a-lifetime shot at a new beginning.

As nightly phone calls from the road carry them from introductions to intimate, Ginny regrets her inability to accept the father-of-a-superstar’s offer to take care of them. And when Hank’s invitation sparks hurtful rumors and he discovers the true reason the gorgeous woman is running away, he’ll have to decide if the bond they built is real…

Do their hearts have what it takes for a passionate encore?

Unexpected Encore is a romantic prequel to The Corbitt Calamities chick-lit series. If you like charming characters, authentic affections, and casual preludes, then you’ll adore Sara LaFontain’s sweet story.

Ginny and Hank meet by chance at a concert and fall hard. Each are raising a child ... Cassidy is Dinny's daughter and Powell is Hank's teenage heart throb. The author does a beautiful job bringing them together and bonding quickly. She brings a bit of drama and anxiety along with an emotional and romantic love. It's well written with perfectly painted scenes, flows fluidly and is an enjoyable second chance at love romance.

I downloaded this book planning to start it in the next few days, but ended up peeking at the first page...then the second...I was hooked and couldn't stop! Lafontain's voice is wonderfully addictive, and the characters are really well drawn. An engaging read with all the feels and a fresh take on the 90's boy band craze made this one extra enjoyable for me. Can't wait to read the rest in the series!

Ginny and Hank are single parents because they lost their significant others Ginny takes her daughter to a rock concert and that’s where she meets Hank who’s son is a rockstar, they fall for each other but can they survive a long distance relationship?. This is an emotional story full of angst for Ginny because she’s living from day to day, I enjoyed this story and I recommend this book.

Ginny and Hank are two single parents who have survived the devastating losses of their first spouses to illness and accidents.

A chance meeting develops into a long distance connection.

Can they withstand the realities of adults with growing children in a ling distance relationship- especially since Hank is a band dad, on the road with his teen son and his band?

In addition to the weights of individual histories, her strained credit history, and complicated family histories, his son Powell is a teen rockstar - issues of fame, security, and spending are also in play.

Is there a chance for romance snd family? or just more heartbreak, school troubles and bad pr?

Family romance and bittersweet connections.

Ginny and Hank are both single parents to teenagers after losing their significant other 6 years prior and come from different worlds, Ginny is barley scraping by drowning in debt and running from her past while Hank is flush with cash and traveling with his son Powell's band. I really liked how it captured life back when cellphones were new and only the rich had them, along with how you are pulled into the struggles Ginny has letting someone into her heart again while trying to protect Cassidy. You also get plenty of laughs and awkward moment and I enjoyed the vulnerability Hank shows too while I highly recommend you get the tissues ready for the part about the letters. I can't wait to read the next book and see where things are at not only for Ginny and Hank but also Cassidy and Powell.

Two single parents each raising teenagers. Ginny is living day by day trying to make ends meet while Hank has a worry free life while traveling with his son's band. Can they make a long distance relationship work while dealing with blending 2 different families with different circumstances and find romance to have a HEA?.

This is the second book I've read written by Sara LaFontain; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the prequel for the Corbitt Calamities Series. The story is about Ginny & Hank; she puts her daughter before everything in her life; he’s a widow and is traveling with his son.
