You would think being the co-creator of the largest “adult” podcast in the country, I’d be more excited about my upcoming high school reunion. Instead, I’m terrified of seeing the girls who used to bully me for being the shy, innocent nerd. Then, I meet Hayden Harden, top creator for the rapidly-growing adult subscription site JustFans. When Hayden suggests that we pretend to be dating and insists on escorting me to the reunion so I can rub it in my former bully’s face, I think “What the h*ll?” But what happens when fake feelings turn into real ones? Can Hayden and I ever be a real couple, or does he only see this as content to help boost his ratings?
From the moment I read the synopsis for Hayden, I knew this would would be unlike anything I've read before, and I was completely right. I can say with certainty that I loved it! I ended up staying up until late hours of the night just so I could finish it.
Anabelle Beckwith, the co-creator of S€x-venture, an "adult" podcast, is tasked with the assignment of finding a JustFans creator, the popular platform where s€x workers can create content, to an interview. When 49 creators on her list decline the offer, her hopes are crushed until she receives an email from Hayden Harden. Hayden is the successful and confident top content creator of JustFans, who has decided to accept her offer.
The attraction, chemistry, and friendship between the two is immediate, even if the first time they spoke was through a phone, more so after they finally meet in person. Finding out Belle's secret and her past involving bullying helped me understand her lack of self-confidence, fear of being judged, and for her to seem more relatable & real at times.
Hayden is unlike any other MMC I've read before. His self-confidence was refreshing, he knew exactly what/who he wanted from the start and went for it, but the moments where he doubted himself really gave his character more depth. Even when Belle crushed his hope repeatedly of them being more than friends during their fake-dating, he was always determined to prove to her that what they had wasn't fake at all. I loved how he always lightly pushed Belle outside of her confort zone, but made sure to back off when Belle asked.
I can honestly say this has become a new favorite. I loved how positive this book was on the topic of NSFW content and its creators. I can tell Nickole really made sure to do her research while writing the book. That epilogue has me excited for Wes and Soph's book!
I loved this story! Like I couldn’t read it fast enough and was up until seriously late hours reading it!
Hayden’s profession sparked soooo many questions for me, especially with how his relationship with Belles would work and all play out. The perfect amount of insight into the realities of his profession and success gave so much more depth to their story. And I loved the genuine connection and the way their insecurities and emotions were portrayed.
Absolutely loved Hayden and Belle + their close friends. Their fun dialogues had me laughing out. The sexy slow burn tension that lead into some HOT AF scenes as well as the angst and drama made this story a seriously amazing read.
Nickole Bryan is fast becoming one of my fav authors and I cannot wait for her next book ❤️
This was such a fun read. Belles’ past was riddled with bullies, she has mostly moved past it, but she still needs that last push to fully shed her old insecurities. As a co-creator for an adult pod cast, she has been looking to find a content creator to come on the show. Ever since she started looking into Hayden she has had a bit of a crush on him.
Hayden is used to being objectified as part of creating his content for an adult subscription service, but after one conversation with Belles he starts to look at things differently.
I really enjoyed both of these characters and the whole story.
