DK's best-selling Fun Flaps series introduces babies and toddlers to key words and concepts with durable lift-the-flap board books that are the perfect size for little hands to hold.
All About Me! takes babies on a tour of their own incredible bodies-encouraging imitative play by showing babies making faces and performing simple actions.
Free book from the library! So glad to find a good basic starter book about body parts. Nitpicky but a huge missed design opportunity on the eyes page - it's "eyes open" and the fold out has "eyes closed" but it could've reversed those to match the action of "opening" the fold out with the eyes opened picture. ALAS.
This is a board book, perfect for those little hands and little gummy gums and teeth. Short and sweet. It survived my 1st baby and now reading it to my 2nd baby. I remember at one point my eldest would copy the action initially and then showed me that she could remember by anticipating what the next action is. As an adult reading this I like that there is diversity in the ethnicities.
Another book I want to dislike for it's narcissism instilling-I mean, it's right in the title-but my son loves. Babies like books with babies in them, just more proof that each generation is more "me" than the last...;)
Alex was all smiles with this book! He loved the pictures of real babies and I enjoyed pointing out the baby body parts to him! A lift the flap book. board book.
Kido was really into this for a while and even learned some body parts from it. This was also the first book he'd consistently mimic (waving and raising hands).
