The rising queen was dead and who better to assume the throne than her identical twin?
Jayden Yearwood was a force of nature not by choice, but by necessity. Her father’s iron fist often dripped with blood when she was involved, but if it meant protecting her sister from a similar fate, that was enough.
Her plan was simple. Survive until Alex became the next queen, and then she could finally flee her father’s wretched, poisonous claws once and for all…but the Goddess rarely catered to the desires of mortals.
Months before her twin’s coronation, someone had Alexius killed, rousing a sleeping beast deep within Jayden’s chest—an ascended alpha was bred by the strength of the soul, imbuing their master with potential beyond their wildest dreams. For Jayden, it’d come seconds too late, and every time she looked at the triplets all she saw was her sister’s bloodied face.
Scarred and broken, Jayden prowls the dark streets of Khul in search of those who stole everything from her. Along the way, sinister truths are uncovered, leaving the princess fearful of the looming plot against not only her family but the whole of Ellion.
Proving destiny to be bigger than one death, one love, or one life.
Kaylin Peyerk is a lover of badass fantasy heroines and the sexy men who feel lucky to love them. She has five full bookshelves, a bursting Kindle library, and a total love for the written word. When she's not crouched over the computer like a gremlin, you can find her curled up in a nest of blankets with a well-loved book, her two corgis Link & Gannon, and a steaming cup of hot cocoa...
A fact Jayden Yearwood has kept hidden since the night of her sister's death. The power had come seconds too late to save her beloved twin—seconds too late to save her. For the moment Alexius rasped her final breath, her fate was sealed. If her sister could not become the next queen, the three princes demand Jayden take her place.
Because she’s also an omega, and omegas are meant for breeding true alphas, not becoming them.
However, in the days that follow, Jayden can’t let the final words of her sister’s murderer go.
The princes will thank me for this.
Someone from the castle had her sister killed, and it will not go unpunished. In the shadows each night, Jayden slinks through Ellion with her new alpha power, looking for the person responsible for her sister’s murder. Yet, the more she uncovers, the more tangled the web becomes.
WOW!!! It's rare for me to find pleasure in a Slow Burn Reverse Harem but "Wolf Rejected" literally had my attention from the very beginning. Jayden is a True Alpha, but she is also an Omega who is struggling to move on with her life after the murder of her twin sister. During her sister's funeral the 3 princes of Ellion requested that she take her sister's place as their wife and future Queen. Jayden never wanted to me an Omega and she definitely never wanted to be a Queen, but she accepts the proposal of the princes as her duty to her country. Jayden was ready to deal with the drama and judgment that is usually associated when dealing with Royals. Afterall; she was a noble and her family only lived among the Royals due to her sister's engagement to the 3 princes. An engagement that really only served one purpose; and that was for her sister to breed the next generation of Supreme Alpha Heirs. During the time of her sister's engagement to the 3 princes, Jayden never once saw them interacting with her sister or getting to know the family. The princes just continued with their lives dealing with the affairs of their country.
The three princes of Ellion Kian, Ryn, and Felix are triplets and the future heirs to the throne. Too Jayden's surprise these Supreme Alphas were not the Entitled, Privileged, Alphas she assumed they were. Although a little out of touch with what happens on outside of the castle the princes were actually smart, caring, sensitive, funny, complex and had depth. They never ceased to amaze Jayden the more time she spent getting to know them. On more than one occasion Jayden noticed that the brothers took a keen interest in her as well as her likes and dislikes. The princes to her surprise were actually spending time getting to know her. Something she never witnessed them doing with her sister.
Jayden is determined to find the person responsible for her twin's death but she never in a million years thought that the one behind the heinous act was so close to home. When the unthinkable happens Jayden must call on her inner Alpha to help her save those she holds near and dear to her heart. During her slow recovery she wakes in the hospital to a startling revelation. Not only are her princes now kings but she is now the queen of Ellion.
"Wolf Rejected" is an Omegaverse Murder Mystery story of Political intrigue, Grief, Heartache and budding Romance. The story begins with the author tugging on your heartstrings and ends with a gut-wrenching revelation a major Cliffhanger making the reader anxious for more.
I received an Advance Reader Copy for an honest review.
Wolf Rejected was mind-blowingly good, utterly fantastic. A unique omegaverse with supreme alphas and dominant omegas, filled with fancy balls, political intrigue, handsome princes, and one strong female omega.
Jayden is the mfc, born a dominant omega but gained another designation, dual designations, Jay gained a true alpha personality. She's still an omega most of the time but she does have an alpha that comes out. Omega in the sheets and alpha in the streets is the best way to describe her duality. However, that's not all Jay is, she's strong, independent, and a loner who refuses to conform to her omega designation. She's smart and questions everything, and is more real than those around her. I really like her and her stubborn determination to find her twin sister's killer.
The leading males of this slow-burn rh are the princes of Ellion. Kain, Ryn, and Felix are triplets and the heirs to the crown. The guys really surprised me, they aren't the privileged controlling alphas they could have been, the guys are a little sheltered, kind, caring, have depth, and is more complex than I could have hoped for. The guys won me over fairly quickly and I've been hooked since, how could I not with that alpha swag they got and I'm not the only one susceptible to their charms, Jayden and the princes get closer as the story goes.
As for the story, all I can say is wow. It starts off with a funeral and has a loner omega playing spy while princes are courting her. It triggers all kinds of emotions because Jay is pretty much the replacement for her twin, Alex, at least it seemed that way but turned into more. Following Jay, as she tries to piece things together and the discoveries that she makes, makes for a great story. The history of this world politics was interesting as well as the inner workings of this society. However, it was Jay finding her footing, her uniqueness, and her bonding with the alphas that mostly flowed throughout the story.
charactersWolf Rejected may have been my first book my Kaylin Peyerk but it sure won't be my last. Peyerk has done an amazing job with the first book in the Her Ferocious Mates, with characters that I couldn't help but care about, a unique view of an omegaverse but most importantly of all she has created an intriguing murder mystery that has just the beginning twinges of a great romance. The end of Wolf Rejected was beyond anything I could have ever thought of, talking about shock value. I can't wait for the next book.
Still mourning her sister's death, Jayden finds herself to be the replacement for her sister as the bride of the three princes, all triplets and heirs to the crown. Despite being vehemently against this, her wishes fall on deaf ears when her parents agree to the arrangement regardless. What starts as a hope for revenge for her sister's murder becomes muddied and complicated as she cannot help but feel for the princes she is bound to.
Stereotypical alpha/omega books might have you believe that all the males are cruel tyrants, but Kain, Ryn and Felix, the triplets, blow this notion away. They are kind and caring, and a bit sheltered from the world. What started with me completely against them quickly warmed up to rooting for Jay to give in already.
The politics and court intrigue in Wolf Rejected is wonderful and of course I can't help but swoon over a ball in a fantasy book. As much as I love good world building and society, it's the bonding and character growth of Jay and the triplets that really kept me captivated and wanting more. And how can you forget the slooow slow burn of the romance behind this RH.
The build up, revelations, and consequent cliffhanger have me excited for book 2. Wolf Rejected is available today (06/30/2022)!
Thank you to Kaylin Peyerk for the ARC copy. I loved being able to support a local author that I have loved after meeting at DD in Michigan!
Wow! I absolutely loved this book. It’s captivating in its simplicity - honest, lovely, cruel. Honest as to the internal battles Jayden fights, lovely as to the burgeoning friendships and perhaps more with her Princes, cruel as to the ugly upbringing and present family dynamics she finds herself in. The very vivid writing this author does, had me in his clutches and didn’t let me go til the last word. And then only because I needed an handkerchief…. So, if you like being sucked right in a story, helpless in the misery of the characters…and love to read about Wolves in the skin of sheep… go ahead ! And enjoy your read! I certainly did !
This is the first time I'm reading from author Kaylin Peyerk. I must say that I was blown away by her writing. From the very beginning you are pulled into their world. Jayden is an dominant omega who's trying to find out who killed her twin sister. During her search she becomes betrothed to the three princes. Along the way she discovers that she is a true alpha and her feelings for the three princes. At the end which leaves us with a cliffhanger, you do find out who murdered her sister. Believe me you won't believe it either. I can't wait for the next book.
I really enjoyed this book. This is my 1st book by Kaylin. I will be checking out more of her work. Jayden’s twin sister was killed. Jayden wants to find the person responsible and get her revenge. Her sister was the bride to be to the three alpha heirs. Now that responsibility falls on Jayden. While getting to know the guys she is also looking for her sisters killer. Will Jayden find her sisters killer? Read the book to find out.
What an amazing story! This is RH, but there is no spice yet in this series! I honestly feel so sorry for the main female character, she lost her twin sister, and found herself engaged to not one but three princes! All while she is still grieving for her sister, thankfully her days are filled with a lot to learn and a lot to do, with little time to think about anything other than learning! Thank you for the advanced reader copy of this novel I loved it and can’t wait to read more!
Wow!! I absolutely loved this book, I cannot wait to see what happens in the next one. I love Jayden, she is a great female lead. The action in this book was amazing, it keeps you on the edge of your seat and there are so many twists and turns!! I typically read books with multiple POVs, I really enjoy being able to get inside the characters heads. I just had to get used to it, and I really enjoyed it! Can’t wait for the next book!!
First time reading a book by this author! I don’t like giving things away in reviews, but I will say this book was amazing. I loved MOST of the characters… ha! The FMC is a tough, take no bs kind of girl, which I love. The guys are swoon worthy! The ending though !!!!! Can’t wait for the next book to come out! ❤️
This a very unique omegaverse romance that is fantastic read. It is a slow burn RH romance that is filled with intrigue. I was captivated by the story and couldn't get enough. Along with the intrigue, there is mystery, action, revenge, and angst. It also plays with your heartstrings. I was very easy to become invested in Jayden's story and I am beyond excited to see how her story unfold.
This book has you hooked from the first paragraph and doesn't let up until you're done. Parts of the romance feels a bit like YA, but, you know, with RH, murder and intrigue. 😏 This omegaverse is different from others I've read, and I really like this take on it. So, almost annoyingly good read, since it's completely unputdownable - one-click it now! You won't regret it. ❤️
This book was such a fantastic read that I had a really hard time putting it down. It moves along at a pace which makes for a relaxing and enjoyable read. It has characters that you fall in love with and you want to be there for them no matter what happens. This is a book that needs to be read, there is no doubt about it.
Loved it! This was the first book I read from this author and it didn't disappoint. I thought it had an original storyline and kept my attention. I do consider this a slow burn, but I thought it fit perfectly with the storyline. We got mystery, a bit of action and angst. I can't wait to see where book 2 takes us.
OMG I need book 2 ASAP! Seriously, Kaylin has outdone herself. This book has it all - murder, mystery, a quest for revenge, a quest for power, all the feelings… I could not put this book down!
This book was really good! I thought the twist was to be expected, I mean there wasn't anyone else it could have been (no spoilers). But it was cute and I liked the way the brothers treat Jayden. I'm impatiently waiting for the sequel.
This book hooked me from chapter one! This is a delicious omegaverse with enhanced, dominant subsets of alpha and omega designations.
We start the story with a surviving twin becoming betrothed in her sister's place. The story follows her journey to find her sister’s killer and her attempts to resist falling in love with the princes.
I would like to start by saying I received an ARC for an honest review.
No plot spoilers below.
Wolf Rejected is the first book I've read by Kaylin Peyerk as well as the first Omegaverse novel I've read. Ms. Peyerk is definitely on the right track for a good story. I enjoyed the princes, as well as our main character Jayden. I enjoyed the story arc and the mystery. This is definitely a slow burn romance though as there was nothing steamy in this first book.
However, there were a handful of points throughout this work that I personally wasn't a huge fan of.
I felt the world building was quite lacking. As someone who has never read an Omegaverse novel before I had to Google a few things for the story to flow properly. I also felt like we readers were thrown into a world where the timeline, year, full history of the society, as well as how said society functions was not thoroughly explained.
I also wish the author would have chosen to be modern or old fashioned instead of trying to blend them together. Their is a hierarchy with nobles and peasants which gives the book the King Arthur feel; a lot of the dialog from characters is old fashioned as well. However, then all of a sudden a cell phone would ring, or a digital camera would be mentioned, or common jean clothing would be mentioned and it would almost ruin the fantasy of the scene.
My final issue with this author is to keep your political agenda out of your fantasy work. We readers do not need to read your political opinions. If you want to throw current day politics in a book, write a political piece.
Overall, this was a good read. While I didn't absolutely love it, I didn't hate it either. There were a handful of things that I really disliked about it, it lacked in romance, and it had a slow start. However, I would still recommend this book to anyone that enjoys this trope and I will be reading the next novel in this series.
I liked aspects of this story, but I think the author would have done better with this story if things had been narrowed down significantly. As in, not tried for a weirdly political plot and just kept it more normal. And one love interest, not three. Sister gets murdered and it forces her to change? Awesome, let's explore that and keep it on a more relateable and believable level.
One - the whole royal family was strange. Meaning, here the FMC's father worked for the royals, her sister was betrothed for years to the princes (don't get me started on how biologically single, twin, or triplet births depend entirely on the mother not the father but yet all kings are born as triplets and they all mate and rule together), they are a supposedly self-isolated nation which usually means the government is highly focused on near worship of their highest office, and she doesn't know the kings' names or faces? She also has no relationships outside of her family and the underground (kudos that she had siblings, that was cool and fairly well-done, but could have been better) so, once her sister dies, she has zero messages on her phone because somehow none of the people in her life have her number or care to reach out. Her father was a high general, she must have been involved in the upper social sphere her entire life and yet she has no friends currying for her favor, especially after she becomes the new fiancée of the princes? Lots of moments like that occurred in the book.
Also, they have cellphones, but she can break into homes of nobles, military, and government officials, or escape her home and the palace with no problems because they don't have security cameras or other sensors? And she must dress in ballgowns. All of the time. Say what now?
Finally, I think this story would have been leaps and bounds better with only one romantic interest and with a change in series title. "Ferocious Mates"? Oh, please. How about "Intrigued Mates" or "Sheltered Mates" meaning the males were both of those things and had very little to recommend them as love interests. If all of the moments she had with each of them had been combined into moments with one MMC, that would have been a delightful beginning. Maybe if he was an apprentice baker or clerk or something. MAYBE a soldier, but I did NOT get strong manly vibes from them. The author said they had alpha vibes, but she had to tell me over and over because I wasn't feeling it.
I do like that they didn't jump into bed and have sex scenes strewn all over the story. That would definitely have brought this to a one or two star review.
The final scene where all of the princes separate from her during a crisis (conveniently, none of them have security follow them and keep them out of danger) and she then gets further separated and the only escape route for her to rescue the trapped people involves some non-specified, razor-sharp gap that she has enougb space to jump through -WHILE HOLDING OTHER PEOPLE - but not to avoid these non-specified, razor-sharp edges that cut up her arms and legs and cause her hlood to splatter, but she moves 30 some odd people through this opening, gaining new injuries each time but never faints from pain or hlood-loss. Remember she is bleeding so freely that her blood is splattering. Like an anime. Additionally, she couldn't pad the opening with people's fancy garb or table linens and pass people through the opening to safety. And after all of this, she is conveniently forced to go the same direction as the traitors and manages to support her massive brother while they climb several stories of stairs and stay lucid during a confrontation with her father where he also hits her head more than once on the cement roof. All while her trained, biologically alpha brother is incapable of bearing his entire weight due to a single gunshot wound and loses consciousness after one head blow. I'm sorry, but all of this is unbelievable.
There is more, but I think these more than suffice for a review. But, the author did impress me by not leaning on sex scenes and her subtle moments for some of the side characters, think the brothers, were examples of good writing.
Truly, I think this author would have done better without the upper echelons of society elements and not have forced a RH with brother princes. So, three stars and I may read the next book, but usually the first book is the best, so I don't hold much hope for enjoying it.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I am not usually a big fan of slow burn books, because I tend to like it to be at least medium burn. But Kaylin really caught my attention with this book. This book had a unique taste with alphas and omegas filled with paranormal elements. This is one book that I did not put down, hence I stayed up all night reading it lol. Kaylin did amazing with the characters, plot and everything about this book.
The FMC Jayden, is heartbroken and born a dominant omega that lost her twin sister. I really loved her character, because she is strong, independent and someone who has an alpha in her that comes out. Jayden never wanted to be a Queen, and the princes have requested that she take her sister's place. I love how stubborn and determined she is when she puts her mind to it.
The MMC's Kian, Ryn and Felix are triplets and heirs to Ellion. These princes are definitely not what I expected of them. I wasn't sure what to think of them at first, but reading it made me see who kind and caring they are. These guys won me over about 25% into the book. I love the way they grow closer with each and every turn of the page. Jayden was not expecting them to be as kind as they are that's for sure.
Overall, Kaylin did amazing with this book. I am so glad I got the chance to read the book. I would definitely recommend this book to others to read. It was such a good book to read and I am glad I took the chance on it. It definitely did not disappoint.
If you’re wanting a unique look on Omegaverse, look no further than Wolf Rejected. It has dominant omegas, top notch alphas, along with political drama, good looking princes, beautiful balls and so much more.
Our FMC Jayden, she is an omega but has another designation, with dual designations she has alpha and omega personalities. She is mostly an omega but she has moments were her alpha comes out. She is strong, sassy, independent, and isn’t your typical omega. She’s extremely smart, and doesn’t take anything at face value, she wants to know so much, and is stubborn (girl after my own heart). Those qualities will hopefully help her find her twin sister’s killer.
Our MMCs are Kain, Ryn, and Felix whom are triplets and the heirs to the crown. I will be honest these princes are not at all what I pictured them to be. They’re so much more than just their designation, they’re caring, kind, even a little sheltered. They are alphas, and have that wicked charm that seems to slowly win over Jayden.
The story starts off sadly but slowly we find out more about Jayden and the princes as they court her. The world building that the author Kaylin Peyerk does with this book is so amazing. There’s also a bit of political drama, family drama, and Jayden is worried about being just a replacement for her twin.
I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them in book 2!
At the beginning of this book you have Jayden grieving her twin sister Alexius she was murdered but Jayden dosen't know why, but she wants vengeance but as and Omega her destiny is set for her. Jayden wants nothing to do with the tedious protocol of her world taking pictures and enjoying a simple life is all she ever wanted she's strong and independent but she now will be the princesses new bride she will take her dead sisters place Jayden is unprepared for her new life and how she feels for Kain,Ryn and Felix also her secret Alpha power keeps nudging her toward vengeance. This is and interesting and intriguing look at the omegaverse with omegas being able to be more then one thing a society with old world traditions clothing and a monarchy but still modern with its technology but like all powerful societies there is something rotten brewing under all the glitz and glamor there is betrayal of the worst kind, death and new changes coming the romantic aspect is in its beginning stages and the characters and there lives are sure to get more interesting as the story continues and that ending was crazy can't wait for the next book.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Wolf Rejected by Kaylin Peyerk is an excellent book that I highly recommend. The book is a unique take on the omegaverse genre, and the author does a great job of building a compelling world. The story follows the FMC Jayden, who is both an omega and a true alpha. One of the things that I really appreciated about Wolf Rejected was the amount of emotion that the author was able to convey. The FMC struggles with her loss of her sister, and I found myself really rooting for her throughout the book. The character development is excellent, and I enjoyed watching the FMC find her self in a new situation and how she handle the change over the course of the story.
Another aspect of the book that I enjoyed was the slow-burn romance. The author does a great job of building tension between the four main characters, and the eventual resolution of their relationship. The suspenseful moments in the book are also well-crafted, and I found myself on the edge of my seat at several points in the story.
Overall, I think that Wolf Rejected is an absolutely fantastic book. The author's world-building is excellent, the characters are well-drawn, and the emotions and suspense are all expertly handled. If you're a fan of the omegaverse genre or just looking for a great read, I highly recommend this book!
Jayden’s twin sister was murdered~ She will find out who did it and seek vengeance. She will make a list and investigate every single person on it! Her sister had been set to marry the three princes. Now, they showed themselves at the funeral and requested she stand in her stead. Of course, her family accepted, and she did as well. She takes pictures of the town and traipses through it at night visiting those who are considered not of the good ilk. They are her friends and help her keep her heat at bay. When the three princes are getting to know her, they are captivated by her. Her father is being very secretive, and she wonders what he is up to. When she discovers what is hidden in a file from him, listens to secret conversations, and sneaks away one night, along with the princes, the castle comes under attack~ Who are the culprits and why? When these questions are answered, no one will or nothing will be the same~ This is a great new start to an exciting series that will leave you spellbound~ I cannot wait for the next book…I literally could not put this book down until the end…now I NEED more~
I recieved this ARC from the author! And here is my review.
Am not to sure about how i feel. I liked it enough to finish and want to read book 2 BuT as this is an honost review i have to say i was a little bit disapointed overal so many questions so little answers,
the chemistry between Ryn, Felix, Kain and Jayden was nice eventho they openly show affection she is reluctent which i understand but that was it.
My main question is do they shift into wolves at all?
I did how ever like the story Its a bit slow going but once the action starts it doesnt stop.
I adore Jaydens strenght and willpower to go through hell and fight i also love the slowly forming bond between her and the guys i think its sweet, but i cant wait for a little more then kisses and touches hehe
The world building and characters are well build and thought out i like that i do wish it had more then one pov but i am spoilled with that but it would of been nice to get a peek in their heads too. But it didnt matter that much it was one pov!
Im only giving it 4 stars because i liked the store but didnt love it.
Omg there aren't enough words to describe this story. When I began reading, I wasn't sure how it was going to play out. But when I say I was literally invested and captivated in reading this book and finished it within a few hours, it's unbelievable! The heroine was genuinely written as a strong-willed and very vivacious character. I was instantly pulled into her character growth and wanting to see the progression of the storyline around her. Then you meet the princes, and each one has their own set of characteristics that you are drawn to. Although the three are different in personality, they each have a sincere and genuine depth to their characters you can't help but be drawn to. The plot of the book is overwhelmingly amazing and your taken through many twists and turns. It's a great start to an epic series and I'm anxiously awaiting book 2! The author did a fantastic job with not only her writing but the overall character progression and storyline! Definitely a fan of her work from this day forward!!!
This is a slow build book, that while it doesn’t finish on a cliffhanger, it is definitely not finished. It took me a while to get into the story, but I found it became quite addictive around a third of the way through. The cover led me astray a bit - elongated canines and ‘pack like’ structure in the society were about as wolf-like as the characters got - don’t expect shifters or animals in this one! The world building is good and, although there were a couple of editing issues in my copy, the story reads well. The sizzle is pretty mild in this book, but I suspect it will fire up in subsequent books in the series. Although this is a reverse harem, the characters are well balanced, and the moments of ‘helpless submission’ were short and well managed. I am looking forward to the next in this series.
Full disclosure: I was given an ARC of the book, however this review is my own honest opinion.
I am thankful for the author for sending this out but sadly I only rate it about 2.5/5. Firstly, the writing style wasn’t really for me, I struggled to understand why they lived in a modern day town but spoke like they were from the olden times. I got used to reading it however so it didn’t bother me as much by the end. I felt like the book and its timeline was very messy. It had a good plot but I couldn’t understand some of the things going on for a chunk of it because there was no explanation. Jayden(fmc) and her alpha/omega situation wasn’t clear for most of the book. It felt like there wasn’t much chance to get to know any other characters but they were all important? The ending felt rushed and unnecessary and I don’t think that as many things needed to happen in the last 20%. I was getting into it until that happened. It was a shame but maybe more will happen in the next book.

This book has it all: political intrigue, action, mystery, and betrayal. Kaylin Peyerk sends readers on an emotional rollercoaster, allowing them to experience the raw guilt, rage, and lust that follow Jayden after her twin's murder. The slow pace was perfect, allowing readers to see the gradual shift in her feelings towards the princes as she went from not knowing them to gradually realizing she could love them and be happy. Peyerk is masterful at creating sensual scenes leaving characters and readers panting for more. The kisses between Jayden and the princes are some of the steamiest I've read.*fan self*
Wolf Rejected is one of those books that's plot, character, and writing combine into a book that you don't want to put down, and then you keep checking the release date of the next book, hoping it's moved up! I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. This book is a medium burn, mildly spicy paranormal reverse harem. I'd recommend it for adults due to the romance, adult situations, and some violence. I would not recommend it if you are triggered by the death of a family member, violence, or abuse. If you love mysteries, a strong female main character that comes into her own, plots twists, arranged marriages that end in love with scenes that get readers breathing hot and heavy, then what are you waiting for? Grab this book right now and start reading!
