He's the uncivilized side of the law, the kind of man who lives by his own code of Western justice. Relentless, untamed, and honorable to a fault. The kind of man any woman would forget all the rules to love.
JOSH GRADY
Even the most successful bounty hunter has to settle down sometime, so when a run-in with a pair of killers leaves him wounded, Josh decides to make a fresh start at the Rocking R Ranch. Compared to his last job, wrangling cattle and repairing fences seem downright relaxing. But that's before he meets the boss's daughter from back East. Emmie Ryan's highfalutin manners make him testier than a rattlesnake, but he's convinced that her oh-so-proper exterior conceals the wild nature of a true Texan. All Josh needs to do is help her to forget that she's a lady ... and remember that she's a woman.

This was a pretty good read. I really enjoyed the characters and their personalities. Great emotions, written well, strength, courage, some humor, a little suspense, and a good HEA. Great for reading anytime and worth the time. Enjoy
When an Eastern-raised young lady returns to Texas to fulfill the terms of her father’s will, she falls in love with the Wild West and a rugged cowboy who makes her Boston beau look tame and dull by comparison.
I loved this book so much that I keep on reading it over and over again. I am a cowgirl so its interesting to know what it was like in the olden days. I loved all the characters in this book.
So this book was a waste of my time! There is only one sex scene and it can hardly be called that in my book, there are two romances in this story and the secondary seems to outshine the main one. It isnt romantic in the least for me I give it 1.5 and no more.. Hes a bounty hunter and when he gets injured he decides that hes going to try to work for a friend at his ranch. Ok he gets there and his friend needs money and he needs a new way of life so they strike a partnership and he owns 30%. Well the guy dies and leaves his 70% to his daughter who lives in the east. Long story short the girl comes to the ranch and they "fall in love"? not understandable to me but thats how it goes. They dont seem to spend enough time together to "fall in love" but somehow they are confessing love and fast like too. It could have been a great book but it was just lacking in all areas... dont think ill pick up another bobbi smith
This book started off for me with an eye-catcher then sort of fizzled out into an almost-like-every-other-Western-romance-novel there ever is. Knowing that it is a Western and also a romance you can almost guess the plot, the end of the book and what is going to happen.
The female characters were entertaining while I don't believe there has been that much of a sisterhood between them since Lucy and Mina from the original "Dracula". They were close and sister-like yet strongly independent when needed. They were the actual catalysts in the book. The male characters were extremely minor in comparison with Josh eventually being overcome by his brother.
And I loved the ending even though it was guessable that Millie was going to find herself a Western man for herself. All in a cute read for the times when you want to snuggle up, cover yourself in a romance and just ride the range for a day or so.
