The final chapter in the Viking Brothers Series...
Dag knows his destiny lies within the future. Will it be with his eldest brother or beyond? Has time bound him to a woman, the way it has for Thorin and Jerrik? And if so, who will she be? Either way, he's ready to head straight into the mist.
Desiree has been running from love her whole life. With a rough start in life, she's only ever depended on herself. Now, after a fling gone wrong, Dez finds herself in a delicate situation. Her life is about to become a party of two.
During a celebration for Jett and Jerrik's twins' first birthday, Dez finds herself ripped from her time and thrown into the future. A dystopian future. And the only person to help her is Jerrik's terrifying bastard half-brother.
Dez and the scarred Viking get off to a rocky start as they try to find out what happened to the world around them. Dag feels bound by duty to protect the feisty woman and the baby she carries. His devotion to protecting her melts Desiree's tough, icy exterior. Could it be possible for love to blossom among the wreckage?
Wrapped up in each other and a new baby, neither has any idea that a psychotic woman who believes herself to be a god is plotting to use them, particularly Dag, to repopulate the world. Caught in her trap, they have to find a way to escape before she makes good on her plan. And before she can harm Desiree's child.
Will they get help from the most unlikely allies? Will they be enslaved forever? Or is it possible their destiny is to save the world? Find out in the epic conclusion to the Viking Brothers series, in…Bound Through Time: Future.
I was born and raised in Joliet, IL. I wrote my first story in the 3rd grade and fell in love with creating my own world. But throughout the years I have lacked the discipline to actually sit down and write. Even with a minor in Creative Writing (which should have been my major). I have been a avid romance novel reader since Jr. High and have read hundreds. I have lived in Chicago, Japan, California and now reside in Arizona. And I wanted nothing more than to combine my love of romance, writing and traveling and put them in a book. So one day out of the blue while in the middle of reading another book, the story that I had started months ago kept bombarding my every thought. Until I couldn't even continue to read the book I was in the middle of. I put down my Nook and picked up my laptop and about fifteen days later, I had finished my first draft of my manuscript. It was the most exhilarating moment of my life. To know that I finally did it. That I finally finished something that I had started. And now I'm and AUTHOR and PUBLISHER! I never would have thought that was possible three months ago. I just hope that everyone that picks up any of the books I write from here on out, enjoy them as much as I did writing them.
I don't understand the high ratings for this book cause to me, this was a mess. But to each their own. Throughout Dez's story I kept wondering if this author actually likes Black women? Cause it really seems like she doesn't. She doesn't treat the Black women in this book or in this series with care! They ALL suffer and the whitest of white men come to save them. I guess that's what some people like and it would be okay but I HATE that she makes the Black women suffer SO DAMN MUCH! What was the reason?!?!?!?!
I truly hated this book. What Dez went through at the hands of a Black woman pissed me TF off! Why would someone write this as a black romance author? Again...what was the reason?
I did not enjoy this series. I had high hopes for this last installment and I was disappointed as hell.
The End of the Time Travelling Brothers & their Gorgeous Wives
Twyla Turner is my author. I say that unapologetically and that will never change. Unless she suddenly decides to start writing terrible books. Which I don’t see happening. So again, she is my author and one of the few authors I will blindly book buy from needing no synopsis. If she writes it, I buys it. Lol.
That being said, this was the final instalment in the lives of the fearsome Viking brothers and the beautiful modern women that managed to tame them. Man did I enjoy every bit of the journey with the cast. I loved that we got to see the brothers because I was so heartbroken that they never got to interact with each other across time and space. I loved that we got to see Ellie, Jett, Gyde, Jerrikand Thorfin again and reconnect with what was happening in the village. It was a lovely conclusion to see insight on the characters of the previous books.
Now let’s talk new characters. They were great as well. Loved Lupe, Maggie, obviously hated Asher. The little weasel who got his comeuppance. I’m gonna get a little controversial here, but I loved Reese. What a crazy b*t€h. The woman was off off her rockers, but she was such a badass and sexy villainess. The fact that I could picture her, even her demeanour and manner of speaking. That tells you that the character was written well. She was bold, bat s- crazy, unabashed, bat sh- crazy and BAT SH— CRAZY. Lol. She inspired genuine feelings of disgust and anger in me. That my fellow readers, is how a villain is supposed to be written.
I liked the apocalyptic world and the saving it and all of that. It was down well. I could see the places described. Under the dome, the state of brokenness in the city and just the all around general sense of bleakness. The prose was well written and as I read, it unfolded as a movie jumping to life from the page. Immensely enjoyable. Loved that tie in with Willow and how it all came together. I like that. You go Willow!
The ending was a nice little bow for our characters who got closure and brought a tear to my eye to see my characters all grown up. This might be the end of the line for our vikings and the women who love them, but not the end for Twyla’s books and I look forward to enjoying her next book.
What a way to end a story. I love the way the family came together to save a brother. The story was great and I loved Dag and Dez relationship. He was so attentive to her needs just loved it. I would recommend.
Rtc. I may bunp this one up to 4 stars. I need to think about this... I liked this story and the main characters a lot except a couple things I really didn't like.
I absolutely loved the third and final book in this series everything came full circle. Reading the other 2 books in this series makes this 3rd book that much better. I loved all the books. Author Twyla turner is one of my favorites and she hasn’t disappointed me yet. Read this series it’s great! You will go through all thee emotions reading this series, it will have you ready to smack and give some beat downs to some of these women in this series. When you read the series you will understand trust.
I’ve had the pleasure of reading every book from this series and to say that I love it is an understatement. Twyla has had me laughing and mad as a hatter but this book pulled such beautiful emotions from me. I cried y’all! Like real tears. When Dez found out that it was her daughter that was saving the world. Seeing a man love so thoroughly a woman and a child that was not biologically his. This book and series was beautifully written. I will definitely read this series over and over again. Beautiful job Twyla. Truly!
Ok so if you haven’t read books one and two I highly suggest you do for entertainment but of course you don’t have to read either to read and enjoy this one. I will say that reading book 2 and understanding Jett and Dez’s relationship helps. Now, let me tell you if you read book one, you know Twyla can and will slide some dark ish right in between all this mushy Viking loving goodness and she did it here to. As always the writing is good and the plot fleshed out really well. Some people get bent out of shape over time travel and it’s rules but I don’t have any problems with it and I think she handled it all well. I have a small personal problem with a very minor detail but it doesn’t effect the story so I’ll keep it to myself. Cause it’s strictly a personal thing. I’m so happy that the Curvy Girl Queen is back to giving us these beautiful stories feature plus size women. This is like the 3rd book this year!!!! (2022) Yay for us!
Dag feels like his purpose will be found in the future. Dez just wants to have her baby in peace and go back to the present. They’ll need each other’s help to go forward.
If Turner had ended this series without talking about the third brother, it would have been problems. Absolute problems. There’s just no way that setup wasn’t supposed to pay out. I would have rioted.
It was a fitting end to the series, and I was happy to get a HEA for all involved.
If you like Vikings and pregnant sex, this is for you.
I didn’t want to read this book because I knew I’d have to let go of the series afterwards. I’m going to miss all of the characters. Dez and Dag are chef’s kiss. The author has such a creative and brilliant mind. The way she brought all three books together turned out to be a masterpiece.
Excitement, danger and swoons - great end to the series
I loved, loved the time travel romance of Dag and Dez. Dez is a pediatric nurse. She is 8 months pregnant as the result of a one night stand. She is celebrating the 4th of July on a boat with her best friend Jett and her husband Jerrick (from book 2 in the series) when the mysterious fog plucks her from the boat and transports her 50 years in the future. Dag is a Viking from 1051 and has been restless to travel. He chooses to look for the time traveling fog that has transported his brothers in the past. A very pregnant Dez is the first thing he sees when he opens his eyes to a dystopian future and he is instantly enthralled. To get to their HEA, Dag and Dez must survive the crazy scavengers and other nefarious future dwellers and protect the baby while they wait to find the fog and leave the nightmare future. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, strong families, steamy times, real life issues, painful pasts, imperfect characters, high stress dangerous situations, evil actors, and love. The story included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline. I am sorry to see the end of this series. It has been one of my favorites.
To start, I love reading and watching just about everything involving Vikings. This story did not disappoint. The author urges the reader to follow the story series because they enter-twine. I did not because this was a book on my TBR from years ago. I enjoyed the plot and absolutely loved the characters, especially the Vikings and how they met their soulmate. I liked the surprise twist at the end, and won’t spoil it during this review.
What a felicitous ending to this time travelling Viking trilogy. I liked and admired how masterfully Ms Turner incorporated the detrimental effects of climate change in conjunction with a deadly pandemic underlining the dangerous impact of two catastrophic events. Dez and Dag meet in a now dystopian totalitarian New York and bond quickly as they try to navigate their new circumstances. I loved Desiree as she was strong, outspoken, singular and funny. Dag captivated me from the onset….a protector, companion and lover with an endearing soul (every woman’s fantasy). I only wish the story was longer and more in-depth but overall I enjoyed it. Book 2 was my absolute favourite. Looking forward to your next series.
Another great addition to a time travel legacy. I enjoyed Dag and Dez immensely. This one was a little bit grittier than the others and it makes sense because of the setting. This was a great conclusion to this long series. I wish there were more time travel to different period stories where the MC is a bw. Twyla Turner is an exceptional author and I am giddy at the thought of reading new stories from here since this one is at its end.
Absolutely magnificent story, a fitting end for a monumental series!
I want a Viking, I've been dreaming about Vikings my whole life, watched all the film's, tv series and documentaries about them....so I know a lot and I want one! This story had me in my feelings as Dag was a beast of a man who I loved from the very first book and he didn't disappoint, neither did Desiree. They were fierce, passionate, loving and adorable together and not in a sickly way. They fell in love organically which was amazing to read. The love making between them was explosive and I'm not ashamed to say, made my quim throb ha ha. This is a brilliant end to a wonderfully witty and sexy apocalyptic story. It deserves 10 stars if it was possible. Twyla Turner is simply the BEST!!!
I really enjoyed this story and the characters were very entertaining. Dag and Dez's journey was fantastic and so full of twist and turns and drama. I love the chemistry between Dag and Dez it was smoking hot 🔥 and very intense. I could not put it down I read it in one sitting it was that good. Then Ms Turner gave you a taste of the future in the ending and that was icing on the cake. This is a series I can see reading over and over again. I highly recommend this series to my fellow romance readers you will not be disappointed. Thank you Ms Turner you did the damn thing with this series.👏 👏
I still can remember reading Thorin and Ellie’s story years ago and waiting impatiently for the other brothers stories to come out . Now that this is the end the feeling is so bittersweet . However , Ms.Turner had done it again. Not only did she get me to read this story way pass my bedtime but she also got me to fall in love with another brother . I didn’t think anyone could replace Thorin, Jerrik tried but it was Dag who succeeded . I love this story , it had it all love , drama, twists ,but most importantly it had the best ending possible . Destiny fulfilled
This was an amazing series. I loved every story. Every character was fully developed. All plot lines were fully developed & explored & closed. I loved every freakin minute of these books! I’m so excited about each & every outcome. But the Future storyline with Dag & Dez was shocking totally unexpected. I loved the 1st two books so much when I saw the third on pre-sale I just went ahead & ordered it. I didn’t read not one synopsis. So I was surprised from the prologue to the epilogue. For real though I love It. Twyla Turner you’re an amazing storyteller & artist.
What a way to end the series! You have done it again Ms Turner!! Dez and Dag were the perfect couple for this story. Phew chile, this story had my emotions all over the place. The world you created and the descriptions were so easy to picture in my mind.
Let's just say I would like to we a miniseries of all the books.
At first I thought okay it might be a okay book. After getting passed the first 2 chapters, I couldn’t stop. The back and forth play had me holding my breath. Okay let me say I refused to give a great story away, so if you want to know about this you need to read it. I have The Whole series and I had to go and read the first 2, before I started reading this one. Ms. Turner thank you 🙏🏾 I loved it. I have read the other two more then 2 or 3 times, now I know I will be doing it again because this last one was the best, I will say this I wanted to beat Reese a$$. This is a fabulous story to read I promise.
This was the perfect conclusion to this series!! I don’t want to ruin it so I can’t give too many details. Dez and Dag are, of course, taken through the fog and end up in the future. When they meet they are the only people around and they know they need to stick together to survive. I love how easily they worked together and how Dez wasn’t some wilting flower who just whined the entire time. They were truly equals. And Dag was amazing. He knew there were things she would know that he didn’t and made sure she knew they were equals but that he would protect her. Their relationship blossomed so beautifully. It didn’t feel rushed or forced. It went right along with the rest of the story. Wonderful wonderful read! Please read this trilogy as I know you will love all of the books!
The witch of the biodome was absolutely off her rocker. A goddess, really? She was definitely a psychotic sociopath. Twyla wrote a very imaginative story about a dystopian future in New York City. I love reading every page and enjoyed the conclusion of the series.
At least Dez did have a warning as to what happens in the strange fog. Just like Dag said, it was their destiny to meet and fall in love. Dag had that wanderlust before he purposely went into the fog. I think he subconsciously knew he needed to protect Dez and her baby, so she could grow up and save the world.
There is no easy way to summarize this final story in the Viking trilogy. Dag and Dez are awesome and the story is wonderful.
I reread books 1 & 2 before I started this book, just to refresh my recollection. Reading the three in order makes for an incredible reading experience.
I’m sorry the trilogy is done, but this will always be one of my favorite series.
I love this time traveling series. I have always loved historical romances. So, I loved Ellie and Thorin's story. Being a black woman in the 21st century I just couldn't imagine living without running water or living in a foreign country. But, I think Dez and Dag's had it rough.. Their story was incredible. I loved their connection and Dag's connection and acceptance with baby Willow. I loved the ending. I recommend this story and the rest of the Rolfson Brothers stories.
I am not ready for this series to end!😭😭. Dez is such a strong woman who finds herself in an unexpected situation. As always, she planned to handle on her own. Dag knew something more was out in the world for him. Both set out on an adventure, one by choice and the other by accident. So, so good!💞
I was very excited about this final book and it did not disappoint! I absolutely loved this story. A romance mixed with a bit of thriller and lots of Steam! This is my first series by Ms.Turner and her storytelling skills have made me a fan. I look forward to what else she has. 10/10
I absolutely loved this series, Dez and Dag are absolutely fire together, each one of these sexy Viking brothers were swoon worthy but something about Dag's strength and vulnerability towards Dez and Willow made him my favorite. Excellent read. I've come to expect nothing less from this author. I have read all of her books and have never been disappointed.
In trying not to give anything away, I will just mention the future is dystopian. So like many, the first part might seem a little slow because the base of the story is building. But then, off to the races we go as things start to take off. This is a good mix of romance, gore, environment warning and comedy.
I enjoyed all three books immensely. My favorite being Jerrick cause who can resist a large viking man twerking? Not I! But this story is a close second. Dag and Dez trusting each other and learning together was beautiful! I enjoy your books Twyla and I am hoping that since ya know....willow got like three names and a husband we get a tiny story about her....no pressure! Lol.
I really enjoyed the series the author did a good job of creating her characters and developing them Each book from the series was interesting. I found myself wondering while reading if the author would answer all questions about why they traveled to different time periods in the 1st place..... she did.
