Boston Sour brought the spice!!! This reverse age gap, bodyguard romance with dirty talking, did a number on me. Throw in a stalker ex-husband did it for me, upgrading this book with suspense and thrill.

Bringing heat to the Boston Sour🔥🥵🔥
Ms, Imani Jay never disappoints with her quick, steamy stories and this was another hot one for her first LTC debut🙌🏾. I loved that she brought together the men from her O’Malley and DeLuca books😍.
Cal and Nina were hot for each other and I sooooo enjoyed that there was an age difference “OWYM”😊. I laughed at how he hung up on his friend Joey when he took sight of his mother-in-law cuz he was sprung🥴. Cal the owner of a private security firm took the job of protecting Nina who was being harassed by her ex-husband Paul who was incarcerated. Cal wasn’t about to let that continue and took matters into his own hand but it backfired😑. Nina having been on the run and not wanting to pull anyone else into her crazy world also took matters into her own hand. Luckily, she left a lifeline for Cal to latch onto and was able to avoid a tragedy😰. Cal and Nina’s chemistry was fire and the sexy innuendos and touches by Cal were so hot, there was no way Nina could resist him🔥. Oooh and the satisfying pleasure she had with Cal taking part of her play time was everything🥵😈🥵.
As with all LTC stories you have to pack a lot in a short story and everything is hurried and with suspense, action, comedy and delightful moments this was a hit for me👍🏾. If you like quick steamy read you have to check this one out.

Boston Sour is a story that is closely connected to Imani Jay’s Giuseppe DeLuca. In fact, even though it does not say as much, it can be considered a sequel. It follows characters from the story and the events of this come about because of what happened in the other book.
However, if you have read Giuseppe DeLuca, you will quickly find that the characters have completely changed for this story. They are entirely new characters – from the way they speak to the way they behave – and important elements of their past are not explored in a way that is required. In fact, everything is pushed aside to allow this story to play out as pure smut. Which is fine if that is what you want, but there should have been much more with this type of storyline. I may have been able to overlook this if the smut had been good, but it felt forced and it made me cringe.
All in all, this did not work for me despite the fact it has clearly worked for many.

It would've been better if....
It had more depth. Like it was hella short, their interactions after meeting in the restaurant didn't seem real at all. Not even in a dream state. I'm not sure how many days this was but it seemed like they met and got married within a week. Their connection seemed purely sexual, no real love. They didn't even know each other at all, granted he knew a bit more than her bc of her file. It just didn't make any sense to me. I'm probably realistically giving it a 2.5. The grammar/spelling was ok but an editor is definitely needed. It's a decent read for a short bus ride, if you've got some time to spare when your kids are sleeping, or maybe on your lunch break if you can eat and read simultaneously but DEFINITELY could be way way better.

Quick read
This was a fast easy full of action drama. Calling aS doing a favor for his best friend by agreeing to protect his other in law Nina Amar Sow. He fell hard on first sight. He did not care if she were older than him. This was a problem for Nina. But Callum O'Malley stirred up feelings she never had. Not even when things were good with her crazy ex. She couldn't resist the charm of Cal. Even though he was incarcerated for a lifetime, her ex wanted to continue to make her life miserable. Calling was not going to let anything happen to HIS woman. The warning was given and ignored and those responsible for torturing Nina paid the price.
Being a woman of a particular age myself, it was good to read that the mature woman got her younger virile stud and her HEA.

Imani Jay Boston Sour is part of the Lunchtime Chronicles series. Cal and Nina were meant to be together. Nina's ex husband was in the 'life'' and he was arrogant and thought he's was untouchable. When Cal and Nina came face to face I felt the chemistry and attraction they had for one another coming through the pages. As we learned about Nina and Cal's pasts it made me love them even more. The "sexy times" was off the chart and I couldn't put this book done. And Imani made you want to finish the book to see what happens. The characters were very well written and it made me feel like the characters were real. I love the O'Malleys men. I highly recommend this book. Imani Jay never disappoints and I can't wait for her next book.

I knew when I saw that Imani Jay was going to be apart of LTC season 5, that she might continue the O'Malley clan. And boy did bring the receipts!! I never ever expected she would combine the most wicked families. No spoilers cause the whole book is fiya!! 🔥🔥🔥 If you've read Imani Jay's book Guiseppe DeLuca from the Savage Bloodlines and any of her O'Malley books then you'll be familiar with both families for this book. If not, is ok too. This book is still fabulous. There is heat, drama, steamy sexual tension, humor and some jaw dropping I can't believe they did that sex scenes. Like I said Imani Jay brought out her arsenal with this book! And to combine both families? Brilliant!! Totally a must-read.

This was a short, fast, steamy and right to the point romance. It's all about the instalove with an age gap in Boston Sour and it sure packs a sexy punch.
Callum is called in to protect Nina who keeps getting threatening mail from an ex who is in prison. Callum is a family friend and the minute he sees Nina, all bets are off. He feels IT and lets Nina know that she is his. All alpha and protective and he will do anything to keep Nina safe.
While this was fast paced, yet well-written, I'm not the biggest fan of insta love. Especially when the size of the story is more novella. I would've loved more build up of relationship, but Imani Jay still brings the heat and makes you interested in the story and the pasts of the characters. If I had more time to invest in them, I would've been more prepared to dive into their relationship with them.
All in all, a fast and sexy read.

Listen...instalove can be hit or miss for me because I tend to want a little more buildup. But seeing as this is a quick novella, it kinda made sense. This author did a great job at making that *click* happen between our two characters. It's lust-at-first-sight and both Cal and Nina feel it. Hard. He's younger than her but that doesn't seem to matter because he goes all in pretty quickly. I guess when you know you know, and Cal knew! Nina went along for the ride and ended up enjoying it more than she thought. And even though this was a short read, it wasn't all sexy-times. This author seemlessly threw in a bit of drama and suspense that made it a fun, quick read.

Nina was trusted to his care in Boston as her son-in-law asked his best friend to keep her safe. However, when he laid eyes on Nina his mind went to babies and marriage. Callum was determined to keep her safe and love her to the end of time. A great read!.

I could not put this book down. I was crazy excited to read it and it did not disappoint. When he said mine, he meant that to his soul. Nina had no chance. Even with the years of abuse you could see trying to hold her back in her thought pattern, she still held onto hope and a belief that Callim would come for her. There was no escaping from that type of full on, Boston, claiming. She knew her mate when she met him and she ended up safe in the arms of her love.

Ok. I tell you this season 5 of this series is very hot so far. Callum and Nina was something else. She was escaping her ex mob husband but he came to the rescue even if that was his best friend's mother in law. Nothing stopped him for going after her along protect her. I see age ain't nothing but a number and love conquers all. I highly recommend this book cause this was another page turner!!

No matter how old
I thoroughly enjoyed this story because of the characters and that plot. It was good to get the rest of the story that was started about Joey, Maddy and introducing Cal. Nina is rewarded for the abuse that she had suffered and for being a smart, badass woman. So deserving. Loved it.

I saw this book on the authors page and had to read it. Strong attraction , graphic sexual moments, and cals protective nature from the moment he met Nina is what makes you want to read this book. I will admit there were time in the story where the jump in time went to far ahead when we could have used more but that could just be me

I kinda love short little stories like this sometimes when I’m not in the mood for something hard or deep. I’m not usually an insta-love/lust fan, but if it’s decently written (like this was) then I’m ok with it. One thing I know for certain, I am more than interested in anything and everything Imani Jay based off this little snippet of a story.

From rhe very beginning of this book, you know its going to be a sexy book! Cal meets Nina and he is already imaging her pregnant with his child...Nina sees Cal and gets heated imaging what they could do...this book gets gooder and gooder! 1st time reading a book by Imani Jay and i LOVED it! Recommend this book! HIGHLY
