Was a TikTok fan and immediately purchased the book upon its release. Autumn is such a gifted wordsmith! But what is most beautiful about this collection is not just the heartwarming images that she conjures and and crafts through poetry and prose, but rather how evident her worshipful heart is. The epilogue of the book captures it perfectly: “But if this jar of perfume should be poured out at once, if it should be wasted on the feet of the Savior, it is well with my soul. If all I have managed to do in my toiling is paint a praise for my God, let it be a portrait for only Him to see.” And I truly believe that she feels that way! It’s so exciting to know that she’s only 20 and that this is her first published work. I look forward to enjoying and meditating on the art that the Spirit guides her to create in the future! Also: don’t read the book in one sitting; savor it 😌

Great little book of poetry!

Exerpt from the last stanza:
"But if this jar of perfume should be poured out at once,
If it should be wasted
On the feet of the Savior,
It is well with my soul.
If all I have managed to do in my toiling
is paint a praise for my God,
Let it be a portrait for only Him to see."

This collection of words is breathtaking. It makes your heart ache and swell with joy and feel so deeply. Each line is so intimate and personal; so easily shared. Autumn has such a gift and I’m so grateful that she is sharing it with the world. I couldn’t stop reading the poems, one after another, and I will read them over and over again. Each one paints such a beautiful picture of praise to God. I’m so glad I purchased her book after stumbling upon one of her poems on TikTok. It is so dear to me!

Beautifully written is all I have to say. (This was my first reading any Christian poetry book) I didn’t want to read this in just a couple days I wanted to spend time reading this. It’s emotional reading this because God really loves me even after all I done. The complete and utter works of God are truly beautiful. The message from this poetry explains just that. Also, “The Boy Jesus” poem makes me cry. 🥹

This collection of poems is absolutely stunning and definitely accomplished the goal of painting a praise for God. The opening poem and ending poem are so carefully crafted. They are the perfect bookends to a beautiful poetry collection that focuses on themes of God’s glory, Christ’s sacrifice, and self reflection. This collection is short, but the depth you’ll read on the pages makes up for it! Highly recommend!

A quick read and gorgeous work. When I couldn’t sleep one night, due to anxiety, Jesus used this book to comfort me. “On Mercy and Majesty” is the poem that aided in my sleep. The line, “with every sunrise he whispers me his mercies” especially helped.
The poem “The Boy Jesus” made me smile. It brought Jesus on earth to life.

I loved this! Short little poems and pieces of prose depicting the goodness of God. My favourite is ‘The Boy Jesus.’ Lots of food for thought and nuggets to ponder over. This is an amazing coffee table book.

deeply touching and stirring. Waite has a gift, one she’s giving right back to the Giver.
