This textbook is dry, but to be expected when it comes to ethics and laws. That being said, it was very clear which is nice and I enjoyed the case illustrations to further make points and break it up a little. Any personal dislike is from questioning the clear-cut answers to everything and the fact that not everything is black and white. Plus, occasionally priority can be off when it comes to the care of clients (but ignore these rambles). Glad I was able to do text to speech on this one!
Easy to read book that illuminates ethical and legal issues in the counseling profession. I found the discussion questions at the beginning of the chapter helpful and also appreciated the examples of informed consent that I can utilize in my future practice. I also appreciate that the ACA code of ethics is included in the appendix. One of the only textbooks I can say was fun and easy to read cover to cover.
