Fascinating adventure!

Having fully taken on the responsibilities of the Maker and the Magick, Shay and Wildwood, with the help of Stout, a fairy, are seeking further explanations about their future. To do so, they must look at the past and face dangers that test their abilities.

The magical adventure continued with Wildwood and Shay uncovering even more truths about themselves, the magick, and the history of where they live. It was fascinating to learn about other characters we’d met throughout the series so far, and more about what Wildwood and Shay had already encountered. Much of this help came from Stout, a great introduction to the series, who injected some humour in the dark surroundings of all Wildwood and Shay were learning.

Their relationship and talents were severely tested from a most unexpected source. This time there were wondrous moments of discovery, but also heart-breaking moments building around all the events and drama as they really got to witness the power of all the demons and magick combined. Together they are a formidable team but the emotional stress this instalment took on Shay, really made glad she had Wildwood to support her and be a source of strength when she needed it most to succeed.

A great addition to the series and can’t wait to find out what awaits them in future!

Sharon Angelici continues to amaze, excite and terrify me with this incredible series. I am truly not generally a demon genre reader but this adventure is over the top engaging and page turning. Jen TIdwell's narrating talents are so wonderfully honed in this series I don't wan to pause the 'battles' within the story to do my daily life. I am in awe of the incredibly seamless way folks with varied life journeys are so effortlessly given space within the story to be seen through struggle, work, and recognition. This journey really is about so much more than just demons and magic. I am once again unwilling to put spoilers in so take the plunge and enjoy this third book in The Maker Series. I am off to enjoy book four. If you have not yet enjoyed the first two books in this series i would strongly encourage you read them first. If you don't this book will be a bit difficult to navigate without lots of pondering. The holes that you will find are taken care of in the first two books.

Wow! This series just keeps getting better and better. I'm completely captivated by Shay and Wildwood's journey of self-discovery and the unfolding mysteries surrounding their magic. The challenges they face, and the unexpected sources of conflict, kept me utterly hooked. The plot twists are masterful, making this a true page-turner. I was genuinely surprised by several developments, and the emotional depth of the characters is remarkable. I highly recommend starting with the first two books in the series to fully appreciate the richness of the storyline and the character development. The world-building is immersive and imaginative, creating a truly unforgettable reading experience. I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review, and I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. I’m eagerly anticipating the next installment!

This wasn't my favorite addition to the series but I still enjoyed the last quarter!

It did feel like it dragged since I'd expected more demon fighting after where book 2 left us but all we got were pages and pages of exposition and nothing but confusing dialogue that continued to weave back on itself over and over. I totally get that that MCs were supposed to be in the dark about a lot of things but after 75% of the book being like this (as the thickest book in the series), I found myself getting lost in the sauce far too many times.

The ending was very action packed though and finally felt like it wrapped up the point of everything else. Excited to dive into the final book 🖤
