When a souls surrenders to Jesus, He gives Himself in turn. It is the law of friendship, and there is no friend like Jesus. Anyone who wishes to enter into that intimate friendship will find in this little book the simple steps required for making one's life a continual offering to the glory of God and the salvation of our neighbour.
Someday I need to do a proper review of this book. I have two copies of it because after I got the first one, I wanted another copy 'just in case'. Just in case of what? I don't know, but just in case. Book people do that sometimes, if a book is very special and in danger of falling out of print.*
Unfortunately, I don't know how to review this book except to say, "Read it" and see for yourself. But I am still going to come back and try to do a review... I hope, maybe...
*I had five copies of one out of print book. I gave one away as a gift and sadly I think I gave it to the wrong person, but I have someone else in mind for another of my precious copies.
A wonderful book that will explain why a Catholic - if he or she wants to make progress in the spiritual life - must practice self-surrender to God. That means that we must give to God what is most precious as rational free beings: our will. By giving our will 100% to God and dying to self, He will work wonders in our soul, helping us to overcome our defects and do His holy will. Highly recommended!
