Sandy Harbor people probably never thought something like this murder would happen, and there was definitely no shortage of suspects that'd probably like to kill the less-than-nice police chief Sam. I felt kinda bad for him know how he'd been sick and all, but he really could've been a nicer person before he was sick. I did have my suspicions about whodunit though and it turned out to be right.

Allie and Lucy were still hitting the sleuthing trail as they found out a lot of stuff about Sam that wasn't too surprising from the way he ran things and seemed to have his favorites. I know Alec sure didn't want to think about another cop doing Sam in...so, whodunit? You'll just have to read and find out. Off to the next book on KU!

Murder Supreme is the 18th book in Cozy Baked Mystery Series and I enjoyed reading it. It is fun and quick read. Allie again helps to investigate. And she bakes a lot of strawberry cakes. I am looking forward to the next book in my favourite series.

Who Killed Sam Bailey ? . . .

Sam Bailey, Sandy Harbor's chief of police, had problems with many people. But who would actually kill him? He was found dead sitting on the chaise lounge out on his patio with a look of terror on his face. It appeared that he had been strangled. Allie’s P.I. husband, Alec, is brought in by Yancey to investigate and track down the killer. Of course Allie and Lucy, her best friend, will be on the case as well doing their part to dig up clues. Can this awesome team find out who killed Sam Bailey? And could they talk Ben into taking the vacated Chief of Police job so that Alec didn’t get pulled into it? Ben would be good for the job, and Alec could breathe a sigh of relief.

This is an entertaining and engaging cozy mystery with a nice variety of characters. The plot is well-written and holds the reader’s attention as Allie helps to search for clues while keeping everyone full of delicious baked goods. The characters are easy to like. The story line has the right balance of suspense and intrigue to keep the reader’s full attention. Grab your copy and enjoy!

Things are going well with Allie and Alec. Thad and Sarah have decided to move to Sandy Harbor which is making Allie very happy. She continues to make scrumptious desserts and taking them to Henry’s. Unfortunately, things aren’t as they appear. Someone kills Sam Bailey, the Chief of Police, at his home. He had a lot of enemies and anyone could have murdered him. Who could have done it and why? As Alec is asked to investigate, Allie and Lucy do their own snooping. They learn some of the police officers are corrupt, including Sam himself. Now Internal Affairs must be called to “clean house”. A temporary chief needs to be placed until a new chief is named. Luckily for Alec, a former officer he knows is assigned to the station. We are introduced to the new police chief and his wife.

The mystery has so many twists and turns it keeps you guessing till the end. This is very well written murder mystery with engaging characters and a very interesting plot. I highly recommend it to all mystery readers. I loved the camaraderie of the characters.

I enjoyed this cozy mystery story with all of the characters. The main character was Allie.

Allie and her husband try to find out what has happened to the police chief. He is found dead on his front porch. They go around town asking questions and find out things. And also sometimes her friend helps too. While this is going on her son and his wife come home to see them.

This was a fun mystery story to read. It had action, adventure and suspense within. It had a few laughs and giggles throughout. It was fun trying to solve the mystery.

I received a complimentary copy via Booksprout. This is my honest unbiased opinions.

When the current Chief of Police who many people had issues with end up dead, Alec is brought in from the outside to help as talks of police corruption erupts. However, Allie's biggest fear is he will end up taking over as the new Chief of Police if they cannot find someone they can trust.

I love this author and her clean down to earth murder mysteries. No curse words. I would like them even more without the alcohol.
