Happily ever after is not a fairytale, it’s a choice!!

Janae and Skeet have survived the test of all time, but their marriage is rockier than ever. The honeymoon phase is over and the Riccardo Cartel’s youngest couple is experiencing the growing pains of marriage when a plethora of secrets come knocking at their front door.

On the business side of things, Skeet has dominated his position as second in command and ruling the streets with an iron fist, but where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Someone close to Skeet is lurking in the shadows plotting his downfall in the game and his marriage.

From the very first time Skeet laid eyes on Janae, he knew that she was the one for him, but now he is no longer sure about that. Each day is a battle to stay together and he’s losing all hope. Will they survive the aftermath of their fallen foundation? Or is it a wrap for the Cartel Princess?

This was an okay series... As I have said before... I have felt lost a lot while reading this series... This book jumped around a bit much... there was mix up of characters... The thing that really bothered me was the way it just rushed through everything to close out in the last 10 to 20 pages... It was like an abrupt change in the flow and really makes it feel incomplete... I feel disappointed because I was all into the storyline just for it to feel like the author was over it and just rushed and abruptly ended it... This book had me talking to the books and all into my feelings super mad at Skeet and Janae...
I was mad at Janae because she kept letting Skeet get away with so much and looking so desperate and weak... I am like Skeet showed her how he really felt about her and their relationship when he kept doing him and going back and sleeping with Nia... She went through so much and Skeet just kept dumping on her and blaming her for everything like being raped was her fault... Janae was pregnant, handling 2 kids and working... So when Skeet wanted out of the marriage she should have took that and put on her superwoman vest and showed Skeet what he walked away from...
As for Skeet... ugh just talking about him makes me mad... To actually blame his wife for getting raped then to say he could not have sex with his wife because she may be pregnant by someone else only to have sex with Nia while she was pregnant and he didn't know who that baby was by... Like really... Then to insinuate that he was pretty much raped by Nia so them having sex shouldn't be a big deal and Janae should just accept it and be okay with it... All the while he is giving Janae such a hard time because she was raped... He is out here and kids are popping up left and right for him and he is just like on well Janae will just have to deal with it and accept it or move on... This just showed me what he really thought of his wife and their relationship because it is okay for him to do all of this but he disrespects Janae left and right behind what she went through...
Now for them to go from the really bad place to just as quickly get over it and be okay was just unrealistic to me...
Definitely disappointed with the ending of this book... Feel like there really is no closure so not sure if there is another spin off... But I guess we will see...

Thankful Janae and Skeet were able to stick it out. They both were young and had to figure things out as a married couple.
