The Savage Pride Duet

Rate this book
This set contains both Savage Pride and Silent Prejudice, the complete Savage Pride Duet!

Savage Pride

Zeno De Rossi is arrogant and callous. Nothing like the boy I grew up with.

He’s poised to take over the most powerful mafia family in New York.
To him, I’m nothing but the daughter of a soldier—a member of the staff at his grand estate…
Until his estranged brother comes home and shows an interest in me.

Now, I’m trapped in a dangerous dance between two men who hate one another.

Both have secrets.
Neither is safe.

They won’t quit until they destroy one another, and I have become their weapon of choice.

In this dark retelling of a Jane Austen classic, our elusive hero is a mafia king, ruthless and calculating; and our heroine is a headstrong modern woman born and raised in the servant’s quarters of his estate. Complete with romance, heartbreak, violence, manipulation, and mind-blowing twists, this edgy retelling is perfect for Austen fans who like the darker side of Darcy.

Silent Prejudice

They say the truth can set you free, but it can’t undo the past.
A past filled with secrets, lies, and heartache.

Zeno De Rossi unleashed a bomb when he told me the truth about our families.

He thought an explanation would bring us closer.
But how can I trust a man who has kept so many secrets?
How can I love a man who has caused so much pain?

Uncertainty haunts my every thought, but I may not have the luxury of choice.
In yet another cruel twist of fate, I’ve drawn the attention of a monster.
A man obsessed with ruining me.

I see no option but to put my life in Zeno’s hands.
Like it or not, he’s the only one who can keep me safe.

But will my heart be safe from him?

Silent Prejudice is the thrilling conclusion to The Savage Pride Duet—a classic tale of romance retold in a world of danger, deception, and murder.

Devoured every second of this ride 😍😍😍

First off, I'm glad that the second book isn't that far off from release because... THIS ONE HAS DRIVEN ME CRAZY & I WANT ME SOME ZENO WITH LUISA ACTION LIKE RIGHT NOW. 🥰🥰🥰

This one was like a beautiful slow cruise, taking you smoothly on a journey with absolutely no clue where the destination is and mind you, each chapter was one to savour with getting to know luisa and her family and her complicated dynamics with Zeno and Nevio, but never would I have imagined it would finally toss me in a whirlwind of complicated emotions and secrets leaving me 😲😲😲😲

Luisa is a independent girl who's made her way in life on her own. She's visiting her family who work for the De Rossi'.

She's had once a friendship with Zeno, the eldest De Rossi, where now they hardly talk to each other. Till date Luisa questions as to what happened all those years before for her Zeno to go from being her best friend to not wanting to even see her face.

When luisa finds somethings she feels she has to protect her father and in order to do that she will have to push ahead her schooling and solve the problem at home. As otherwise her beloved father and the most important man in her life would be in danger.

So she decides to prolong her stay and work for the de rossi'. But things get complicated when she feels the always aloof Zeno changing with the way he looked at her and randomly gave off vibes that he wanted her.

Not only that Zeno's brother, Nevio also wants to pursue her and now Luisa is stuck between deciding. Nevio the charmer and good mannered one or Zeno, whom she feels like fire when together but has no regards for others' feelings even his own family.

I found Zeno to be a enigmatic personality with keeping his feelings tightly closed off to himself while people presumed him to be rude. But you can't deny the sparks that go off between Luisa and Zeno.

I devoured this book with the many family dynamics and complications. BUT THAT FREAKING TWISTED AT THE END EXPLAINING EVERYTHING... OH MY GOODNESS... PLEASE I NEED BOOK 2 RIGHT FREAKING NOW. 😍😍

Also what's is happening between Gia and Carter. Please please Ms. Ramsover we need answers about them. Will they get together? And that connection between Ari and Grace.. Omg... How is that even possible. With Ari being the boss' daughter.

Ahhh.. So many things are going and I need answers. There's just something about the writing that sweeps you off into luisa's world and leaves you yearning for Zeno as much as she does. Loved loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Zeno.. That man is everything 🔥💋

For me this book was such a smooth sailing amidst a few bumps but I felt so amazing as now we finally get all the answers. Why was Zeno the way he was in the past, his behaviour regarding his brother, Nevio and so much more.

After that ending, knowing the secret now, Luisa does her best to stay away from Nevio, even though he doesn't seem to want to. Then there is Aldo, the creepy debt collector and how his advances seem to be getting dangerous.

And the most important and secretive of them all, Zeno. I was beyond estcatic when Zeno starts taking things ahead with luisa.

But now that they finally have a chance together, the Mafia boss himself, Christiano, doesn't approve of this union, leaving luisa scared and not knowing what will happen and what would she do.

I loved how luisa doesn't back down and demands answers from the ever silent Zeno and OMG.. Gia and Carter made me dance with glee.

Also, that freaking twister at the ending. Wow, this one made my heart so full and Zeno.. That man was scorching fire and I'm oh so jealous of Luisa for having him.

This duet is a must read for sure. Loved loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love Jane Austen and liked the idea of these books, so I thought I'd give them a shot. The writing was alright, and the retelling was creative, but two specific things kept pulling me out of the story and annoying me. First off, I hate when adults call their fathers, "Daddy." It's not cute or sweet, it's gross. If the character has a close relationship with their dad, then come up with a different way of showing that. Otherwise, I'm getting ick vibes and lose interest. Secondly, I didn't like how much the characters' names were changed from the original Pride and Prejudice names. I understand wanting to make it your own, but parts were just confusing, trying to remember who was who. Actual rating 2.75 stars.

Omg how was I tricked into reading Pride and Prejudice?! And how did it take me so long to realise. This was a wake up call to how dumb I’ve become. That it was only as I realised Zeno had meddled in Gia’s relationship and I thought huh just like Mr Darcy did the penny finally drop. Other than the thrilling moment when I realised I’d been hoodwinked into reading a classic this book was fine. Single POV which is helpful for creating mystery but more dull than her dual POV books. Characters a little meh. And well the plot was pretty good but then again it was an Austen plot….. overall I prefer all her other books more but didn’t hate the read

Great retelling!

My favorite Jane Austen novel.is Pride and Prejudice. So I had to read this. I wasn't disappointed. Luisa and Zeno are perfect for each other! Zeno was definitely Darcy but a modern, more dangerous Darcy. Luisa had more tears than Elizabeth but was still as spit-fire and independent. The families were represented well and the twists more to current times.
This was a little slow in the beginning but picked up steam, quickly.
I really wish there was dual POV but the bonus chapters helped. Overall, enjoyed and swooned over this book!

Love it

Jill Ramsower, I love this duet. The characters in the series remind me of Pride and Prejudice, I love , love the fact you put a mafia twist and other twists, it is amazing. I never thought a mafia twist would work, but it worked perfectly in my opinion.

Luisa and Zeno, grew up together. Secrets put a rift between their friendship, lasting years. As the story evolves, these secrets come to light. The story to me was good, even without the sexy scenes.

I absolutely loved this duet. This is unlike any retelling I’ve ever read. I loved the subtle hints that referenced the original Pride and Prejudice. I didn’t want this story to end and I will definitely be reading them again soon.
