About the author

Mark Hitchcock was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from law school in 1984. After working for a judge at the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals for four years, Mark was led to attend Dallas Theological Seminary, graduating in 1991. Since that time, he has served as senior pastor of Faith Bible Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. He completed his PhD at Dallas Theological Seminary in 2005 and serves as an associate professor of Bible exposition at DTS. He has authored over thirty books related to end-time Bible prophecy that have sold over one million copies. His books have been translated into over ten languages. Mark is a frequent speaker at churches and prophecy conferences both in the United States and internationally. Mark and his wife, Cheryl, live in Edmond, Oklahoma. They have two sons, Justin (married to Natalee) and Samuel, and two grandchildren..

Stop spreading misinformation. Say no to theocracy. My kids live in this world and I don’t want the author or it’s readers to endanger them by not respecting their right to live above another’s right to apparently make up their own rules (it’s just a mask! Wear it!), and not following just laws because they don’t understand or care about science or history. The authors might think COVId is inconvenient and therefore want to find some type of powerful lever to convince people that we shouldn’t follow COVId restrictions… and so they decided to manipulate people using their deep feelings about religion. Or perhaps the other way around. Even if we were to overlook this disingenuous treatment of the reader, it’s a huge stretch to then say that religious rule is the solution to a just and good society. I lived in Israel and saw how “just” theocracies treat people who aren’t the same brand of religion… with bulldozers, sniper bullets, and apartheid. The title of this book also sounds like something ISIL would write. Religious extremists can be Christian, Muslim, Jewish, other but all sound the same. Believe what you want but don’t endanger my family while you’re at it. There’s a reason why I’m raising my family here and not the Middle East. Let’s keep peace in America for as long as possible.

God is the ‘Great Resetter,’ and the work of total transformation will commence on the day when He sends Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, back to planet Earth just as He promised 2.000 years ago when Jesus ascended back to heaven.” (p. 154)

I’m a big fan of Kinley’s books and his approach to Biblical prophecy. I’ve also been hearing a ton about the Great Reset, all of it majorly concerning, and was looking for a book featuring Biblical approach to view what by all accounts is a domineering plot from a nefarious organization.

“WEF’s real agenda: to transform free people into servants of government…and to globalism itself” (p. 6)

“They do not hide the fact that the globalism they propose is rooted in democratic socialism and world citizenship. That in itself is alarming enough, as the socialist experiment has been a dismal failure in every country where it has been applied. History records the degree of economic disaster and human genocide lef it its wake is almost incalculable.” (p. 9)

The authors provide brief background on the World Economic Forum (WEF), which has apparently been holding clandestine meetings for decades. Among the attendants of these meetings have been world leaders, including those in the American government. From here, the book covers how Satan is at work in the world today, using Scripture to illustrate each point. The developments thus far to move the world to becoming cashless are featured, leading to a discussion of the Mark of the Beast.

“While the strategies of the global reset are coordinated and complex, the aim of it all is simple, yet sinister. Control. Total control. Global control. Iron-fisted control. Global authoritarianism is their intended goal. But harnessing total sway over the planet requires more than governmental and political control. To put their plan into place, the global resetters must seize control over the economy as well” (p. 55)

Hitchcock and Kinney then look at current and emerging policies propelling the world in a more authoritarian direction. One of which is a social credit system, implemented in China that will likely spread throughout the world. Under this form of what amounts to control, people must go along with whatever the government has deemed as “socially acceptable” or truth in order to conduct business, participate in activities and more. The concept is straight out of Orwell’s 1984.

The focus then shifts to examining Israel in light of prophecy, including the history of the nation. The recent peace agreements and hostilities of Anti-Semitic terrorist groups shed further light on yet unfulfilled prophecy. I enjoyed the concluding chapters, which focused heavily on Scripture and provide both an explanation for the current climate for Christians in America and foreshadowing for the persecution to come as we get closer to the return of Jesus.

My one criticism is that the chapter on the rapture seems to be out of place. I enjoy studying Revelation and the different views of the rapture- like the authors, I hold a pre-tribulation view, as it’s the conclusion taken from reading the Scriptures literally. I enjoyed this chapter, but am not sure how it’s relevant to the focus of the book, especially when the Bible is clear that no one knows, or should speculate, the hour or the day Christ will return. The authors certainly do not partake in speculation, but rather continue to aim of the book to show where the world is in light of prophecy. I would have rather an entire chapter be structured around something currently occurring in the world, or something that looks to be on the precipice.

Good job of highlighting current events and showing how they connect to the End Times prophecies of the Bible. The authors have collectively written 60+ books and many of them cover other aspects of these prophecies. I am going to buy a copy of this one as a quick reference guide when I'm writing on the subject (they pack a lot into 183 pages, plus 17 pages of reference notes).

Global Reset by Mark Hitchcock & Jeff Kinley was an absolutely wonderful, informative book! I have read several books recently on the subject of the Global Reset or Great Reset, however the fact that this is written from a biblical perspective sets it far above any other book I have read.
As Hitchcock & Kinley cover in-depth the current events, we are watching play out, (pandemics, civil & political unrest, natural disasters, wars and rumors of war etc.), they also remind the reader this should not be new news to any Christian who has studied Bible Prophecy in the books of the Bible such as Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel and Revelation. As always, our Bibles are a very relevant resource to us in daily study.
We also take a look at the nation of Israel in light of recent events and prophecy, where this could all be leading. This book is well thought out and a wonderful resource to navigate these tumultuous times. I plan to share this book with everyone I know so that we can all be armed and informed as we look at what is happening in the world and look to Christ's coming!

I'm giving this 4 stars, mainly because I didn't learn much new. What I did find interesting is that according to the proverbial Doomsday Clock set by scientists after the atomic bomb in the 1940's, we have 100 seconds until we self-destruct. Most people will laugh and not believe these authors. What I say is: you have not been watching or reading the news lately. We are on the precipice of global disaster. I surmise this just from watching mainstream news! Unlike the reader who gave this book 1 star, I did not find any poor advice regarding not wearing masks and dismissing pandemic-related science. Nor was a theocracy ever espoused. We must not have been reading the same book. This book takes a closer look at current trends and world problems and compares them to eschatogical portions of scripture. The two authors both have advanced degrees (masters and doctorate) from Dallas Theological Seminary, which has a solid reputation. The chapter on doctrine of immenence and Rapture of Church was so well explained, it cleared up more than a few cobwebs.

Mark Hitchcock is a prolific author, and I have read other books by him. This book didn't disappoint, it was fantastic!

The global people like the World Economic Forum (in Davos) are trying hard to bring about a one world government, with them in charge. This book discusses their efforts, and how they tie in with the end of times processes as discussed in the Bible in Revelations and other books with eschatological readings.

For Christians, the book shows a bright future as the book has a pre-tribulation rapture position. For people "left behind", times will be grim :-( with the Devil and anti-christ having their way (until God steps back in to have his way, and eventually bringing about a world that should have been from the start if evil had not occurred.

Mark has clearly studied this issues for some time, and has an informative way of writing. Recommended!

The book finishes with an altar call, as all good Christian books should.

A timely book that takes a look at the condition of the world and how it fits with Scriptural prophecies concerning the End of Days. Even those who do not believe in the promise of Christ's return know something is not right. As if there weren't enough signs before, the circumstances caused by the Covid nightmare has certainly made most of us much less trusting of all facets of society: medical, educational, religion, government and business. Many feel hopeless and drained from the ups and downs that we have been through, especially in the past three years. This book is a reminder that, although we do not know the day or the hour of Christ's return, we know He WILL return and that should give us hope in these difficult days.

A Reset of Times

Ever wonder what is happening in our world at large? Not just in our local area, nation or continent but what are the trends globally? “Global Reset” is a well-written, biblically based book that looks at the rise of China and other European Nations that are becoming more involved in the international, socioeconomics and political undercurrents of the world since the Covid epidemic. Mark Hitchcock and Jeff Kinley point to the emergence of Klaus Shwab and the World Economic Forum (WEF) formed in 1971 which is pushing for a one-world government; one-world economic system; and a one-world religion, the precursor to the godless global government of the Anti-Christ during the Tribulation, foretold in the book of Revelations.

The novel strikes at the heart of every believer to hold fast to the peace and hope of their faith and to every non-believer to seek forgiveness and accept the salvation promised by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Informative and utterly riveting the book will open eyes to world events, call believers to put their safekeeping in God’s care, while calling non-believers to open their hearts to Jesus Christ and to begin their walk of faith.

Written by two leading voices in Biblical Prophecy “Global Reset” is a must read.

I would have enjoyed this book more had I read it right after it was written. It speaks often of current events and current trends which have changed greatly 3 years since it was written. Im also not a fan of pointing to "violence and chaos" as a sign of Jesus' return when the world has been arguably more violent throughout most of history.

With that being said, I always love reading books that talk about the soon return of Jesus and it gives a rock solid Gospel message. Its almost impossible to go wrong with those two things.

Global Reset by Mark Hitchcock & Jeff Kinley is a prophetic book about the coming end-times. With everything going on in the world are we in the birthing pains of the Messiah’s coming?

COVID seems to have set events around the world. We see how the government control came down in places we thought had more freedom. The book looks at globalism current events in depth. The worlds economical system is a mess, civil and political unrest. Wars and rumors of war and natural disasters. They look at Israel and how she plays a vital roll with end-time events.

The book goes over the rapture and the second coming. The books lays down current events and how they will lead to the anti-Christ. As Believers I have always felt it is important to understand global events and even boring political stuff. Even if you disagree with some of the insight and views the book is worth the read.

I don’t agree with everything in this book. That is okay because as a lot of the book I felt was pretty good. I have gleaned some interesting insight that made me dig in deeper to God’s word. It’s okays to agree to disagree. The most important thing is to read God’s word and pray. The book ends with a salvation message. Are you ready to meet Jesus? It could be today or tomorrow. We may live to see the end days? I don’t know but we have to be ready. I never let prophecy consume me as I see too much fear in people who get obsessed with it. I just know that the world is getting crazier and that Israel plays an important role in the end times.

The book is well-written and concise. The statements and arguments are well thought out and the justification is well noted. This book has explained the end times in understandable laymen's terms and has laid out how the global changes to create a one-world government are now in effect and being improved for broader usage.
I believe that other Christians and those wanting to understand the upcoming global changes to grasp a fuller understanding.
