She thinks she can escape me, the little human. Ha. Let her run. There are no enemies I will not vanquish in her honor, there are no planets I will not raid in her name, and there is no question that she is, above all else, my Xiveri Mate, my queen, mine to worship…and mine to hunt.

This Xiveri Mates collection features the first three enemies-to-lovers, fated mates alien romances in the series — plus an exclusive, never before released novella. Each novel features a different couple, comes with a guaranteed happily ever after, plenty of steam and includes alien heroes with big…*cough*…personalities as well as strong women of color.

This collection includes:

Taken to Voraxia — Miari and Raku’s story
Taken to Nobu — Kiki and Va’Raku’s story
*Exiled from Nobu, a novella — Lisbel and Jaxal’s story
Taken to Sasor — Mian and Neheyuu’s story
Get lost among the stars today in this Amazon bestselling SciFi romance collection that readers have called "binge-worthy," "addictive" and "what the scifi romance genre has been missing."

A note from the author: This is a darker, action-filled SciFi romance series with bloody battles and spice that also handles sensitive topics like the subjugation of women and past (not seen) SA. All books end in an HEA with women rising in triumph.

I'm rating Exiled from Nobu. I loved it so much. There's something about a grumpy heroine that always makes me love the love story even more. Jaxal had to overcome much to love her.

I stumbled across the Xiveri Mates series awhile back and I'm completely hooked. I was expecting a pretty standard SF Romance with an alien hero and a human heroine. Instead, I found excellent world and society building tucked in amongst the romance. In the first book, Raku was a genuine hero, appalled at the way Miari's colony of humans was abused by one of his under-commanders, and determined to put the colony under his protection and right the wrongs that had been done to them. Miari was a worthy partner and it was great to see her match him in wits and in strength.

The second entry in the series was even stronger than the first, with excellent world building, on the snow planet of Nobu led by its Okkari (leader) Kinan. As a sub-commander of Voraxia, he was present on the human colony moon in the previous book when the Voraxian leader, Raku, found his mate. The Okkari also found his mate at that time in Kiki, a beautiful human woman who was brutally raped in a previous hunt (this happened offscreen and prior to the start of the series but TW for mentions of it) and who now hates all things alien. Cultural misunderstandings abound, but Kinan and Kiki manage to find their way through them to achieve a wonderful pairing. I also appreciated that as a rape survivor, Kiki wasn't magically healed as soon as she met her mate. She had a lot of hatred and fear to work through and let go of, but Kinan constantly celebrated her strength and the fact that she truly had a warrior spirit, and when it was most important, he stepped back and let her take charge of her healing in spite of his overwhelming desire to protect her.

The collection also includes a short novella featuring characters who briefly appeared in Taken to Nobu, and the third novel in the series, Taken to Sasor, which is more of a standalone offshoot to the main series.

I'm pretty sure that at this point, I could write a 5 page essay on all the books I love by Elizabeth Stephens.

Taken to Voraxia was the first book I read by her, and it automatically became a favorite. I am so madly in love with that couple and they are one of my favorite all time couples of all of the books I've read.

I gobbled up Taken to Nobu, and adamantly ranted and raved about the book, and still continue to do so to this day. But because of my love for Taken to Nobu, I wasn't sure how I would feel about Exiled from Nobu.

I hoped it wouldn't be a redemption story. I could understand why Lisbel felt as she did, but I wasn't sure if I could see myself forgiving her actions and falling in love with her in the same way I had the other couples. It turns out, I didn't have to.

Elizabeth didn't sell me a story where I suddenly feel bad for someone who made a wrong choice, or forgive/sympathize with them. She didn't make excuses for their behavior. Instead, she made me fall in love with the way they work as a couple. Jaxal isn't an easy guy and neither is Lisbel. They hate each other for quite some time, but once they're a couple, they work.

They're perfect for one another. Lisbel helps Jaxal to ease some of the hate he's held onto for such a long time, and Jaxal gives Lisbel a way to use her crass personality and ruthless tongue for something better. This is another five star read for me!

I read this via Audible. I am going to be in the minority on this one. I really wanted to like this series, especially since it was 1 credit for 3 books. I think I was generous when I gave it 3 stars. I DNF after the 1st book and barely got through that.

The trigger warning is flat out inadequate.

*****[SPOILERS]*****

Not only is there an off page history of r8pe as disclosed, but the main "romance" is an MMC who terrorizes an underage MFC, returns when she's of age & kidnaps her but she's decides it's love because "it was inevitable." That is not off page abuse. And, nearly every tense moment in the book comes from some type of alien trying to assault, r8pe or gang r8pe the females in the novel. I agree with the commenter who said it was, sadly, trauma p6rn. It really is a shame because the author is POC (vastly underrepresented in the romance genre) and really is quite adept at world creation and storytelling.

Note: many commenters were put off with the talk of "rotations" for age. The aliens mate at 5+ rotations and the humans 7-15 rotations. The author never fully fleshed this concept out but did give a clue. The alien medic said the female alien cycle is 3x per rotation and the human cycle were up to 34. This could suggest that a single rotation is maybe 2.5 to 3 yrs tops. Still a bit gross at the alien lower end, but not nearly as bad as it appears on the surface.

This was a compilation of the connected story’s written so far. The first story takes us to the beginning where it all started. I almost DNFd this story but I was won over. This story got my attention and I loved the world building. I was a bit confused at first with her being a hybrid. The different names and titles was confusing. It did take away from the story for me. I’m glad I didn’t stop reading. Book 2 with Kiki was extremely hot too even though she had past trauma. I love that he was so completely devoted to her. Book 3 with Mian and Neheyuu are my favorite story in the whole series. I love how he shape shifts. I get the whole Game of Thrones vibe. I really have a thing for this hero. He was my favorite kind of over the top, jealous, and possessive. I laughed and cheered on high points in the story. This was so well written. My favorite secondary character is Dandena and Chioma they were both so fierce. I love the overall message of the story. These two were so intense. I was not looking forward to Sveras story with how religious she is. I was pleasantly surprised at the dynamics between her and Krisxox. Those two were hot like fire once they got started. Lisbel and Jaxel were surprisingly hot too. I was impressed with the heroine being alien. I do recommend this series.

Elizabeth Stephens is a new to me author but I have fallen in love with her Xiveri Mates. This collection gives us the first three books in the series as well as a bonus novella and the beginning preview of Book 4. Book 1 is Taken to Voraxia about Miari and Raku. One of the interesting things about this world is that the Xiveri are referred to by their title, and their mate then gets a derivative of that title. As the first book there was a lot of these two getting used to each other and figuring out their connection. And then there was the action and intrigue as well as the xenophobia that was a theme throughout the stories. Book 2 is Taken to Nobu about Kiki and Va’Raku. Kiki has suffered trauma and has become a bada$$. She hates these alien and Va’Raku has a fight on his hands to proves to her he is her mate. The bonus novella is Exiled from Nobu about Lisbel and Jaxal. This is a twist with Lisbel the villainess in the previous story and Jaxal is the human. Book 3 is Taken to Sasar about Mian and Neheyuu. Although I liked this story, it was probably my least favorite as this story wasn't really connected to the first three. Nevertheless, all the stories had great characters and HEA for all.

Trigger warning!!!Contains past references of violence toward women.
What an AWESOME collection!
Sometimes a woman needs someone to protect her and love her for who she is.
Sometimes she needs someone to love her and give her the tools to help her protect herself.
Sometimes a woman just needs to thumb her nose at what life throws at her as say "Woo Hoo I'm still here" and the man besides her to say, "Woo Hoo indeed baby!"
Sometimes a female needs to open her eyes and see whats right in front of her.
All these males are protective, fierce and just plan lovable (but only to their Xiveri mates)
This set is deliciously unputdownable!

Xiveri mates

I love reading stories about fated mates mates n the strong human females who become their objects of attention by bewildered alien shifters. At the beginning, it was hard to picture the universe created by the author.
I truly enjoyed the bonus novella. It was so hilarious, a perfect ending for the box set.

Incredibly well wrotten

Ms. Stephens adds realism to a scifi romance. The descriptors used, the way she has with words... It's something else. I don't normally review books but I had to with this Collection. On to the next set!!

Engaging

The males in this book came in so powerfully or rudely, that I had to read on the find out how the females tamed them. And I wasn't dissappointed. I have to say that my favorite was Kiki. I was so happy that she got to be her own champion.

Wonderful sci-fi POC romance! The world building is incredible, the characters are fully developed, and the stories are compelling. Elizabeth Stephens is among the best sci-fi and romance authors I have ever read!

Listen you have to read this. 4 books, 1 credit and a good time. I was upset the 4th wasn’t about the first main 3 but it was still a good story.
The only reason it’s not 5 is because of how the 4th book dragged. Still worth it.

light read

An easy and fun read. For a book set of 4 the stories do carry some weight. But the tone of voice for pov’s can get a bit whiny. Interesting world building.

This review is solely for the novella included in this online bundle.

I loved it! It was so fun and the characters were great. Definitely worth the extra download and a fun way to wrap up where all the lost babies had gone. I was especially into the MMC who was a mix of like three different kinds of monsters, haha. He was fun to read.

Exiled from Nobu (Xiveri Mates 2,5) - review

I didn't want to read this book and I didn't want to like it either. I didn't like the FMC in the previous book and I certainly did not think I would enjoy her HEA as much as I did.

But that sexy human surely did handle the grumpy alien mate fate handed him well.

Great Omnibus!

So I am writing a universal review for all 9 books in this series. This is one of the best acid I romance series ever. Everyone single full book and the novellas are all five stars. The audiobooks are also so well done! I relished to them all the time. Such as incredibly talented author.
