In a Model Bride, Mac is a friend of Tiff's brother, Nick. They meet when Tiff's family joins Nick in England to meet his fiancee, Cara. Tiff and Mac volunteer with Tiff's family at a homeless shelter on Christmas Day. Mac is sure that Tiffany is only interested in superficial things, and he wants to go back to his photojournalism in a war zone. Tiffany is trying to get her family to see that she's not just an empty-headed girl, but a young woman who knows what she wants and can do a good job. Tiffany grows into her own when she helps the homeless at the shelter, and realizes that God's plan for her may be totally different than what she planned, but she's secure in His care. Mac comes to realize that he needs to put his trust in God, and let God show him his purpose, as Mac hasn't really done that great of a job for himself.

In More Than Friends, Catriona has loved Alistair for years. She went on a mission trip just because he would be on it. Alistair hasn't realized that the woman he loves has been in front of him for years. He fell for her on a mission trip, but she turned away as soon as they got home. Ever since, he's denied his feelings, thinking she wanted to only be friends, and knowing that he wasn't good enough for her. Catriona thinks she has to earn God's approval and grace, and that if Ally knew how much resentment she kept bottled inside, he wouldn't like her, let alone love her. When they spend the day together with her special needs church friends, they open themselves up to learning that God loves them just as they are, that he formed them and knew them before they were born. Will they realize that God has brought them together, or will they let their fears tear them apart?

In A Lesson in Love, Sarah's sure that no man would ever want to marry her, not after he finds out about her secrets. Fraser isn't looking for love. He wants life to be simple and uncomplicated. Until he meets Sarah. The more he spends time with her, the more he wants to get to know her. When Fraser finds out Sarah's secret, he doesn't run. He stays to help. Sarah's sure that he'll run the first chance he gets, and decides she'll push him away. It doesn't work. The more she pushes him away, the more he does to get close. When they both realize that God's plans are not always their plans, and that if they trust Him, He'll see them through, the more they see what's been in front of them all along.

In The Real Thing, Brodie has created a hard shell around himself, especially his heart. Even his family has a hard time getting through it. He's been bullied and hurt too many times to open himself up to anyone again. At least, that's what he thinks! Flynn needs to provide for herself and her daughter since her husband's death. The last thing she wants in her life is another adventure seeking man. When she goes to work for Brodie, she learns that he's not as heartless as he seems. When he figures out her secret, and knows how she feels about his other persona, will the two of them be able to make a future together, or are their secrets going to keep them apart forever??

I received a complimentary copy of the boxed set, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.

A Model Bride - Tiffany and Mac make an interesting couple. Neither wants to be romantically involved but when feelings change things change. My heart hurt for Tiffany - hated that she felt like she had to prove herself. Was a little frustrated with her family and Mac. He is one wounded guy with a heart of gold. Really sweet story.

More Than Friends - Catriona and Alistair have been friends for years. Loved seeing them change into something more. Working together with special needs kids opens more than one of their eyes to the possibilities between them. Love a friends to romance story.

A Lesson in Love - Sarah has secrets. Fraser longs to get past her walls. This one tugs at your heart and shows us how real life is. Of course there is some angst but in the end the guy gets the girl secrets and all.

The Real Thing - Brodie was one interesting man. He was bitter but oh how things changed when he met Flynn and her daughter Logan. Flynn was such a sweet lady with an amazing look on life. Trusting and relying on the Lord were a big part of the book and I loved it. Sparks fly when these two meet some good and some not so good. Really liked watching him change and grow and seeing their love story develop.

I loved these books. My review for the individual books is as follows:

A Model Bride:

I really loved this book. It is a sweet, uplifting, inspirational read, which reminds readers of the need to let go, and let God. I highly recommend this book.

More Than Friends:

This is a really great, clean inspirational read with many lessons for the reader. The most important lesson is seeing yourself as God sees you. I really recommend this book.

A Lesson in Love:

This book is the deepest inspirational read I've read from Autumn. I loved it. It is full of important lessons, with the main one being not giving up in life no matter the circumstance. I highly recommend this book.

The Real Thing:

I absolutely loved this book. It is a great, inspirational page-turner, with wonderful characters, that held my attention from beginning to end. It's Autumn's best book by far, in my opinion.

Really Great Christian Series

These books are about faith and family as much as they are romance. I truly enjoyed this series and getting to know all the Maclean's. I loved each book and highly recommend them. A really great Christain read.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading A Model Bride, so much so that it's one of the few books that I've read more than once. The main characters, Tiffany Gallagher and Mac, are well-developed and easy to relate to. They're not perfect, but work on their issues during the story. They do get their HEA. I love the way that the author, Autumn Macarthur, weaves their faith, struggling that it may be, into the story. Treat yourself to this one!
More Than Friends is a well-written and touching romance. The main characters are well-developed and truly likable, but not perfect. Cat doesn't think that anyone would love her if they knew all about her. Alistair doesn't think he's good enough for Sainted Sister Catriona, even though he'd like to be. Author Autumn Macarthur brings this story to life. The special needs children that Cat and Alistair take for a day at the beach will win your heart. The romance will keep you from closing the book until the end when Cat and Alistair get their HEA.
Autumn Macarthur writes excellent romances that involve the reader's emotions and mind. Sarah and Fraser are teaching together and have lunch together. Things seem to click, but Fraser is unable to get Sarah to agree to anything else. I won't give away the reason for that, but encourage you to get and read this heartfelt romance.
Autumn Macarthur has achieved something that I'd not seen before. She made a physically weak man the hero of a romance book in The Real Thing. I had wondered if it could be done and got my answer after reading this book. Not only could it be done, but it could be done very well. The characters are believable and likable and total opposites in many ways. Flynn is like a ray of sunshine to Brodie's dark and brooding world. I could empathize with Brodie's lack of faith and enjoyed reading about his return to it. The start of the story is very clever, and I absolutely loved the supporting character, Mary Mackay. Every church needs at least one Mary. She added humor as did the Flynn's friend's pet.
I truly enjoyed reading all four of the books in The Macleans boxset and recommend it to clean/wholesome romance readers, Christian romance readers, and lovers of all things Scottish. Autumn Macarthur is definitely an author that I recommend highly, and I will be reading more of her work.
I own the first 3 of the books in this set and read the other through KU.

A Model Bride
Tiffany Gallagher spends the holidays in London and meets Mac wounded photojournalist at a homeless shelter. He takes her to Scotland to experience a real Scottish New Year’s Hogmanay celebration. He uses his camera to get her a modeling job and she sees beyond the broken man. An uplifting story of love and healing.
More than Friends
Catriona Maclean needs help with her beach outing for her church group of disabled children so she asks her friend Alistair Murray. They both have had secret crushes on each other for many years, but Alistair dates a different coworker each week, never going on a second date with anyone. A story of healing and growth in God’s love. A tender story.
A Lesson in Love
Sports teacher Fraser Maclean works with Sarah Browne and would like to date her, but she is very private. She has to learn to share her problems, and he has to learn to be more accepting. They work together on a church project and when he learns her secret about her mother’s health things begin to turn around. The plot includes accepting hard life problems and sharing them and living with unpredictable future.
The Real Thing
I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Brodie Maclean, author was born with disabilities. When his housekeeper goes on vacation, a woman from his parent’s church comes to help out. Flynn Ferguson. She’s bothers him because she is so cheerful, and can’t keep from singing, disturbing his writing. Needing the money, she also agrees to substitute as virtual assistant for her good friend while she is away. She tells the new author about her work for Brodie. In the process they both deceive the other. This book gently addresses the issues disabled people face daily. Great job by Autumn MacArthur.

Wonderful inspirational stores

I think you might like this book – "The Macleans: Four modern faith-filled romances in Scotland" by Autumn

Each book can be read in any order but with the book set you don't have to worry about that. Although the story is about the grown children of a reverend they are just as broken as the rest of us.

Each sibling has their own unique struggle with their faith and how to respond to God's leading through the struggle. There are many scripture references yet they're included in the manner you or I might use them. Many words are Scottish but the author has a glossary at the end of each book.

I really enjoyed each book they were uplifting and encouraged my own faith. Iwill look for more books from this author.

How Do God and Family Help These Siblings Find Their Lifetime 💞?

Being a PK (Preacher's Kid) myself, I think we're under-represented as the Hero or Heroine in Contemporary Christian 📚. PKs are just as human as everyone else. I ❤️ that Awesome, Storyteller, Autumn Macarthur's "The Macleans" Boxset is about 4 adult PKs. I ❤️ that AM presents these unique Siblings realistically, warts & all! I really Enjoyed finding out about Scottish Culture & Traditions from these Novels too. I Highly Recommend You 📖 This Boxset, with these 4, Engrossing, Poignant, Superb, Christian Romances! You won't be disappointed. ❤️📖 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Liked all except one

These weren't the best romances, but they were okay except for Cat's romance. It was nothing but the same two people thinking the same things 50 times throughout the story. There really was no story. One day on beach where nothing happened except for one small incident.
The other stories were better. Colin's & Brodie's were the best. There was enough of a real story behind each of these romances to enjoy. Fraser's was fair with Sarah's mom having Alzheimer's & the sensory garden. All were quick reads but had a good spiritual message.

So deliciously life affirming!

These 4 books were such a joy to read. From Mac and Tiffany's sweet romance, to Cat and Alistair's kindness and love, to Fraser and Sarah's romance, and finally to Flynn and Brodie's journey to love and adventure. Throughout, I was enthralled, enmeshed in their beautiful stories. I need to look for more books by Autumn MacArthur. We could all use more joy and hope these days.

This is a series about the Maclean siblings. Each book tells of a different sibling, their occupation and how they meet the person they are meant to be with. These are clean Christian romances with wonderful happy-ever-after endings. I highly recommend this series for all ages.
I was given an ARC of this series from the author. All comments and opinions are mine, given voluntarily.

I enjoyed a second reading of this series. I had read the books as they when they were originally published but I like to binge read a series and this was the perfect way. The Macleans are an interesting family and Autumn Macarthur really brings each of them to life. Having a handicapped sibling I can relate to the interactions between Brodie and his able-bodies siblings. I could relate to each of them and loved the understanding the author shows in these books.

Enjoyable clean romances

I've read few UK romances. And I adore a Scottish tale. This set of stories is a wonderful combination. Although these are clean wholesome romances the storylines go far deeper and inspires the reader to take a look at their own heart and life struggles through the eyes of faith.

I loved reading about all four siblings and their journeys. My favorite thing is the life-changing power of Jesus to people that had never known it before. Very well done!

good books

This series of books were very good and interesting. They held your interest and attention all the way through. There’s laughter, sadness, light romance and realization in the stories. They could all be true stories of someone’s life.

Terrific!

This was such a great story. I really enjoyed it. The plot was different and the characters were so real. I also liked the “interconnectedness” so I could visit with characters from the previous books.
