My name is Simon Jackson, former soldier in the Elynese Special Forces and current fixer for mob boss Krahmin the voidtouched.
Myan Station is my home. Dwarves, goblins, gnomes, grays, fey, even humans make up the melting pot that is Myan Station.
When Malak the half-ork and I stole an ancient starship, we set off a chain of events that could spell the end of Myan Station.
We’ve got space elves, gnome tinkerers, and goblin maniacs all looking to hunt down the starship and its mysterious key. And they’re willing to raze Myan Station to get their prize.
Except I’m not willing to let my home fall to these jokers. Alongside my beautiful half-orc companion Fiona, and with new additions along the way, we’re going to keep Myan Station safe.
I've consumed very little of the direct-to-kindle exploitation genre, but I thought I would dip my toes into the water with this series. I find myself much more interested in the idea of this as a product than I am in the actual story. It's got some sci fi genre tropes, it's got some high fantasy genre tropes: the familiar milieu. It's got more action than I would expect from erotica and more steamy fade-to-black than things that are typically pitched to a broader audience. Maybe the Amazon algorithm allows books to be written in niches like this and cultivate an audience? I mean, there are 2 sequels, after all, so far be it from me to doubt the success of the concept.
For good or ill, it reminds me more than anything of some of the recent Star Wars tie-in novels (which I've all but sworn off for a variety of reasons). It's book-as-theme-park-attraction. Climb on board, take a tour through the thrills and spills, a character that you think you might have seen in a movie once performs some dialog, and before you know it, you're back at the station ready to give the sequel a whirl.
The blend of science fiction with fantasy is just the right amount of crazy and ingenious mixed together to create a truely amazing and fascinating universe to explore.
And book one has only given a glimpse of the wider universe that remains to be explored.
With unique and interesting characters, each with their own stories and backgrounds, reading this book was a blast
Interesting first book. The MC and his gals were enjoyable and the fight scenes were interesting as well. The only thing I could say I complain about is the way you tried to explain the background of this universe, which was all over the place and sometimes felt confusing. And the book became somewhat slow during the middle of it.
Either way, I enjoyed it and looking forward to the second book when it comes out.
This was a really fun start to a new series. Reminds me of some of the old sci fi that I used to watch when I was younger. It's really good. I'm looking forward to the next one.
And then you have to figure it all out. A good beginning to what reads to be a fun ride. Friends old and new together, fun MC, sexy and fun supporting characters. Appears to be a good time for all. Can't wait for the next book.
It's like sci-fi and fantasy had a baby. Great characters with realistic situations and lots of action. I look forward to more from this series. Well worth the read.
I haven't read a good space fare in a while, but this book surely is. With the harem qualities thrown in I couldn't put it down. I'm going right in to the next one. Keep them coming.
Gritty, probably realistic to the way things might turn out in space. Reminded me of The Expanse - the haves and the have-nots and the power plays against the weaker people. Interesting hero just finding his feet. Enjoyed
I’m a huge fan of space and Sci/Fi books. This one hit all the points and it’s just the beginning. I hope the authors stick with this series and put out more books for this series. Outstanding!!!
Isn't Star dust runner the name of his old criminal crew? Will we get to see the other girls? Can the Angelica fly? Wings right! Will they be legit or not?
An exceptional science fiction story and beginning for a new series!!! As always great adult fantasy activities, wonderful characters and adventure!!! I for one can't wait to see what happens next!!!!
