It's been ten years since Hannah Farley spent any time at her family's Californian vacation home, but now that her parents have retired to Portugal, Hannah's there to help them decide what they should do with it. Sell it? Rent it out?
But Hannah can't seem to keep herself from wondering if the woman who used to live next door still called that beach house home.
At 31, Hannah should have forgotten about her crush from all those years ago, but all it takes is one glance at Tracy Stuart, and it's very clear to Hannah that her crush is alive and well.
And Tracy is as beautiful as ever.Hannah didn't know if Tracy was even gay never mind if she had a chance with her, but there was no way she was leaving without finding out.Steamy Age Gap Lesbian Romance
Nice novella of an age gap romance ten years in the making. Hannah's parents own a holiday home on the beach in San Clemente, next door to Tracy, who owns a bar with her best friend close by. Ten years previously Hannah had a crush on Tracy, but their age gap was a non starter. Not anymore. Nicely done.
Another quick, sweet, and steamy read by Carol Wyatt. I liked this one quite a bit, I really liked Hannah and Tracy and would have enjoyed a longer story with a bit more depth. For such a short read, it was well-written and enjoyable (the steamy scenes were great!).
I would recommend this one if you're looking for a quick, low-drama, high-steam read.
Triple S!! Short-Summer-Story! And it includes several age-gap couples around the main story. This is a fun read for when you are waiting in line to get your first drink at the coffee shop or while laid on the beach during a sunny afternoon so manage your expectations.
Would I like to know more about what happened after the end? Yes, but it will lose the purpose of this type of novellas of Carol Wyatt.
I loved Hannah, she’s my type. There’s a lot of internal monologue and I appreciate that in short stories because it allows you to understand the background faster and better and you connect smoothly with the plot.
I just love the Age Gap Genre and Carol Wyatt represents it well. This story had sweet and tender and flirting all over it. Hannah has had a crush on her neighbor Tracy for as long as she can remember but it has been ten years since she was at her family’s beach house. But now she is back. Tracy who is fourteen years older than Hannah, remembers the last time Hannah was here and what she said to her drunkenly. But Tracy was going through a bad time and Hannah at 21 was too drunk to know what she was saying. So she made sure she got home safely and left her on the lounger on her deck sleeping. Never to see her again. Now she was back and Tracy knew that she couldn’t let anything happen even if Hannah still felt the same way. But love has a funny way of showing itself if you are open to it. Great read, it made me feel happy inside…..
Carol Wyatt is really a perfect read for when I need a palate cleanser, or something quick and easy to get me through bad reading days. If you like low conflict, low drama romance with no third act break-up, you will like this novella (I think it's a novella, it's pretty short).
Wow fantastic storyline I loved the main characters chemistry it shone through the book seamlessly the tough decision to risk your heart was incredibly written congratulations
Hannah returns to her parents’ vacation beach house after years of being away to help them to decide to keep or sell it, but the real unfinished business involves Tracy, the beautiful next door neighbor Hannah has had a crush on for ages.
Summer Days is a light, fun beachside romance that plays with the tantalizing question: what if the person you’ve always dreamed of from afar isn’t as unattainable as you thought? Hannah and Tracy’s mutual attraction is scintillating from the moment they reconnect, but their courage to pursue it seems to ebb and flow like the nearby ocean tides. Fortunately, they have plenty of friendly pressure from their charming and funny sidekicks, Erin and Breanna, to help them overcome their misgivings.
These entertaining characters with their unique occupations, a coastal setting that comes to life on the page, and an enthralling romance make this sapphic story a perfect read for a lazy summer day.
It's just amazing how some authors can pack an entire complete story in such a short book. This is one book that has so much packed in a quick read! It's perfect for breaking the spell between a longer book you just read and the next one you're going to read. I love doing that and this one is perfect. It doesn't feel rushed or short or incomplete. It's a full story without too much peripheral stuff going on. It's perfect.
4 stars. A soft and lovely age gap romance. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hannah and Tracy haven’t seen each other in ten years. They used to be neighbors and Tracy is older than Hannah and has some hang ups about that while Hannah feels like Tracy is out of her league. It was wonderful watching them work through their own issues to be together because they had really great chemistry. I loved their romance. Some of the side characters were also wonderful and really rounded this story out. It was just a nice and quick read.
I have read everything that this author has written. She tells amazing stories and the chemistry between the characters is always off the charts. This one was no exception. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was too short. I wanted more...
I am a hug fan of Carol Wyatt her stories are always so wonderful to read, the characters have so much chemistry and I love the age gap challenge. I wanted to give 5 stars but the story felt short towards the end as I wanted a bit more.
Carol Wyatt’s books are excellent quick reads. Great character development without excessive inner monologue. I have read several of her books and would highly recommend them all.
