The end game approaches, and I’m in a three-way race against a psychotic goddess and the most powerful necromancer who’s ever lived.
There is only one general left, and both Reverkar, King of the Dwarves, and the Bitch Goddess want to find him first. If either of them wins, it means the end of the world.
But my wives and I aren’t about to let them win without a fight. We’ll battle against zombies, brainwashed slayers, and horrors untold as we journey across Amalgam in our effort to stop them. Our quest will take us into haunted mountains, desolate cities, and corrupted swamps in order to prevent the destruction of everything we love.
This time I will save Sarah from the Bitch’s clutches, no matter what.
This novel is not appropriate for all ages; it contains descriptions of violence, unconventional relationships, and limitless adventure.
As no surprise a very well written and edited adult fantasy series that needs to be read!!!! What a wonderful world the author has built for us the reader to allow our imagination to run wild in!!!! If it wasn't for the fact I know the next stories this author will write will be so good I'd be sad to see this end!!!!
I enjoyed reading this book. This series has been a blast so far. I'm really looking forward to its conclusion. The story and characters were interesting and engaging. This book and series are totally worth checking out.
Mal, his wives, and his friends continue their quest to defeat the bitch goddess and make their world safe. Before they can confront her directly they have to deal with the last two of her generals. One, the undead dwarf king, has taken control of the other and turned him into a weapon. The dwarf king, who is absolutely not a nice person, intends to use the weapon to destroy all life in the world. As with all Thorne’s I DON’T WANT TO BE A HERO series, there is plenty of action, a little sex, and a healthy dose of tongue in cheek humor.
Really starting to be ready for this series to conclude.
I loved the start a ton, and I want to finish it, but it's starting to drag, and I struggled to finish this book. Not that it was bad, it's just getting a little tedious, with the awesome story beats seperated by a lot of a somewhat repetitiver slog.
I feel like this entire series could be edited down to maybe 4 amazing books, but instead has been stretched out too far.
