i thought i’ve seen unhinged but then i come across characters like Caesar and Ilay (Passion) who make me rethink everything i’ve known. they’re a different level of unhinged and i’m just- i need more characters like them tbh. 😭
but anyways, omfg i loved both Caesar and Leewon so much. i loved how Leewon wasn’t afraid to stand up to Caesar and he was such a cutie (i get why Caesar was whipped) lol. they also had cute moments that had me giggling and their banters were so fun!! sure, certain things (in the middle of the story) had me side eyeing stuff but then i remembered Caesar . i was originally gonna rate this a 4, but i feel like it deserves 4.5 stars from me bc of how invested i got with these two. :’)

It paints itself like a romance... THIS IS NOT A FUCKING ROMANCE.
Caesar is a fucking dickwad, the plot twists aren't twists they are poorly planned turns, the mc is infantilized so much.
Like I did not need to see Lee won (I think that's his same I don't remember) get sexually assaulted for 2 seasons straight. Caesar has no redeemable qualities. They try to paint it like Caesar cares about Lee won when EVERY SINGLE GOD DAMN ACTION HE TAKES HURTS HIM MORE. The only times when he impacted Lee won positively was by "protecting" him. Aka painting Lee won as somebody who needs to be protected, infantilizing him even further. The whole thing was basically "let's fetishize mlm relationships cuz rape is hot."
It was so wildly out there too. Like YEAH Caesar just casually kills kids for fun, and OH his cousin wants to f him. OHHH let's make his dick 8 fucking feet long cuz why not!

The ending was such a disappointment. Everything was going well until Ceaser fucking kidnapped Leewon and has sex with him unconscious (sometimes barely conscious but not conscious enough to consent) for 10 fucking days. And we’re supposed to believe that about 4 chapters later, he forgave Ceaser and is head over heels???
Make it make sense ffs. So disappointing, there was so much potential as well. The creator is fucked up for this and it took Ceaser saying 1 sorry for Leewon to cave. He didn’t even apologise on his on, Leewon asked for an apology.
He shot Leewon twice and raped him when he was unconscious but don’t worry guys one sorry will be fine. What a joke. At least make it make sense in the world.

I read the manga. I liked it, the story was complexed, characters had personalities, but it was brutal on certain moments. Tsar is as wild as the gangster are, so honestly can't blame his characters for what he did. The story made me feel things. The art style is also quite good.

Jung Leewon is a Korean-Russian lawyer currently living in Russia, who runs into the mobster Caesar Sergeyev one day while dashing to work. A chance meeting piques Caesar’s interest, but Jung doesn’t spare him a thought. However, the mafia and a dirty politician are interested in a factory building which is the core of Jung’s current case. Caesar is involved to get it to go through, and learns that Jung is this lawyer causing the problem. Obviously, these two come into conflict. The only problem is, Caesar wants to tame Jung while Jung genuinely wants to win this case.
Caesar is an asshole, for sure, and throws his power around. Honestly though, sometimes he just reminded me of a puppy the way he kept follow Jung around and wanting to get his attention. All his tricks and romancing amused me, although you obviously can’t ignore the fucked up shit he did to Jung and others as well.
I like Jung. He is a strong character, and clearly values his work enough to go as far as he does and sticks to a personal code. Over the course of that story things will change — and yes, he sometimes makes some stupid mistakes — but I like that he isn’t submissive. Him and Caesar’s dynamic is quite entertaining, and overall I’m a fan of it. And I have to ask how the hell that fit inside Jung.
Overall, if you like a dark romance I think you should definitely read this! Plot twists and issues are handled nicely and they do get their HEA. I am enjoying the side stories as well. The art is very pretty too!

oh, this is DEFINITELY a new favorite. top-tier quality writing, bro!!! i’m loving this dynamic, too. honestly, i expected a lot more violence. and toxicity. it’s surprisingly wholesome, actually. never thought i’d say that, lol. in any case, i’m absolutely OBSESSED!!! reading this was a great decision.

well, i kinda feel the need to recant some of that previous statement ‘cause shit just got ROUGH!!! i guess all is ‘technically’ well and right in the world again, but omfg… that was BRUTAL. at least they’ve seemingly ‘forgiven’ each other, so i see no reason to sulk about it. still ship them, ngl. (i know, but i really do like their chemistry!!!) you guys, just learn to freakin’ COMMUNICATE so that something like this won’t ever happen again, goddammit!!

whenever i rate something, i do so based on how invested i become in a story. i judge the art, the characters’ expressions, their individuality, my emotional responses to their actions, etc. i don’t really mind dark and twisted romances as long as the story’s well-written enough, and to me, it absolutely was! ‘pleasantly surprised’, i believe the term is. and i’m not talking about the EXTREMELY toxic bits… ‘cause that was uncomfortable to read. i’m talking about the general atmosphere, and i found it quite intriguing, honestly.
HOWEVER!!! i’ll admit, seeing some of the other reviews is low-key making me question my soon-to-be nonexistent sanity (lol), but i said what i said. i really liked it. it’s not like i expected things to be 100% healthy and inspirational given that this is an ACTUAL mafia romance (?) type plot. still, i won’t claim to regret my previous statements. i truly did enjoy myself… well, most of the time, anyway. (i’m guessing that other readers will, most likely, understand what i’m referring to.) either way, i found their dynamic really interesting and unique—which is DEFINITELY not something i expected. i thought i’d be basic as fuuuck. nonetheless. it was surprisingly amusing watching my them interact! and, overall, i’m generally pleased with the final outcome.
in any case, i’ll be looking forward to the side stories that are yet to be illustrated! (‘roses and kiss’, i think it’ll be called.) can’t wait to see what’ll happen the next time around, lol.

Creo que aún está en actualización, de igual forma me gustó muchísimo, el plot twist es muy bueno y me mantuvo enganchada.
Se me hace que Lee Won va a desarrollar el Síndrome de Estocolmo, quizá no sé. Obviamente el Caesar se obsesionó con el y sumándole que el man está bien jodido no creo que el manhwa termine bien. Desde el principio Dimitri me daba mala espina.
Lo recomiendo, igual considero que es un poco intenso en algunas escenas.
¹ACTUALIZACIÓN: ¿Será cierto que Caesar está muerto o solo es un plan? Como sea está bien bueno el manhwa. Dimitri está demente.
²ACTUALIZACIÓN: Según algunos comentarios que he leído, Caesar no está muerto y solo es un plan que hizo junto con Dimitri para desenmascarar a los traidores. No sé.
Por otro lado creo que sí acerté en que Lee Won se iba a quedar enganchado con Caesar, el man entró en crisis llorando cuando se enteró de su supuesta muerte. Ya veremos.

I'm guessing all the bad reviews are people who are not familiar with many mafia Manhwa plots. This was basically the quality content I was looking for. The ending was a bit abrupt and didn't really tie anything up. Guess I'm waiting for an epilogue. Caesar is morally black. I love a psychopath who doesn't understand why he can't just kill people.

I knew what I was getting myself into, and I started this out of curiosity knowing that I'll probably drop it pretty fast, but I genuinely LOVED this so much, I was giggling and kicking my feet at how cute this is
yes, Caesar is a gangster and a bloody murderer but he was always so affectionate and gentle towards Leewon, for it to just randomly go downhill??????? not only did he shoot Leewon, but he fucking raped him, for 10 fucking days and guess what, Leewon forgave him after 2 chapters WHAT THE FUCK
the abuse would've been much more believable if Caesar were like Ilay or Zhenya from the very beginning, but he wasn't, he was actually pretty sweet, and sarcastic and a little bit manipulative and obsessed, but I didn't mind that, and he was starting to fall in love with Leewon, and up to that point it could've only become even more romantic, but no it turned into a shitshow, I'm so mad, I'm mad because I enjoyed it so much up to the 40th chapter

Ufff está historia es un drama cruel y frío como un invierno blanco, simplemente me ha encantado, aunque admito que también sufrí y putee demasiado al Zar, sobretodo en aquel momento crucial de intimidad, aún así la historia me dejó satisfecha y feliz con la pareja.

Ufff está historia es un drama cruel y frío como un invierno blanco, simplemente me ha encantado, aunque admito que también sufrí y putee demasiado al Zar, sobretodo en aquel momento crucial de intimidad, aún así la historia me dejó satisfecha y feliz con la pareja.

es una historia toxica y eso esta claro por varios acontecimientos de la obra y no lo voy a negar aún así me gusta mucho, Aunque hay que aclarar que todo sucede muy rapido y algunas cosas quedan muy flojas y sin mucho sentido ahora que le vuelvo a dar una re lectura.
Si te gusta los libros con mafiosos o cosas toxicas, tambien simplemente porque quieres leer algo subido de tono con un buen estilo de dibujo pues...leelo :).
no tengo mucho que decir cuando suban mis extras volvere a hacer una re lectura.

What did I just read. It is definitely a mafia romance, major trigger warnings.. Caesar is insane and straight up shot him twice so he wouldn't leave Russia then did awful things to him in recovery. Maybe I am insane but I loved this story? Art is gorg and the hunt/game was my favoriteeeeee, they are both so psychotic.
