I should’ve slammed the door in his smug, gorgeous face. Instead, I make a deal with the devil… My ex-boyfriend.
Quinn ditched me to make it big in Hollywood years ago. I tried to move on. Never watched his hit TV show. Avoided celebrity gossip like the plague. I almost forgot I ever loved him... Until he shows up asking for a favor.
His bad boy reputation got him in trouble, and only one person can save his career. Me. The small town girl he left behind.
If I play his loving fiancée for six weeks, He’ll bail me out of financial ruin. So I wear his ring and smile for the cameras. Even though I hate him for breaking my heart.
Then he does the cruelest thing of all. The jerk makes me fall for him again.
Quinn says he wants me for real. But is he just acting?
The Fiancé Deal is a standalone romance set in Full Bloom, Vermont. No cheating or cliffhangers. Happily ever after guaranteed!
This is a standalone romance set in a small town in Vermont. No cheating or cliffhangers and a great HEA. Quinn was a famous movie star who broke Marci's heart in high school. He left her behind when he went to Hollywood to achieve stardom. Years later he gets into a career ending situation. Desperate to salvage his reputation he starts talking about his childhood sweetheart to give the reporters something else to talk about. He talks her into being his 'fake' fiance. And you know what they say about fake becoming real. Do old feelings begin to surface? Are they able to go back and rekindle and rediscover their past love? The story line was engaging and the characters were well developed. The author did a great job with this book and it's one you don't want to miss. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Quinn is an actor. His manager Harry brought cocaine on a yacht they were sailing around with women, the police raided the yacht. Quinn had no idea that Harry had the cocaine. Now Quinn is having problems with his public image and he is holding a press conference. His agent Marci wants Quinn to tell the press that he will be going to rehab but Quinn doesn’t use drugs and he wants to tell the truth. Quinn has a movie premiere coming up in a couple months so he needs to have a good image. As Quinn is answering questions he ends up blurting that he has always only loved his high school sweetheart. Hazel lives in Full Bloom, Vermont. She owns and runs the Wildflour Bakery. Hazel and Quinn were high school sweethearts and they had plans for the future. After Quinn graduated and turned 18 he left Full Bloom and Hazel behind to become an actor. Originally Hazel was going to move to LA after she graduated the next year but Quinn ended up breaking her heart. It has been 12 years since Quinn has been back to Full Bloom. Hazel lives with her Gram and they are struggling a little while Gram is going through cancer. Gram took Hazel in when her parents were killed in a car accident. When Quinn goes to see Hazel he realizes that the house is in bad shape. Quinn makes a deal with Hazel that he will fix up her house and help with Gram anyway he can if she will be his fake fiancée. Will Quinn realize that he truly loves Hazel? Will Hazel risk her heart to be with Quinn again? Will Gram get to ring the bell after her cancer treatments? Will Hazel go with Quinn to the premier? Will Hazel fit in in LA? Will Quinn and Hazel finally find their true love and happiness in Full Bloom? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Quinn & Hazel were dating while in school, promising of the perfect future together. Shortly after graduating, he leaves for LA, leaving Hazel with a broken heart. Quinn struggled for years before hitting stardom so when he returns to small town Full Bloom, expecting a warm welcome from her, she's very suspicious & guarded. He left once already but if she opens her heart to him a second time & he leaves again, her heart will be destroyed. He proposes she pretends to be his fiancee for 6 weeks & he'll repair Gram's house. Each week their feelings resurface, stronger than ever. Quinn does all of the right things to convince her she's always been in his heart. It feels so real again but the end date is approaching. Neither wants to talk about the past until the movie premiere when things come to a head.
An emotional & difficult decision has to be made on whether he returns to being a movie star in Hollywood & she returns to owning her own bakery in their home town; continue with a long distance relationship; one gives up their dream & moves to the same location to have a HEA or can these two people who are deeply in love, compromise & meet halfway?
A really good story to read, even though they should have communicated sooner & get rid of the elephant in the room but what is the fun in that? More fun for them to avoid it & continue where they left off once he graduated.

This was a very satisfying small-town romance book with a wonderful HEA! After many years starring on a tv show and playing other roles, Quinn gets caught up in a drug scandal. Despite being innocent, his reputation is trashed. He finds himself mentioning his high school girlfriend to the press, which sets off the paparazzi. Quinn finds himself being drawn back to the small town of Full Bloom in Vermont where he grew up. He wants to warn his former girlfriend about the tsunami of attention that she will be receiving, but the small town might also be a good place to see what happens to his career. Hazel’s roots in their town have grown deeper over the years since Quinn left for Los Angeles to pursue acting. She’s taken over her beloved grandmother's bakery while also taking care of her grandmother during a battle with cancer. Hazel has never forgotten her heartache when Quinn abandoned their teenage love for an acting career. Hazel and Quinn agree to enter into a fake temporary engagement to help redeem Quinn’s reputation, in exchange for Quinn paying for urgent repairs to Hazel’s grandmother’s house. Quinn and Hazel rediscover their love, share heat, and work through various issues on their way to a HEA. (There is also a cast of other interesting characters, including Hazel’s grandmother, her friends, the bakery’s employee, Quinn’s agent, his parents and others.) Highly recommended! Quinn Stryker and Hazel Gibson had been high school sweethearts with plans for a future together. But at 18, Quinn took off for Hollywood and left Hazel behind. Quinn was very successful, but an incident when his manager sneaked dangerous drugs on board the yacht they partied on threatened to destroy Quinn’s reputation and career. Quinn hadn’t even known the drugs were brought onboard and, since he didn’t use drugs, he refused his agent’s advice to just say he was going to rehab for treatment. With his show’s contract up for renegotiation and his first (and now maybe last) movie premiere coming up in six weeks, everything depended on how he handled this press conference.
The reporters were not listening to his denial of the drugs and his playboy behavior. His mind turned to better times, and to move the attention elsewhere with the reporters, Quinn mentioned the childhood small town sweetheart he left behind, “the only woman he ever loved”. Then he went back to his hometown to offer her a deal. He wanted her to pose as his fiancée for 6 weeks and he would fix up her grandmother’s dilapidated house and help with her medical needs. She makes him add on that they never see each other again after the 6 weeks. But will their spending time together again start to heal the past pain? Will they want a second chance to make things right? Or will they stubbornly fight a relationship that could be devastating if it failed this time?
Quinn is the "troubled" actor that needs to do some damage control after there were drugs found on one of his vehicles. Hazel, Quinn's high school sweetheart. Quinn is known as a player and Hazel is the girl next door type of woman. He's never really got over her and she thought she was over him. There are some curse words (F***, D***, S***, etc). There are also vulgar words (pr***, c*c*). There are some situations that aren't suitable for young readers. The main characters, Quinn and Hazel, have a sexual tension between the two of them that just paints a bigger picture of just how big of an attraction there is between the two. Then there is Gram who is battling an illness, and Hazel has so much on her plate. The story is about Hazel and Quinn becoming engaged because of something he said and whether it's just for the publicity or is it something that becomes more real? There are people who are against and for their relationship. I am still reading but don't want to give more away. There are some situations where there is the detail of their indiscretions. Use caution when finding something for moving forward with this book.

Quinn Stryker is a Hollywood biggie. His career takes a hit after an incident on his boat. In process of cleaning up his image for upcoming projects he makes a deal with his ex-highschool sweetheart Hazel.
😊What i liked -
✔Second Chance/Fake Dating/Small town. ✔I liked the Chemistry between Quinn and Hazel. ✔Instant attraction is shown but I liked how the author took her time to get them together romantically. ✔It's witty, emotional And oh so slow burn spicy. ✔The author very subtly introduces two new maybe/to be couple's in this book ✔Even though Quinn and Hazel were a treat, but the character who stole the show for me was Grams and to a level Oliver. ✔Loved the comfort and the banter between Quinn and Grams / Quinn and Oliver.
🤔What could have been better -
✔Uhhhhh if Everett and Dahlia's story was added in this book itself (a girl can always dream 🙈🙈)
📚Who Should read : 👶Begginers 💞Romance lover's 💘Second Chance trope 💕Fake Dating trope
📈My Rating : 4.5/5
P.s : Am so looking forward to Everett and Dahlia's story, for that matter looking forward to Sawyer and Linden (I hope) also.
I absolutely loved this book! Crystal did a fantastic job telling Quinn and Hazel's story. It was so relatable.
Hazel and Quinn were high school sweethearts who had a whole future planned but something got in their way. 12 years layer, he needs her help. What she doesn't realize is, she needs his too.
The love that is between these two characters is evident right from the start. If only they could admit it to themselves and eachother. As the saying goes, once bitten, twice shy. Neither one seems brave enough to tell the other their true feeling in fear of getting their heats broken...again.
After a fun and sex filled 6 weeks, will they be able to merge their very different lives and find common ground in the name of love? Can they make it work? Will they have to sacrifice everything they've each worked so hard for to finally have their HEA?
Since I hate spoilers, you'll just have to pick this up and read it for yourself. Believe me, you won't be sorry. It was such a great read, I didn't want it to put it down. Quick, go grab it and fall innlove with Quinn and Hazel just like I did.
This sweet steamy story about Quinn and Hazel kept my interest throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
Quinn and Hazel were boyfriend and girlfriend twelve years previous to this story happening. When Quinn left school at 18, he went to LA to become a movie actor, leaving Hazel behind. Hazel was supposed to join him, but he broke up with her, thus breaking her heart.
Twelve years later he found himself in trouble and returned to the small town of Full Bloom to ask Hazel if she would pretend to be his fiance for six weeks. In return, he would have her grandmother's house repaired.
Hazel agreed, but they both found that they wanted the fake engagement to become real.
Quinn enjoyed being in Full Bloom.
Then everything fell to pieces again and it looked like both Quinn and Hazel would be living apart.
If you want to know how it ends then you will have to read it for yourself.
I loved this story and loved the ending.

An adorable second-chance romance between two high school sweethearts who split up 12 years prior and finally have a chance to make things right. Quinn has made it big in Hollywood but gets into trouble with his manager and needs a way to clean up his act. During a press conference he lets it slip that he's only ever loved one girl, Hazel. He flies back to Vermont to get the girl and proposes a fake engagement for 6 weeks to clean up his image in the public eye. What starts as fake turns real very quickly. However, because these two are stubborn as can be and refuse to discuss their feelings they almost lose out on their chance at a happy ending. Thankfully Quinn realizes it before he loses Hazel for a second time and begs her to accept him for real and forever. A great story with lots of steamy bedroom time and a great supporting cast. You'll love Gram, Jessa, Linden, Everett and Sawyer supporting these two lovebirds as they navigate their relationship ups and downs.

It’s not often that a second chance romance takes place when the protagonists are still in their 20’s, however this one does. Quinn Stryker and Hazel Gibson were high school sweethearts. When Quinn graduated high school he left for Hollywood with plans to send for Hazel in a few weeks when he became famous. Instead he sent a Dear Jane letter. Twelve years later Quinn has attained fame and fortune and landed in the middle of a PR scandal. He decides the best thing to do is declare his love for Hazel in a press conference and heads home to Full Bloom, Vermont to win her back. Quinn convinces Hazel to pretend to be his fiancé to help clean up image. Hazel agrees to do it in exchange for some financial help with her cancer-stricken grandmother. As the two get close again, they are faced with the problem that his life is in California and hers is in Vermont. Who will give up their career or can they find a compromise?
This was an enjoyable story. Quinn and Hazel were likable characters, as were the supporting characters. There were enough of these characters for three or four more stories. I hope to read some in the future.
I received this story in exchange for an honest review.
Small town appeal vs LA glitz & glam The Fiancé Deal: A Small Town Romance by Crystal Monroe is a second chance, enemies to lovers romance. A reunited Quinn and Hazel is not the only battle raging. Each of these characters is at war within themselves, each other as well as the small town vs glitz and glam. Quinn is all for a quick stop in his home town and Hazel would have preferred he never uttered her name. I do enjoy a second chance romance and in my opinion, Quinn has a lot of making up to Hazel to do. Some of his choices seem mean spirited, however, as their story progresses, it seems as though the fame, fortune, glitz and glam of LA just made him rather oblivious. Hazel is a string female lead character and doesn’t hold back her contempt! Overall, Quinn and Hazel learn, discover and grow enough to be open to possibilities for a tailor made HEA. The Right Time For Their Forever - Quinn inadvertently reveals details about his ex-girlfriend during a press conference and turns her quiet life upside down. He makes Hazel an offer that benefits them both, but their relationship became complicated, when spending time together rekindled their past feelings. Unfortunately, there were stumbling blocks in their path the happiness and not everyone was happy with their reunion, but Quinn realised after a while that he couldn’t live without Hazel.
I was hooked on the story right from the start and my attention didn’t diminish all the way through, until the end. This is a well written, second chance romance, with emotional ups and downs, love and a bit of drama, that culminated in an entertaining read. I look forward to reading more stories written by Crystal Monroe. This book deserves a high recommendation.

This story was very touching, emotional and makes looking back to realize what could have been should have been. Hazel kept walls up most of the time around possibly of love but she only ever loved one man, Quinn, but 12 years ago the 18 year old boy up and left everything and one behind including Hazel. They dated in high school for 3 years but one week after being in Los Angels he ghosted her and their love, making Hazel bitter and broken. While Quinn a big action live it up in LA with the celebrities, the fun and the women so he never looked back until his butt was in trouble with drugs… then his mouth just said things to make his image look good and his actions back in his home town. Was it all fake for the press or was their old love going to be playing a big part of their lives again???
Quinn has made a mess of his career and needs to find a way to fix it. After mentioning his high-school sweetheart in a press conference, he ends up back in his home town asking his ex Hazel to help him out. Hazel has never gotten over Quinn hurting her years ago when he left for LA without her and forgot about her. He convinces her to help him in exchange for fixing up her Grandmothers house, but she is determined not to fall for his charms again. But what Hazel doesn't realise is that Quinn has never forgotten about Hazel and wishes he could have her back again. Will Hazel give him another chance or will she be too afraid to risk her heart with him again.
I enjoyed this book and would recommend reading it.

Good second-chance romance. I really enjoyed this story of college sweethearts, Hazel & Quinn reunited to ‘save’ Quinn’s career. I loved the way the story opens with the possible destruction of his reputation leading him to panic and declare his love for his first girlfriend, Hazel in front of a press conference. Hazel’s reaction to his overtures, when he returns to Vermont to seek her help, are predictable. The reader can empathise with her mixed feelings as he asks for her help to restore his image. The evident shallowness of Quinn’s life in Hollywood is offset against the background of the small town that both of them grew up in. Throw in Hazel’s adorable granny and Quinn’s snobby parents and you have all the elements of an engaging romance. I will definitely be watching out for the others in the series as there are a couple of future romances hinted at in this story.
5 Stars I received a free copy of the steamy second chance romance The Fake Fiancé: A Small Town Romance Book one by Crystal Monroe and this review is given freely. I especially enjoyed Gram’s character! This story is well-rounded, emotional, and easy flowing with realistic characters, nice touches of steam, and a heartwarming ending with a compromise. Bad choices, impulsivity, and an anti-drug stance result in Hollywood actor Quinn Stryker being guilty by association with his cocaine using manager, removed from his TV series, back in the orbit of his self-centered society climbing parents, and engaged to his first love, Full Bloom, Vermont’s Wildflour Bakery owner Hazel Gibson.

This book tells Quinn and Hazel's story they were high school sweethearts who shared big dreams of a future together. Quinn was supposed to go to Hollywood and Hazel was supposed to follow. Needless to say, Quinn did leave but after twelve years, Hazel's still living in their hometown with her grandmother.
Quinn's dream came true, he made it big but now his reputation is shot so he comes to see Hazel asking for her help. He offers her a deal that will help her financially as well as saving his reputation but will he break her heart for a second time?
The characters are well-drawn and although at the beginning I found it hard to relate to Quinn and thought at times he was going to blow it I did enjoy their story.
The Fiance Deal is a fun read that, I hope, opens the door to an new Small Town series. Although at times this is a little heavy and dramatic, this tension and backstory is needed as well as the emotional angst that comes with any Second Chance Romance. With sparkling dialogue and a loveable pair that you will root for, this book is a great self contained HEA as the fake fall and love and then acknowledge that this first love never actually ended, they both just allowed it to be hidden from themselves.
One of the strengths of this book is the supporting characters who, just like the main pair of Quinn and Hazel, are equally well developed. This is a town I would love to revisit anytime.

This is the story of Quinn, the actor, and his high-school sweetheart, Hazel. Quinn was an idiot when he was 18 - he left his small hometown - and a heartbroken Hazel - behind to follow his dream of becoming an actor. Trouble finds him, and he needs to suddenly present a good image to keep his career. He goes to Hazel for help - agreeing to fix her crumbling house and care for her Gran in return for her agreeing to fix his crumbling future.
Can Hazel protect herself the second time around? Or will Quinn realize he was telling the truth when he claimed she was his only love?
Great story! Just love Crystal Monroe!!.

In this book we meet Hazel Gibson & Quinn Stryker. When this book opens we find that Quinn is in trouble with the press that is not only affecting his current acting project but any future ones as well. The only thing he can think of at this moment though is Hazel the one woman he truly loved and let get away. Hazel can't believe her ex best friend/ ex boyfriend sold her out to the press. She hasn't seen him in years and the fact she has to all the time she just might kill him this time. Can these two find a HEA or is this just closure?
Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Quinn and Hazel were high school sweethearts and then Quinn broke Hazel's heart. Years later Quinn needs to be respectable and blurts out that he has only loved one person, Hazel. He goes to her and a fake engagement ensues. Hazel is trying to protect herself but it isn't working. They are both pigheaded and will not admit their feelings. Quinn does because he does not want to lose Hazel again. This is just a feel good second chance romance. They have chemistry and are meant to be together. They just need to realize it too.

Quinn left Hazel for his dreams of acting, not keeping any of the promises he made and cut her out of his life. Caught in a scandal he returned to hometown and asked for her help. She agreed after being pushed into but had conditions of her own. What started ought as an act became real. Living for the moment only last so long when both think of their future but neither are brave enough to talk about. Deep introspection, push from friends and open communication leads to Quinn and Hazel finding their HEA. Can’t wait for next book in series from this small town!.

Quinn and Hazel were high school sweethearts planning a future with each other. Until Quinn ended things with her once he left town. Now years later a scandal leads him back to her asking for help. What starts as a fake engagement quickly gets very real between them. Is this their second chance to be together? Will they repeat the same mistakes again?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A second chance to make things right and a not so great way to do it, but then again it might just work. Quinn broke Hazel’s heart and left to go after his dreams only to find out life isn’t always better on the other side and made a choice for both of them he regrets to this day. When he returns years later with a proposal will Hazel help him or will she shut the door on him? Their story Is emotional, witty, steamy and you will definitely root for this couple. I loved all the characters, especially Grams. Such a great read and I found this on BookSprout.
Hazel had been in love with Quinn, a TV star for years when he broke her heart and left town, now he's back and wants her to play his fake fiancee for 6 weeks. This is sweet, steamy romantic and so intense. Poor Hazel doesn't know what hit her. She knows she is walking into a world of hurt again letting him in. Quinn is every bit the star and until he starts to work it out. Like all romance books, there is a HEA, that I loved. Such a great story!.
