How long can you run away from fate? In the case of Chloe Talbot and Joshua Bryce, the answer is…
About 17 years.
That’s how long it’s been since they shared a life-altering kiss on the turret at Westlake. And then Joshua disappeared, taking a step back from his duties as Guardian of the Time Medallion, leaving Chloe wondering what went wrong. Now Joshua wants to make amends. He travels from 19th century Welham Island to present-day Westlake because he can sense something is amiss with the ever-composed Chloe. She wants nothing to do with him, but with Westlake school on the verge of financial ruin, Chloe must get creative if she wants her family’s legacy to survive. She lets Joshua in, despite her every instinct.
But the biggest threat arrives from a man who accuses Chloe’s grandfather of stealing a painting from his family in 1942, Germany. Joshua suggests the best way to save the school is to go back in time to a Europe besieged by World War II to steal it and return it to her accuser.
Will Chloe and Joshua succeed? And will their fiery attraction survive when they return to their own world?

I have truly enjoyed this series! I enjoy the genre of time travel, mixed with romance, suspense, and the problem solving of the characters. I think I read this in one day! Literally! Yes, that may seem strange but I tend to binge read when I find an author and series that I love.
I loved that the characters in the previous book continued in this book. The time travel to Nazi Germany was very tense exciting and sad. New info was discovered. I was disappointed that Joshua didn't think he was worthy of Chloe, when they obviously loved each other.
Book 3 doesn’t disappoint. Cloe is a terrific character. She is smart and inventive. A perfect match to Joshua who has been and done so much in many different eras. It keeps you on edge but deliciously so
This series just gets better and better! Each and every character is wonderfully drawn and a pleasure to become acquainted with. At times the going back and forth in time is a bit confusing but the story itself is totally engaging. I would be starting the next in the series immediately except that it isn’t available until June sadly. How can I wait so long to find out what happens next?
