Decades ago, when an unknown Norwegian teacher wove nuggets of philosophy into a mystery, it gave birth to the all-time bestseller Sophie's World, in which Sophie, all of 14, returns from school one day to find two letters, each with a question—'Who am I?' and 'Where does the earth come from?' Sophie felt her brain stirring as she contemplated philosophy.
Adi feels his soul stirring as he contemplates Vedanta. Falling in love with the elderly and serene Ahana, a voice in his head compels him to write Ahana's story, bringing alive fascinating dimensions of Vedantic mysticism. When she recounts her meetings with Krishna, 'my Krishna', across epochs and universes, Adi is spellbound, and restless to understand Krishna's answers to Ahana's questions.
When it suddenly falls into place for Adi that it was Ahana who had brought him to Almora and to Vedanta, and that he has veiled memories with her in past lives, he knows he has to go back and ask her one last time.
As Ahana gradually absorbs into silence, this Sophie's World meets Vedanta mesmerizes you with its depth. If there ever was a beautiful, simple story to introduce Vedanta and explain our existence, then this is the one.
✨“Somewhere among the stars” is the first fictional book of Adi Varuni (the name was given by Ahana)
✨This is a story of a girl named Ahana, who was in love with Lord Krishna in her subconscious mind. On her 18th birthday, she had a dream which awakened her spiritually. She left her home and moved to Madhuban to take lessons in Dhyana, Sadhana, and Yoga. This story is not just of Ahana or Adi (the author) but this story is of everyone who is seeking their spiritual identity.
✨The story is somehow in the form of an interview of Ahana taken by the author, late only the author realised that he isn't the one who is writing Ahana's story but Ahana is the one who is writing his story.
✨To be honest, I was expecting a lot of preachy stuff to be coming my way, but the book isn’t much preachy. It has a storyline and all the theories revolve around that plot. This helps the readers to have a connection with this book. All the theories are not just pouring over readers, but they are very structurally arranged in the format of conversations. This helps to prevent the readers from being bored. I also like that character’s inner feelings are written in italics, this helped me to distinguish between the outer and inner conversations.
✨Some of the readers may find it a bit difficult to understand this book, but as it’s written in the book, “You will understand everything when your soul is ripened”. So just wait until your soul is ready for the spiritual awakening.
✨I recommend this book to all readers who want to start their journey of self-exploration, subtle knowledge, divine wisdom, and their true purpose of existence.
At some point of out life we all wonder the reason for being born. We seek the purpose and the inner peace that we long to find out. Somewhere Among the Stars by Adi Varuni is a book for every individual with a curiosity to seek the mystic world of Subconsciousness. It is based on Vedanta which teaches "Our underlying reality is God".
The plot revolves around Ahana who is deeply in love with lord Krishna. After her 18th Birthday she realises that her true calling lies in Spirituality and decides to explore it. How she goes about it forms the story.
As Ahana continues in her quest we are exposed to Shri Aurobindo's writings on concept of time and inner self development along with Shri Krishna's teachings. The inner feelings of Ahana has been written in italics which is helpful and avoids confusion. I suggest that the book be read slowly so as to absorb the knowledge it imparts for a better quality of life for the reader and hence fulfilling the purpose of the book...
I rarely read this kind of spiritual and mystical narratives because I find them hard to get into but this one is written in an easy to understand language and at the same time a mind and soul opener story if you call it a one because it really is a journey, journey of Ahana. Adi Varuni has beautifully captured Ahana's journey to Vedanta into words. Vedanta- the ancient system of self inquiry into the nature of your being - who am I? I felt myself increasingly an observer, a witness of her journey.
"I find it ironic that though we live in an infinite universe with infinite possibilities, our thinking remains so limited and superficial. We are petty creatures clinging to the tip of the iceberg while almost all of reality lies submerged in the ocean below us."
Somewhere Among the stars is a beautiful journey of living inwardly so that the mind grows more concentrated in itself like one could see mental activities happening outside, as if in someone else's head, and one's need to engage in them diminishes quickly losing all the interest in the mind's activites or processes.
By witnessing Ahana's journey you'll get a deeper aspect of spirituality. The story also expresses Sri Aurobindo's experiences, his writings about self exploration and the concept of time.
"There is no real time in which we live, that time is only a movement in consciousness."
The book is written as fiction but due to its profound knowledge and wisdom, I think it should fall under the category of self-help. I highly recommend this book if one wants to find some inner peace & mental strength. And also to those who want to understand the true meaning of time. So, good luck for your journey!
As the title suggests, the book revolves around the path of the stars, the unknown, the oblivious. The book explores the themes of self-awareness, self-introspection, and so on. There are many things that are considered when one decides to embark on the journey of spirituality. The book tackles it beautifully without any hassles. The writing is extremely effortless. The flow does not look forced and the whole aura of the book is captivating.
The plot of the novel revolves around the story of Ahana, a teenager who is devoted to Lord Krishna. As she moves ahead in life, she undertakes many journeys that teach her a lot about life, God, and everything in between. There is a lot to learn from the book for everyone and I highly recommend reading it!
It's a literary supplement of a creation conjugated with mysticism, devotion and the laws of life that leads us to the crest of self-exploration, discovery and finally development. a philosophy of devotion, an interpretation of the conjugation and conjunction between the mundane existence and the infinite, has a vast valuation which leads us to a satisfactory aiguille. Through the study of its classification and clarification the broad sense of the universe opens to us.
The plot revolves around a young girl,Ahana who is deeply in love with lord Krishna. Once she realises that the theory of life is hidden in the caves of spirituality. She feels the nerve to explore it. She reads comprehensive texts on the context from books, epics. And her journey continues in search of the infinite quest.
The author has selected the simplest persona as the narrator. The characterisation is strong and supportive. The language is lucid. And the idea of bringing out such enlightening piece is absolutely unique.
Somewhere Among The Stars is written by an incognito author, it expands across various concepts within Vedanta and Yoga through recollections of the author's guru, muse, friend & a philosopher– Ahana's story from Almora, a small hill town in the Himalayas. Starting from the day she set on her journey from her 18th birthday and how she experiences her consciousness's awakening treading across planes, lifetimes & forms attaining love, knowledge and enlightenment.

I can't put down in words how i feel after reading it, just like the characters have received something that will stay forever with them,I have also taken so much that will always be a part of me. It's one of a kind of a book and so different from what I usually read, reading it once isn't enough, with the amount of takeaways it has. I have always been interested in concepts of spirituality, mysticism and overall a sense of understanding of the world of meditation & its wonders that are so vast & possibly beyond us unless we practice it. After first few,I read the book in one reading and i was amazed by the info I came across, almost in disbelief of the immense powers we encompass unknowingly.
It baffles me how there are people living life from such a different lense & perhaps this book will pose a great change in my belief system; it has presented me with an alternate reality, numerous questions are swarming my mind, I don't know the ideal way to life or how things are supposed to happen,or what ,I am supposed to do/ realise...but this book has given me a glimpse into something I didn't have the slightest clue about, things i believed weren't real..they still seem surreal but make a bit more sense now. I am grateful to the anonymous author for sharing these invaluable experiences. Perhaps reading this book for a review is also Krishna's will for getting a peek at the realities that exist but I'm unaware of.
Hoping to give it a reread when someday I have a better understanding of things. Highly recommend y'all to read this atleast once👏🏻
“Somewhere Among the Stars: Recolletions of a Mystic” by Adi Varuni is a book on mysticism. With beautiful writing style and ease of language, Adi Varuni takes her readers to follow the life of Ahana and her coming out to the knowledge of Vedanta. The story is framed in present, where a boy of nearly thirty years of age is talking to Ahana, who is now in her sixties, about the book that he wants to write about her experience over the years. The story shifts to the past as she begins to narrate it all. Beautifully mentioned is the reason behind this book being a fictional novel, that Ahana’s life has primarily been lived on the inside and way lesser on the outside. So, a biography would actually retain nothing.
Ahana’s story begins at her eighteenth birthday, that night she had the best and the most vividly remembered dream of her life. That day brought up for her the most unexpected and unrealized aspect of human existence to her knowledge. Ahana, a Krishna devotee, encountered her Krishna (as they establish) that very fine day. The meeting was at her party, at her home and completely blew Ahana’s brains. The meeting is my favorite part of the whole story. Following this, the reader will see how Krishna stood with her throughout and got her back. Each chapter of the book covers a new area, like Leela, Maya, Vedanta, Advaita, Moksha, etc. Reading this book will help people get a beginners POV on spirituality, one’s path for liberation.
The story overall, emphasizes on the powers if Vedanta and Yoga, through which a human being can live in their conscious in a whole different dimension of the universe while still being here. Sounds absurd? Well, you’re just one step away from discovering. This book helps one trace their steps back to the Vedanta and on what the realistic approach towards them can do to a person and how. Dive in to see what you can gain from it. Happy reading!
I don't believe easily, nor do I reject to believe. Actually, those who are non-believers, are in other sense believer of non-believing. And I am not among these categories also, I can say I am an explorer. And this book is the most difficult book to write a review, for me, this is the hardest book to talk about. It took me away from this world and placed me in a mystic world of peace, leaving me dwelling in believe and non-believer emotional snag.
The book is written in a semi-fictional way but it's a biography. And that's why it makes me confused about how to write my review. It kept me hooked till the last page just to find out what is the conclusion of this life journey. It describes every single day of Ahana 's spiritual journey, her everyday experiences, her experience while doing meditation, what she thought, what she saw, what atmosphere she experienced, and every single feeling written in such a way you wouldn't put down the book. Meditation is not just closing up your eyes and thinking about god's name, no it's thinking about where I came from, who am I, and going back to the core of our spirit.
I was melted in peace, it stir a super mystic hue around me. For those who want to do meditation or don't believe in meditational power, this is the perfect book for them I am absolutely sure about this. Every detailing of Ahana 's meditation journey is soothing for the mind and yet so the chilling experience for the brain, yes brain. How does it sound to you?
The nuances of a yogini's life initially seem loose but it gets you so deeply evolved in its mysticism that you couldn't make yourself free from this book until you finish it. It is a predictable book but still, you would enjoy it.
The rhythm of life pouring down here from Adi Varuni's pen. This book is a beautiful treasures gift from Thank you Adi Varuni for penning down this amazing book. Try this book if you are an explorer, a mesmerizing experience is waiting for you here.
🔸 The story is about Ahana who on her 18th bday gets first glimpse of a stranger Krishna. Krishna is no ordinary man and has come for a purpose-to help Ahana traverse through her mystical journey, to let her know what she and each one is capable of achieving, not just in this lifetime but forever. Ahana lets Krishna guide her & submits herself selflessly to his preachings & way of living. Aditya meets her in her latter years, takes her as his ideal and wants to share Ahana’s story to the world. This journey of Ahana is the essence of the book which is explored by Aditya sharing Ahana’s excerpts.
💗 This was quite an interesting take on spirituality and mysticism in form of a fictional story. It did not get too preachy or boring and laid out facts and experiences as they are. My knowledge increased on concepts like Vedanta, Yoga, etc. I have read mythology as well as spiritual books in past and enjoyed it. Key things that I liked:
💫Sanskrit/ Hindi words have been explained very well in glossary so everyone will get the context 💫 Book is in a dialogue format between the characters and makes it easy flowing 💫 Spiritual books can be difficult to take on at times so this in fiction format works very well
While we may not be into spiritual books or watching mythological shows but still most of us do believe in a supreme power - be it by any name you call - Ganesh, Krishna, Tirupati, Lakshmi…And we believe that supreme power has the power to do any magic. This book is a journey of 1 such mystic who bathed in that magic. The aura formed while reading the book is palpable. I personally feel at least some emotion will be stirred for anyone who reads this story. And those emotions could vary based on which plane or elevation they are. Do try this if you are looking something in mystical fiction genre.
Thanks @thebrowser.chd for sharing this book in exchange of a honest review.
In this book, we follow our narrator, Ahana's journey towards a life of mysticism and self-discovery. It all starts on her 18th birthday with a dream and an enticing stranger who opens before her a new world.
I'm not one to usually pick up books about mysticism but something about this one drew me in. If you're like me, don't worry, I think this is a great book for people just entering the genre. The language is quite simple and everything is explained quite beautifully to us. This isn't a book you should rush through, take your time with it and you might just get a full sense of what's going on. I think this might be one of those books that gets better every time you re-read it.
The book explores the Vedanata system of spirituality, consciousness and the idea of body and mind and self. It's hard to really explain what this book is about but reading this made me feel at peace with myself. It was quite interesting to wrap my head around some of the concepts and in the end, I quite liked where the book took me. It invokes a certain curiosity in its readers and overall I feel like the author does a good job of keeping the reader engaged.
I like that this was written as fiction because I feel like the non-fiction format wouldn't have worked as well and I would have been rather skeptical as a whole.
I'll recommend you this book if you're interested in reading about spirituality and mysticism or would even like to dabble your toes in the genre.
Notes: I was given a review copy of the book but that has in no way impacted my review which remains honest and unbiased
▶First of all, I liked the cover of the book, look at it. It's just so simple yet beautiful, right? And the title of the book is quite interesting for me to read this book.
▶This is a new and fresh read for me, while reading this book, I came to know that, self-awareness and self-observation are important in life, most importantly, when we touch our adolescence period, that is where people come to know many things happening in their life as well as around them right. It's a seeking of what life is and how are things going to change from now onwards, what are the thoughts and mentality of dealing and understanding values and purpose of life, spiritually.
▶For me, it's a really awakening story to read, I never read something like this before, but I learn a lot from the book as well as understanding the connection between God and people.
▶This book is all about a young girl whose name is Ahana and she is 18 years old. Man, I need to say, the path she chose to live and willing to learn those things like spiritually and all, more courage to her. Not everyone is willing to choose to live like that right? Ahana decides to take the way that leads to God. She crosses many paths going like mountains meeting monks, and living in the ashram to seek the knowledge of spirit and all.
▶This is thrilling to read, from start to end the book is interesting to read as well as we can connect through the dots of learning many things mindfully. If you guys like to read books like this then go for it.
I strongly believe that books can be read only when they call out to you. And books have a weird way of finding you when you need them. Somewhere Among The Stars called out to me at a time of a major change in life. A change I didn’t know was happening, but needed all the guidance for. Such is the mystery of the Universe. And strange coincidences (that we must actually always recognize as miracles) happen which remind you of how intrinsically intertwined you are with the Universe, and the Universe with you.
Adi chronicles the spiritual journey of Ahana, a mystic who finds herself taken in by Krishna, a young man who she shares a deep connection with. The book transcends experiences through lifetimes against the backdrop of Vedanta which constantly reminds the reader of how the reader is everything and everything is the reader. Aham Brahmasmi.
The writing style is transcendental, much like the book itself. And can get a bit overwhelming. It can’t be said to be an easy read, or a page turner. There is much that needs to be understood, absorbed and ruminated over. But down to brass tacks, the book is filled with little gems you’d want to store in your diary, and lessons that you will carry with you through life.
If you’re looking for answers to the mysteries of existence, or are confused about what love is, what your purpose in this world is or simply want to understand how you are connected to the Universe, this book is a great place to start!
There is always something serene about knowing Spirituality and embracing it whole heartedly. But the more important thing is that when will the Supreme Power show you the right path towards gaining Spirituality.
This book is all about the journey of one such woman named Ahana who at the age of 18 years got an insight that she was meant for a greater purpose in life. People equate greater purpose with being successful, ambitious, wealthy, beautiful, etc. But we forget that as a soul our main purpose is to seek ‘moksha’ or Atleast connect with the power that none of us has seen. But Ahana knew that she had to renounce everything in life and take the path that is actually not even in the farthest horizons of an 18 year old.
She renounced everything and set to the mountains where she stayed in asharams with basic necessities and took a plunge into her different births meeting her one and only spiritual being —- her Krishna.
The author has beautifully brought out this story to the readers in the form of fiction. Even the name ‘Varuni’ has been given to the author by the mystical lady herself.
But I would strongly recommend this book to only those people who believe in the beauty of spirituality and the power of the Supreme. I am personally a more spiritual person so I loved reading this as it got me a lot of insight into many aspects of the journey of a soul through different realms.
I personally loved this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for some higher perspective in life but is clueless where to start.
☆ Book Review : Somewhere Among The Stars is a beautifully written book by the Indian author Adi Varuni. The language and the narrative of this book is really good. This book is written from a series of interviews and conversations between the author and a mystic named Ahana. Then the author converted these into a fictional story. The story takes the readers on a spiritual journey of a woman named Ahana and her inner quest for love and truth across multiple lifetimes. The story begins with Ahana's dream on her 18th birthday where she met Krishna in her dream and then her spiritual mind awakened. Then she moved to the ashram of Anadi Ma in Madhuban to learn and wholly dedicate herself with the concepts of inner spirituality. And then her spiritual journey begins.
☆ My Thoughts : It was a very different read for me. I haven't read anything like this before and also this genre is very new to me. I'm glad that I read this beautiful book and discover this genre. This book gave me a whole new perspective and I got to know about lot of concepts like Vedanta, Mysticism, Yoga and so on. And also when I was reading this book it was giving me a very calm, peaceful and pleasant effect in me which I really adored about this book. I think this book can read multiple times so I highlighted and annotated many parts. I will recommend this book to everyone especially those who wants to discover this genre.
This book has deep stuff about spirituality and people who love to read a books on spirituality based on yoga and Vedanta will love this book.
It has a rare essence of peace, reading this book was an astounding journey which has made me aware of many yogic words and their uses and what it's called.
Many people don't even think of inner self spirituality the deep concentration and travel through Atman, this book will enlighten you about many yogic words which have a significant meaning in our life, like Atman which is the formless essence in all namarupa, Your inmost self is the Atman, wherever you go, in whatever state you are, it is always with you, the indwelling Ishvara in the cave of your heart.
Brahmisthi is the state when the whole consciousness, front he highest to lowest, becomes firmly established, or that, in Brahman.
The book has vast information and knowledge of yogic energy.
Some thoughts I loved in the book.
Reality is the simultaneity of time: the past, present and future happening all at once.
Time is everywhere and in everything.
Logic and thinking are the first steps on the way, and sound logic and clear thinking can lead to initiation and realization.
Govindacharya's paradox in Vedanta says that " To speed up, you must slow down.
Each time we choose to love, we grow in consciousness. When love becomes perfect, there will be no oblivion.
Told through the perspective of author Adi, tasked with writing the story of Ahana, the mystical yogini who has reached a heightened state of existence and attained Vedanta, this book deals with the infinite spiritual, subtle realm that transcends the material/physical or gross world we as humans inhabit and the path to reach the final destination of one Self's highest potential or Self-realisation.
The central philosophy of this book deals with Non-duality or Advaita Vedanta in Hinduism. It deep dives into philosophical treatises and terminologies of Vedanta. The book shifts timelines when the protagonist Ahana goes through a transcendent experience and gets closer to Moksha. Time is not linear, as events and lifetimes keep unfolding out of chronological order. The protagonist Ahana is aided in her journey by Krishna, who appears in various avatars or forms. The entire book unfolds in the form of flashbacks of dialogues between Ahana and other characters in her past & memories resurfacing as Adi transcribes the extraordinary experiences of Ahana in his book.
For the uninitiated like me in matters of spirituality, this book will feel very confusing and overwhelming with all the Vedantic jargon being bombarded on every page but a glossary of terms at the back of the book is helpful if you want to learn more about the terms and what they mean.
Somewhere among the stars, a decent effort amalgamted with some serious tones of mystic and Vedanta not only serves the purpose of a book but also takes a deep dive in your soul to rejuvenate and bring out the best version of yourself.
This story is about Ahana who finds the purpose of her life through Sri Aurobindo's works and the teachings of Krishna.
The entirety of the book consitututes various subjects like moksha, smarana, tapasya and their deeper understanding. The narrative of this book is extremely beautiful ❤️
I am hardly a person who would prefer this genre and tbvh this one was first of its kind that I read and I was truly impressed by the knowledge that I gained through this book. The writing was calming and it just did not feel incomplete.
Although Ahana's character was complicated to understand in the beginning but I think as the story progresses one understands the pace and direction of its telling.
This book is definitely not the best pick for beginners but for people who wish to explore the depth of mankind and expect something different from the usual hustle bustle of romance, a big thumbs up for this one.
Somewhere among the stars was a unique read for me. Just by reading the title, we can estimate the book's plot might be related with divine spirituality and mysticism. Mysticism as a genre is not my favorite and I donot read much from this genre. However this book might turn out to be quite different in terms of fluidity and writing. The lead character of the novel, Ahana is an 18 year old girl, who at this very age of adolescence is drawn towards spirituality and mysteries of the universe. A believer of Lord Krishna, Ahana seeks out to find out the true meaning and purpose of her life. Thus she visits the hermitage of Anandi to observe different aspects of life.
As writing or narration, I think the author has done a commendable work here. Many a times while reading the book, the readers can get a feeling of being present inside the book and learn a thing or two for themselves. However, I'm not a great fan of the storyline. I felt it was quite a common one. But the different events included are very interesting and might help some of us to find the purposes of our lives. This book might not be enjoyed by a beginner or someone who is not much into this genre. But surely you can go for it to try out something different.
*Somewhere Among The Stars: Recollection of a Mystic* is a beautiful story of a woman's self discovery, about love, about truth across lifetimes. The book starts with an unnamed narrator who introduces us to 'Ahana'. The unnamed narrator is an author of this book. He writes under the name 'Adi Varuni'.
This book takes us on a wonderful journey, the journey of Ahana which starts on her 18th birthday with a dream and takes her to the Ashram in Almora. Through Ahana's journey we come across some spiritual things like Vedanta and Yoga. Vedanta: The ancient system of self - inquiry into the nature of your being- Who am I?
Frankly speaking, Spiritualism and Mysticism is not my kind of genre. I was little skeptical about the book in the starting, but the writing style of the book kept me hooked. This book could have been written in non fiction format but the author preferred it to write in fiction. In the very first chapter, the author explained that there are no laws of logic in fiction. And I feel author took full liberty of it, which is a good thing. Non fiction format would have made it boring (maybe).
So whoever wants to start reading about spiritualism, mysticism or whoever wants to explore this genre, give this book a shot.
I finished Somewhere Among the Stars a few days back and I must say it's one of a kind. It's recollection of a Mystic (as mentioned on the cover) and her journey to find herself and one true self. The book talks about various topics such as Vedanta, which was very new to me.
The mystic works throughout her life to find herself, and not just in this life, but she recollects memories of all her past lives just like some other mystics have done. That is the power of Vedanta and meditation. It mentions God Krishna and Shiva. The book was overall very intriguing. I feel someone who's interested in these concepts and want to dive deeper into their conscious should read it. Also, I can't imagine the amount of patience and peace it would have taken to finish this book.
What I loved the most was the jumping (not the word used in the book) from one life to another while in a deep trance and literally not being conscious of your surroundings for hoursss. Imagine that level of peace and calm? When no matter where you are, you can just fall back into your own mind and be at peace.
This book is about the story of Ahana. When an anonymous person meets her in an Ashram , he wants to write a book about Ahana's life. Stroy starts with Ahana's eighteenth birthday party. In the present setting of the book she was in Almora. This book is all about philosophy and mysticism. Spirituality, religion and Atheist, peace , nature, role of consciousness, love , life and death are some of the themes the book dealt with. This Genre was so new to me, though i don't read such books, I picked this. While reading I somehow felt it was not for me. I adored this book cover, it's so pretty. Book have the same vibes of peace. The author has kept his identity unknown. Adi Varuni was a fictional name, while reading a book you will discover many more things. If you want to try a new genre, do read this book. Highly recommended to believers of philosophy and mysticism. To be honest i have enjoyed the initial amd ending chapters only. In the middle chapters were dragging for me. Everything is highly fictional and spiritual. At the end of the book, the poem by Sri Aurobindo, Glossary of specific terms and Verses from the Bhagavad Gita in this Book are mentioned. Do check all the things.
This book revolves around a girl by the name of Ahana. It's her journey to finding spirituality and her love for Lord Krishna.
😊What i liked -
✔ I liked the concept and storyline. ✔ I was really taken in by Ahana's inner conversations. ✔ I liked the way Sri Aurbindo's writing was used as a way of explanation. (this was my introduction to few of his writings as well) ✔ The book is written in a simple language, this helped me understand the book better. ✔ When you see a book based on spirituality you tend to think it will like those talks that spiritual gurus give, this was far from it,
🤔What could have been better -
✔ Though I liked the book , I did not connect to it spiritually. ( i guess i have a long way to go for that)
📚Who Should read : 👶 Beginner's 💫Spiritual Book Lovers
📈My Rating : 4
P.s: I recommend that you take your time while reading this book and not hurry through it.

Self awareness is what we most require as we develop. To continue developing, we require a sense of our lives' significance. If we don't, we'll constantly be perplexed.
Ahana, an 18-year-old girl, is the subject of the story Somewhere Among the Stars. She takes a course that teenagers of the current generation don't typically choose or follow. She is fascinated by spirituality and wants to learn more about it. and sets her life on that course.
The book is not an ordinary or simple read; in order to get everything right in your head while reading it, you must maintain an open mind. I can assure you that you will learn a lot from this book if you do that. This book is filled with a wealth of information for us.
It is excellent how the entire story is told in a straightforward yet knowledgeable manner. I adored the book's simple and lovely cover. I will unquestionably suggest this book to all of you. You'll undoubtedly appreciate it.
Book 70 of 2022- Somewhere among the stars Author- Adi Varuni
There are some books which can be read and enjoyed. Then, there are some books which should be read and explored and experienced. This book falls under the latter. If you’re someone into spirituality, mysticism or someone who wants to know more about it,you have to read this book.
This is the story about Ahana-who has attained consciousness through rare terrains of Vedanta and Yoga, and realises her true self across lifetimes and dimensions. It talks briefly about Atman, Vedanta, the vital, self and psychic.
I took more than 20 days for me to read this book-because this book needs one’s undivided attention and focus. At some point, it will definitely overwhelm you, you will start questioning about your own existence. This book will do a lot to one if it’s read properly.
If you’re someone who believes in infinite forms across infinite lives and want to know how the universe appears to be fragmented into space, time and matter..read this book and enjoy the journey.
This book talks about spirituality and vedanta in the form of fiction!
Why fiction?
Because it has an endless sense of imagination, you can think of anything that is not even tangible in any form. The basic nature of spirituality and vedanta is also the same. It's not something that can be seen or felt through the common eyes or soul. It needs a ready mindset and a stable mind. That's regarded as fiction in our world when it's nothing but a perspective and belief.
I do not have many words to elaborate on this book except - I LOVED THIS BOOK!
It was my first attempt at reading something spiritual and I'm so glad i picked up the right kind of book.
The experience of reading this book was so wholesome and altogether so unique. A person so naive like me, takes away so much after reading this.
I have been practicing meditation for sometime and believe me when I say-
Reading this book was like meditation itself ❣️
I would urge everyone who wants to explore vedanta and the understanding of spirituality, to please go have an experience of their own reading this book.
Somewhere Among the Stars chronicles a woman's inner quest for Love and Truth across lifetimes and dimensions of being...an adventure of consciousness through rare terrains of Vedanta and Yoga. Adi Varuni writes on Indian spirituality and mysticism, and lives incognito.

The book talks about peace, calmness, vedanta, psychology and philosophy. How sometiems we have to let go the one we love the most. A great read for people who love spirituals books.
The language of this book is lucid so if you're beginner you can definitely pick this up. In the beginning I did find the story a bit confusing but as I went on I really enjoyed the whole book. This book is written as conversations between Adi, a writer and a mystic named Ahana. We follow their conversations as Ahana reveals her journey of attaining peace, calm and remembering her past incarnations. On her 18th birthday, ahana sees a dream which takes her to a ashram in Almora. Ahana's journey doesn't feel real. It feels so much superior and unreal. Things we only see in a movie or series. This book also delves in the concept of consciousness, reality and space and time. These things particularly kept me hooked in the book. It gave me a totally different perspective of looking at these things. This book also talks about vedanta, mysticism, Indian philosophy and a lot of stuff that we don't know about. This book was out of my comfort zone and I won't lie at some point, I felt completely lost but overall I really enjoyed learning about spiritualism and vedanta. The writing of book is lyrical. Just reading it gives you a calm and tranquil peace of mind.
I enjoy reading spiritual and mystical narratives they have calming effect on me once I begin the book and they eventually leave me in a meditative state. Adi Varuni, has penned a brilliant book that deserves the attention of those who wish to “seek” in life, the curious minds who want to make the best of life in every way.

For someone who had lived inside has nothing to fear of outside world. The book unravels the experience of Ahana she faced as she lived life merely inward. Within herself. It is centred on the life inside us. Conscious and subconscious. The experience of different plane altogether while breathing in the physical form. The book is written in a simple language for readers to read and comprehend it well. It will surely not fill the curiosity but will give you the just of what happens when someone lives inside.
