There is historical value in this book for me personally since it involves the area of PNG that we live in and those with whom we work. It gives a detailed account of a pioneer missionary family, the work they started, hardships they endured, and the connections they made with nationals and subsequent missionary arrivals. Not the best writing in and of itself, but very interesting if you are curious about PNG mission work specifically.
