An incredible hidden gem!
How can I feel such a pull of attraction and want to strangle him at the same time?
LOVED this one . . .

Porter made for a fabulous hero. He's a former Olympic snowboarder dealing with the death of his beloved sister.
In place of the joy I used to feel catching air on a run, the elation I felt exploring unfamiliar places, and the euphoria of connecting with someone, I'm feeling guilt and grief.
And I couldn't get enough of his attraction to Madison, who's the interior designer working on his new house.
There is something endlessly sexy about her competence. It's equally attractive how clueless she is about her appeal.
And I loved Madison as well. Her flaws and vulnerabilities were portrayed to perfection, as was her confusion over her feelings for Porter.
Something about Porter makes me want to slap him and kiss him at the same time. It's not a healthy situation. Obviously.
If you're into . . .
✔ rom-com's
✔ enemies to lovers
✔ wonderful angst
✔ deep characters
✔ a pain in the ass dog😂
. . . you've found your next read!

I thoroughly enjoyed this witty and well-written book by L. J. Held. The humor hooked me from the first page, prompting me to read well past my bedtime. I particularly loved Madison’s quirky side and hilarious internal dialogue. As for Porter, while his professional background and notoriety could make him appear superficial at first, his tender side reflected in his love for his deceased sister and his young niece makes him highly endearing and real. I love that the story had some emotional moments of family relationships that made the characters authentic and relatable. Overall a great book.

I seem to be in the minority here but this book was just not it for me…

I didn’t connect to the characters and it was just boring overall. There’s a few grammatical errors as well (not a huge issue). I was about to dnf when I saw that I was 90% through so I figured I’d just finish (skim) it.

I want more!

I want more!!! I want more of Porter and Mads. The writing is impeccable. Flowed so well that I was seeing a movie in my head. Read this in one sitting. I skipped some obligations to finish this. Worth it. I can see myself in Mads. The characters are vibrant and yet relatable. Beautiful story about love, romance, and family.

LJ Held has jumped from YA romance to a thoroughly adult, slow burn, entertaining and romantic romp. She starts her characters at the opposite ends of everything. These two couldn't be more different and yet a spark draws them in the same direction ... which is directly toward each other. The road isn't smooth, straight or swift but the sexual tension is irresistible. I don’t want to give away the enjoyment of the journey, but let's just say there's a demon dog, likable stalker, lots of snowballs and plenty of laughs and chemistry. I would like to keep the lights on for the steamy scenes, but that's just my smutty side coming out to play. Thank you LJ for providing a lovely summer read!

Becoming a favorite author of mine

Held has done it again. Given us a beautiful piece of art that invokes all the feels. I laughed so much throughout this story. There is so much I'd like to say about this book, but I don’t want to spoil it. So I'll keep it simple. I again thoroughly enjoyed all of the characters in this read. I especially liked reading the MCs inner dialogue and his adorable playful side. Poppy sounds like the cutest little 😈  dog. This author really has a way with words.  Keep the books coming!

A short and sweet read with opposites-attract and forced proximity trope. I really don't mind reading a slow burn as long as it is done right. This is one such book.
A well written romance by LJ Held. I usually don't do pure romance, but this one held my attention with realistic banters and plotline.
The chemistry between Madison and Porter is pretty hot. For SMUT lovers, you will not be disappointed. Plenty of steamy scenes to cater to your appetite.

In Flipping Over Her two complete opposites find out they aren't so different after all. Madison owns a home remodeling firm and is hired by a retired Olympic snowboarder to oversee the remodeling of a house he has bought sight unseen. They both have painful histories and act out in ways that grate on each other's nerves. That starts to change when they are trapped in the house in a snowstorm. They were great characters, but a precious little girl and a naughty dog were the stars of the story.

I initially was a beta reader for this book but I had to read it again once it came out! This book gave me all of the Hallmark Movie vibes (it even has snow).
