📣 I won’t give under a 5 stars rating to any Dramione or fanfiction, if they are on Goodreads or no rating at all. First they are not traditionally published tales nor earning money to their authors, second they are not shared to be discriminated, they are only here for the pleasure of their authors and readers.
✍️ the Dramione world is so vast with so many pearls, I discovered this one just yesterday and as it was not « too long », I decided to give it a go. And wow! Watching those two, estranged in a different Hogwarts, well Hogwarts at its beginning, lost in time and having to work together to find their way back, was so fun. And even if the story is told from Hermione’s point of view, it was intriguing to see her opinion of Draco change as his behavior appears as altered. After all a Draco with no well-known past had for once the chance to be himself without second thought of what would be expected from him as one of the height and twenty pureblood families’ heir. So with Hermione, we witness him relaxing, still being his bratty self but one who smiles, laughs and flirts. And also who fears what will change not if but when they return as he will once again retake his etiquette of the almost death eater.
In all this story has many plot lines, for 1999 students having to adapt to the 999 Hogwarts while they seek a way to go back to their time, for Hermione to discover who truly is Draco without the influence of his pureblood surrounding, nor his past and of course for them to understand the reason behind their travel as nothing was really accidental.
It is what I love with these fanfiction, how the authors insinuate themselves into some undeveloped or just mentioned facts and knit a fully story out of it.
You know what, ima give it five stars. I'm feeling good, I’m feeling generous, and I’m feeling like I really enjoyed this fic, so all the stars. Y’all should know at this point but me 🤝 time travel. I don’t care about plot holes, I don’t care if it doesn’t make sense, I fucking love time travel forever and always. I will consume time travel media till the day I die. This was quite simply such a unique fic and it somehow (even after reading countless dramione) still felt new, fresh, and never been done before. I will be honest and admit that this had me smiling at my phone and tossing and turning in my bed at 3:00am. And honestly, what else can you ask for? I feel like I’ve read a few fics by this author by now, and you know what, consistent slay. Anyways there really isn’t anything like a little dramione fanfic on a cool summer's night!
At its core there wasn't a central conflict, not exactly. There were mysteries (several), and certainly both Hermione and Draco had to overcome their history together, but there wasn't a true conflict.
It was however extremely fascinating as the author gave us a different approach to the Founders and other well known staples of Hogwarts.
Absolutely loved this story from start to finish! <3 <3 <3
Let's have an argument doing Prefect rounds, stumble across a time chamber and go back a thousand years to when Hogwarts was newly founded to find the Sorting Hat does not exist... how you like your breakfast holds more information than your dietary preferences.
We got to meet the four founders of Hogwarts!!!!! Can you tell I was excited?!
How do two people from a thousand years in the future explain about the wizard wars, the Statute of Secrecy, school subjects that don't yet exist and what books are? They don't- which gives them an odd sort of peace as they get to know the real Helena Ravenclaw and Waldo Baron (who later become the ghosts of Ravenclaw and Slytherin, respectively).
Trying to find a way back to their own time is swept aside when they realise some of Hogwarts own history has been forgotten, did the Bloody Baron really kill the Grey Lady? The official line is yes but Draco and Hermione don't believe that version after discovering them kissing in a hallway. They have to go back to 1999 before they can figure it out, leaving Helena and Waldo to their fates.
Dramione 7th/8th year. I thought that would turn me away, but it hasn't. Good story, interesting plot, and good writing so far. H and D stumble into a time portal while on patrol as prefects and go back I time 1000 years. I always like it when they're in an unknown place and have to rely on each other while holding a big secret. I like his development and how he's changed, less bigoted and tolerant of her - it was described well to make me believe he had changed and grown. I like that in this other place that they both feel some freedom to be kind of happy and anonymous- no one else knows who they are or who they are/should be to each other.
When there were 4 hours left, I felt like, what are 4 more hours needed for? It felt like some of the plot details were just added later on to keep the story going. They don't really connect with the earlier half of the story. Her lineage, for example, came out of left field. The ghosts - resolving their story, felt like an add-on. Figuring out Rowenas' plan was kind of an add-on.
Despite that, it's good writing, good pacing and a good and interesting read.
Wow, that last hour was suddenly very convoluted. They're figuring things out that don't make any sense. Draco being the white dragon they sung about in the past? I've never heard that before. Them figuring out Rowenas plan for the time traveling scheme. How on earth are they coming to these conclusions? It feels pulled out of nowhere. Lots of platitudes in the last hour (thank you, you're the best, you're amazing, etc) as the story wraps up. Quality is an easy 4. I just didn't love the story. Liked, but not loved. 3.75. Rounding down.
If you’re looking for a fic with heavy spice, this is not the fic for you. BUT if you are looking for an amazing time travel fic within the HP universe, you’ll love this.
Draco and Hermione accidentally activate a time portal while on Prefect patrol and get sent 1000 years back in time to Hogwarts! They meet the founders of Hogwarts (Salazar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Godric Gryffindor) as well as a few other names from the HP universe.
They have to work together to figure out how to get back to their time but also how to navigate Hogwarts in the year 999
It’s got fluff, it’s got humor, it’s got fairly low stakes and a cute lil enemies to lovers story (Rivals, maybe? Idk)
I loved the idea of them meeting the founders and forming profound relationships with them and others from that time. Gah, it was so good imo
I liked the plot but not really the plot structure. I found the romance a little dry, and it made me think of what Ruby Dixon said in the afterword of her books: she chooses characters that work as a couple and they have something that connects them. I felt that was missing here. Once they were "in love", their interactions weren't that interesting to me and the dialogue was pretty stilted. Nonetheless, this was a neat story featuring Hogwarts founders!
As any dramione fic, it was exceptional. The plot kept me engaged the entire time, as did the romance. This was my first founders era fic, and I absolutely enjoyed it. The tragic past of Helena and Waldo had me crying. It is now officially Canon to me, they didn't hate each other, they loved each other fiercely. I loved this fic very much and the award for the most engaging plot was well deserved. Alright that's it for now, see ya in another review.
Just wanted to say that the story was entertaining, the plot was SO CREATIVE I LOVED IT and the reactions from people when they saw Hermione and Draco together? It SERVED. Besides, SPAIN And Nott, and Theo, and RON and Harry. It wasn’t five stars because it got a little boring at the middle but boy did it get better. I loved it
I really enjoyed reading this one! The take on how things worked in the past was very interesting and the chance to read a story with the founders in it was very fun. Kudos for including the Waldo and Helena story into the mix and making it meaningful to the plot.

Este es uno de los mejores fanfics que leí en el último tiempo, la historia me pareció hermosa y dios necesitaba algo sobre los fundadores, viajes en el tiempo y historias de fantasmas.
Dramione. Time travel to the year 999, Draco and Hermione finally get to know each other and learn the truth about founders, ģhosts, history, Hermione’s family etc.

This is one of my top favorite fics now. Soooo interesting and I loved the story completely. Meeting the founders was honestly insane and I want more like this!
It’s good & interesting take on the founder era, i just feel like the plot is too light and not really much action happening in here. But the relationship and characters chemistry was good!!
8th year. Time travel. Mystery. Completed on 11/13. In what world does someone have the creative ability to write a whole background that NEVER existed and then turn it into a believable tangible thing? Absolutely insane. Can’t believe after 3 years of reading Dramione I never picked this one up. The sorting process being so different but in a way that made sense? The ghost having a mystery that needed to be solved to complete everyone’s plot line. Definitely an adventure read and more plot than anything. I wish that what Helena and Waldo had going on was MORE fleshed out because the couple scenes towards the end seemed rushed and the BOOM back to present time and ghosts. The idea of the necklace being a passed down heirloom and leading to MORE answers. Definitely felt like I knew what was going on but none the less I loved seeing it flesh out. Sometimes the dialogue between HxD seemed a little forced especially when trying to solve something but I’m going to assume two smart people use less words because they can figure it all out easier. Also would have loved more of the past and present day moments. I didn’t really see the emotional connection to some characters that the dialogue was trying to convey. Very cute. Very fun. More of a teen read. This author always has such creative ideas though.
I found this fic after finishing a spectacular period time travel Dramione fic and had such high hopes to chase the feeling that one left me. This was good, but definitely a different version of time travel and allowed me to see what most of this trope is about. It was an interesting read, with a lull in the middle that lasted awhile.
1 star- DNF'd 2 star- read through but didn't enjoy a minute of it or didn't like it enough 3 star- enjoyed reading 4 star- fell out of my seat, definitely re-read 5 star- a spectacular work that wrecked my very being and for that fact, may never want to touch again
