Islam is the religion of one in five people on earth. Five times a day millions of people-from Cairo to California, and from Damascus, to Paris and Manila--face Mecca to pray. Yet, Islam is, without doubt, the most misunderstood of all religions. Unfortunately, what people think they know is invariably wrong, often horribly wrong-a creation of an ethnocentric media fueled by a very unrepresentative group of alleged Muslims. This book is an effort to create a better understanding and improve our education about Islam. It answers 101 commonly asked questions and gives clear and concise information about the faith and practices of Islam. Topics covered God and religion, prophethood and revelation, judgment day and life after death, personal practice and spirituality, women in Islam, Islam and democracy, the concept of jihad, Muslim's perspectives on life as well as many contemporary issues facing Islam and Muslims.
101 questions about Islam provided a clear and concise answer for the many questions Muslims and non Muslims may ask or be asked about Islam. As a non Muslim studying the religion this book was a great place to start. As each chapter is one question this book is easy to absorb.
