Tristan is in a sticky situation. He needs his trust money to start his own non profit organization. His parents are holding it until he can prove that he has grown up and is settled. Boo you Tristan parents! Sage needs money to pay her medical bills. So … one plus one equals two. Its simple math right?! Lets fake date.
So I loved the first book, but this one, step back Hudson and Lex; there is a new couple in town! I AM SOCIOPATHICALLY OBSESSED! Is that even a word?! I don’t give a darn.
It was so cute, fun, and just an overall amazing vibe. The easy banter and subtle flirting was top notch. A+. Yes, yes & yes to everything in this book! The characters, storyline, writing style, and the lovely author!
Tristan & Sage relationship was amazingly sculpted. Such a mature supporting partnership. They had the chemistry, sassiness, flirtness, caveman protectiveness, and understanding. That Tristan, a genuine cinnamon roll. And Sage, a strong kind compassionate human being.
It was such a joy to partake in witnessing their relationship journey & how the two inevitably fell for each other. Yes, it did make me feel like a peeping Tom, but bruh I live for this! I loved how they started their relationship as friends and then transitioned obviously to fake dating. The foundation of it was right and solid. And their connection was everything.
I adored those sweet scenes dispersed throughout: the wedding, the karate moves, birthday gift buying, Friends watching, bed cover hover, taking care of the other, and last but not least, the epilogue. The writing style was clear & simple making my reading glide so smoothly. And not to forget to mention, I had butterflies and Aww moments the entire time. I was smiling all along like a crazy person.
I’d have to say bye to the Remington brothers. Ain’t I? I knew this day will come, but still … I’m entitled to be saaaaad! I can still pout about it.
Thanks to Abi for the ARC copy. This book was impeccable. The perfect romcom when you just need a pick me up, feel good escape. Pick it up. Pick it up. Pick it up.
Let me end it here before I overdo it as trust me I can talk about it all day long. Bye.
