I have waited for this story FOREVER. This story made my heart so happy. It is the fifth book in the series and at this point we have watched these characters throughout the other books and to see Jess and Walker get there happily ever after with Berklyn was everything. It was really cool to see the dynamic between Walker and Jess. I've read reverse harems, where there is more than one male involved but this was different. They had such a close relationship prior to Berklyn and it was an amazing thing to see. It was more than friends more than brothers but they weren't romantically into each other. So they had this tight-knit connection in Berklyn helped complete their family. Also, the spice was absolutely insane. This is probably the spiciest book I've read from this author. Let me just say make sure you have your BOB ready or your significant other or some other way to help you, cough cough ahem, finish.

What a wonderful and emotional read. Seriously get ready for all the feels. I laughed, I cried, wanted to throw my kindle and totally fell in love with the characters. Berklyn, Jess, and Walker's story had me hooked from start to finish. This story is steamy, intense, gut wrenching and addicting. This was an epic conclusion to an amazing series!!

Mustang is the Fifth and final book in the Black Ops MMA Series. Books can be read independently of one another, but these protective alphas and all their damage make for good reads. Although, there is angst, it wasn’t as heart wrenching as Dana has delivered in some of the other books. Why Choose can be tricky to navigate, at least for me as a reader, but Dana gave such good MFM. Jess and Walker balance eachother out and Berklyn is the perfect filling.

Berklyn is knee deep in her residency. Her frequent flyers Jess and Walker have been coming in requesting her when they need to visit the ER for six months. And, asking her out, jointly for months. As much as Berklyn is tempted, the complication of the situation holds her back. Until it doesn’t because persistence pays off. Why not enjoy what these two gorgeous men are offering.

Jess is in complete lust, Walker is in love. Polar opposites, but best friends, who like to share. And, boy do they want to share Berklyn.

Walker wants it all and he wants it with Jess and Berklyn. But, Jess hardened his heart from love a long time ago. And, Berklyn is not going to come between them.

The road to the HEA is bumpy, takes a turn I wasn’t expecting, but delivered a sweet read.

Oh my! Wow, where do I even start? This is the first book of the Black Ops MMA series that I have read, and now I NEED to go back and read the rest. I love a good "why choose" book, and this one did not disappoint.

Berklyn, Jess, and Walker's story had me hooked right from the start. I love reading strong women characters who are doing life their way and killing it, and Dr. Brooklyn Fortier is doing just that. She's worked hard to get where she is in life. Then add in the super sexy and strong men, both in character and physical strength, and it makes for one hell of a story!

D. M. David did an amazing job with the character development in this book. I loved how well rounded her characters were, and I couldn't wait to find out more about them as I kept reading. The men in this book are more than just fighters. They have heart and are sweet, and when they love, they love hard. Who doesn't love that?

I hate reviews with spoilers or that give too much information about the book, so as always, I'll keep this short. This was an absolutely amazing book that I didn't want to end. I couldn't get enough of the dymanic and sizzling heat between these characters. I really can't say this loud enough.... YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK!

I’ve loved the entire series but Mustang, Walker and Doc take it to a whole new level. Doc is married to her job as an ER doctor. What a great way to meet a couple of MMA fighters… fighters who like to share and who have their eye on her. So what’s the problem? Mustang has a whole lot of baggage to unpack. What a ride for these three as they found their way together.

This is such a great series but the books really need to be read in order. Which is ok for me because I can't seem to get enough of the Black Ops MMA guys. Once I started the first book, I couldn't stop until I finished the series. I was obsessed with them. These professional fighters might be tough but once they fall, they fall fast and their gooey cinnamony side comes out. I am so sad to see the end of the series but maybe they will make an appearance in future books.

I absolutely devoured this story! These characters are so relatable and their story was unputdownable!!

This series has been one of my favorites since I discovered this author and the first book in this series *No Mercy* being an MMA fan I knew I was going to enjoy these books. What I didn’t expect was the connection to this world.

As I mentioned before these characters as so relatable- you can truly feel everything they are experiencing because it’s so real. The insecurities and questioning of ourselves and our ability love and be loved. This author does an amazing job with the character development and world building. This book is full of emotion, spice and even a few OMG moments that had me flipping the page for more.

If you love MMA, possessive and protective alpha males and strong FMC this book is for you! I recommend starting with book one to get the full experience.

Jess "Mustang" and Walker are best friends who share women in fun, short encounters. Then they meet a beautiful doctor at the ER who's working on their injuries from their MMA fighting, and they both are instantly attracted to her. But Berklyn hasn't been exactly saying yes to the many times Walker has asked her out. But then she says yes. Is she saying yes to both of them? And what exactly is she saying yes to? A relationship, or just some fun?



Berklyn's been gifted two beautiful men vying for her attention. She doesn't want to have to choose, so why should she? What does each of them want from her? It seems Jess just wants fun. Walker might (does) want it all. Can she give them what they want without getting her heart broken?



Whew, this trio is freaking hot! I needed a fan while reading, seriously. But it's the deeper with every page emotional connection that kept me reading. I love how they fell hard for each other, even though they weren't admitting it until late into the story. Jess' backstory in particular, explained his earlier callous behavior, and dang, it was heartbreaking. But in the end, he found the love and healing with his love and his best friend. This is one of the best menage stories I have ever read. All three are layered, complicated, lovable characters, who found love with each other. I'm going to miss the men and women of Black Ops MMA, but can only hope they pop up in future writings by this author.

What an amazing end to an amazing series! Mustang is a must read and a page turner. MFM/why-choose/contemporary sports romance.

Berklyn is an ER doctor. She’s got a mom and two dads. She is outgoing and independent.

Jess “Mustang” is not only an MMA fighter, but he’s also a baker. His best friend Walker is an MMA fighter. They often share woman, but it’s usually not to the point where it’s relationship material. It winds up being short term.

When they set eyes on Berklyn after they continuously go to the ER for their injuries from their MMA fighting, sparks start flying. Berklyn seems to be everything and more for Jess and Walker. Jess is a little more reserved where as Walker seems to be all in. The connection between the three is definitely electric. What could possibly be setting Jess back from going full force into a relationship. Let’s put it this way, it has to do with something that happened when he was younger. Wait til you find out! It will shock you, but you will also understand Jess a little more.

In the end, will Jess, Walker and Berklyn be able to have their happy ending? Will one certain event that happens to Walker and Berklyn, while Jess is at a fight, bring the three closer together? Will another unexpected something that happens bring them all together? So many questions that will definitely be answered. You won’t want to stop reading!

Why choose indeed!

Mustang (Black Ops MMA Book 5) by D. M. Davis is a fantastic series end! So sad to say because I adore all of the characters in the whole series.
But. Getting to know Mustang (Jess), along with his best friend Walker was a delight! Not to mention emotionally charged while titillating the steamy senses once Berklyn enters their sphere. This book is truly a wild ride. These characters will have you laughing, sweating, swearing, wishing, hoping and pleading. And the why choose element of these three is most scintillating, but by no means easy. It's clear from the beginning that Walker has no issues, but Jess certainly does and that only seems to feed Berklyn's insecurities rather than assuaging them. A MFM romance has it's own complications, but Jess and Berklyn makes things more conflicted without really intending to.
Overall, Jess, Berklyn and Walker were made for each other. The why choose storyline is spot on fantastic and because of the complications of conflict within the characters, this HEA (along with some extra happy stuff for all series characters) is truly extra special.

This is the fifth book in the Black Ops MMA Series. It is the story of Jess, Walker and Breklyn. This is a why choose romance and I was loving every second of it. I loved most of all that Jess and Walker had a relationship as best friends. and were super close before Breklyn came into the picture. If you have been reading this series then you have probably been waiting on this book and their story. I loved seeing Jess who bakes and doesn't do relationships fall not once but twice. I love how this one is not your average male, female, male, why choose romance. I was all for it. I love how she completed the family and brought so much into Jess and Walkers lives. You will just have to read it to see why I thought it wasn't your typical why choose romance. This book is something special and will melt your heart at times. I was hooked from the beginning and didn't lay it down until I was finished. I ended this book with a big old smile on my face. You do not want to miss this book.

Jess and Walker are friends and both MMA fighters who are not strangers to sharing women. But never was there something similar to relationship material.
That is until they meet Berklyn. A young woman who is a doctor at the hospital they go to with their injuries from their fights.
They feel attracted and have an instant connection. But whereas Walker is all in, Jess is hesitant.
That is the result of something from his past. When we get to know the story it is a shock. But it makes him more understandable.
Two friends closer as brothers could be and a woman that could complete them.
Will these three find a way and solution for them? Can they all be together? Or is love sometimes not enough? Chemistry over the top, emotions everywhere, fantastic story in this world.

Jess, Berk, and Walker are about to take you on one of the best rollercoasters you've ever been on.
The rails are unsteady at times and threaten to throw them all off this ride, but luckily there's just enough of Walker's fierce need to be loved in Jess that he fights, and there is just enough optimism and will in Berk to push forward when she'd rather pull the door closed.
It's a beautiful dance of hearts, minds, souls and of course bodies.
Full of so much emotion. Mrs Davis as always pores herself into her characters and you can't help but get invested. Each story in this MMA series has had an important story line from domestic abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse, mental health, paternity, kidnapping, sexual assault, falsifying medical records, and polygamy. I wish the series wasn't over but I can't think of a better way for it to end then with this incredible story of real friendship and love that knows no bounds.

“Did I not make it clear? I’ve always wanted you. I always will. I want this.”

I want to start by saying that this is the first book I read in this standalone series, despite the recommendation to start with the first book. I didn't feel confused at all, but I'm sure there were some spoilers for the earlier books. However, I really enjoyed this book. I liked the dynamic between Jess and Walker. This book was multi-POV where you could really see the differences between both guys. They also had an established relationship as best friends before they met Berklyn, which isn't always typical in reverse harem. Also, this book was definitely an emotional read and caused a few tears. The relationship between Berklyn, Jess and Walker was perfect with lots of tension, spice and emotions. The spice was YUMMY! The only thing I didn't like was that some of the pacing left off to me. There were some scenes that I thought should have been more in depth, but overall, I liked this book!

This is the 5th and final book in this incredible series.
Jess / Mustang is an MMA fighter, who loves to bake, and does not do relationships, and his best friend Walker, is also an MMA fighter, and these two like to share. Berklyn is an ER doctor, and she frequently crosses paths with Jess and Walker, due to their injuries while fighting. The sparks fly between the three of them, but Berklyn is at a crossroads, and is willing to let both men go rather than having to choose one.
This is a well written emotionally charged story, with angst, making choices, humor, witty banter, romance, challenges, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and steamy page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

What an AMAZING and EMOTIONAL read this was! Davis always gets me with the emotions in her books as she dives deep into the heart and insecurities of her characters so they take a full journey through in her stories. Jess and Walker are two MMA Fighters that live together, work together and most importantly LOVE to have their women together. They are a team and they are both equally fun to love.

But when they set their sights on the local gorgeous doctor, Berklyn, she's not too sure about having them both. She doesn't believe she's even good enough for one man, but they both want her and they are happy to share her. Her insecurities bubble to the surface and she has to learn to believe that two men can equally love her and make her happy.

A fantastic love story with all the feels!

Steamy, sweet and surprisingly sensitive, Mustang is a great end to a favorite series.

With an instalove start (at least of the MMCs side), an electric connections and oodles of chemistry, Jess, Walker and Berklyn are enough to set the pages of this book on fire. In the midst of the possessive, testosterone filled world of MMA, Dana shows a different and refreshing kind of relationship, that breaks the norm. With a great balance of angst and conflict that's bound to touch your soul, Mustang had me hooked till the very last page.

Wow! Mustang is spicy hot from the very beginning. Jess & Walker are best friends that share everything including their partners. After an encounter with Berklyn at the local ER they are determined to have her and when she accepts oh boy does it get hot! They definitely have to work through some things before they can all have what they want. There is a plot twist that is pretty gut wrenching and it had me pretty emotional for a minute, but it’s so good!! Mustang is definitely going on my Favorites shelf and I’m eager to read more of this series.- Elizabeth

I have been waiting for Mustang’s story and D.M. Davis did NOT disappoint with this last book in this series…This book was a heart and soul worthy read that will leave you crying, angry, laughing, and loving every minute of it. Mustang will certainly give Berklyn and Walker a run for their love but when it all smacks him in the face will he lose it all and them? Grab this all of the feels, why choose romance and enjoy. What an epic conclusion to this series. Full of steam, intensity, family and love. Jess is the tortured character that I was routing for and Walker is the glue that holds them all together. It was wonderful to be a part of their story and to see it unfold. So many words resonated with me, temporary, transaction, business, hope, both and love. It was a wonderful story and I very much recommend this author and series.

D.M. Davis did it...she replaced Rowdy as my all time favorite. I absolutely loved Walker and Berklyn...but Jess!!! Yes...a third...be still my heart. Jess is our broken hero and so deserving of love. For being an MFM and NOT a MMF...the love between Jess and Walker was brilliantly written. I felt the love between all 3 of them. I wish I could go beyond 5 stars!!! Do yourself all the feels and read this book!!!

An enjoyable MFM read that’s far more sex than plot, but the plot that is there is engaging enough to keep momentum. The character development felt a bit lacking; the only character that had any real development was Jess (“Mustang”) and not much development was given to the FMC or other MMC. Nothing extremely unique about this story, but it was a decently enjoyable read.
