A new book that joins my very best favourites! No suprise it's by that beautiful Lady, Prof. Karma Sami!! This book is all about different intellectual, writers, works of art...and a critical study on each of them! Harol Pinter, Taha Hussein, Yahya Haqi, Ghassan kanfani, Ahdaf Soueif, Umberto Eco, Hoda El Sha'rawy, Abdullah Nadeem, Mosalsal Hadeeth el Saba7 wel Masa2, Ibrahim el Haggar, Salah and Bahaa Jaheen, among many others....all are the examples of the true intellectuals..who produce true art...that carry a true mission and vision!
Her analytical eyes.. grasps the details, introduces the work like no ever...sets it in the context of a big web of other works..but skilfully to make you trace the work in itself...!
an important work..of a true critic...and she herself is an example of the reader/critic who should not use difficult language and ways..in an ivory tower just labelled as a literary critic... but she is the example, Yahya Haqi spoke of, the critic whose way is so simple but graceful..and understood by all!
What's really interesting that she speaks of a soap opera, of a singer, of a critic, of a novelist, of a politician , of a poet, of a dramatist... of everything...all who share taste and beauty!
