Super intense ride from page one! Kenzie is on a mission to avenge her family who lost everything at the hands of the Malikovs. She sets the trap, but winds up being the one who's caught in the web. Nikolai Malikov's web, specifically, when he catches her after she hurt his brother Luka. A transgression that can't be overlooked. Nikolai finds himself fighting his feelings for his prisoner, while Kenzie struggles with her feelings of guilt over what she's done.
Dirty Devil is the super hot second book in the Vengeful Villains series by Kristen Luciani. It is a standalone, but best enjoyed when read in series order. It's super fast paced, dark and gritty, and smexy times that while are super hot, contain somewhat dubious consent, lol. I do feel like the switch flipped on Nikolai's feelings rather suddenly, but once that man was all in, he was completely all in. The writing is great and there are tons of twists and turn and more breadcrumbs as to the mystery of who is after the Malikovs. Can't wait for Tori and Konstantin's story next!!

Kenzie is involved in harming Nikolai’s brother Luka but there’s a lot of other cards on the table and Kenzie might be more a pawn than anything.
Nikolai kidnaps Kenzie and intends on making her pay for the pain and hurt she has caused his family. But things aren’t always what they seem and the two of them share similar hurts. What starts out as hate morphs into attachment and love.
This was fast paced, action packed, and SPICY. My main problem with this story was the flip from hate to love. It didn’t work here and I didn’t believe their love for each other. Kenzie also bugged me a whole lot with her inability to use her brain when Nikolai’s dick was in the vicinity. Nikolai was also a real asshole at times. So overall, I liked this but I didn’t love it. However, I will definitely be continuing this series.

Revenge is a key factor again in this story, and Kenzie and her sibling’s revenge is all-consuming. The loss they suffered is such a desperately sad one, so I understood and I supported her and her siblings, to a degree. She sure had some guts and I admired her for her fortitude, it may have been a bit out there but when times are tough you do what you have to do. I also admired her control in the situation and not going as far as her brother wanted, yet even the best thought-out plans can go astray. 😳 The bottom line is you don’t go up against the Russian Bratva without repercussions!
We see a totally different side to Nikolai Malikov in this story, but then again it’s to be expected given the circumstances. His resilience and determination show great strength of character, which he needs to protect his family. Being attracted to Kenzie is more of a hindrance for him but both he and Kenzie can’t ignore the physical chemistry sizzling between them. The steamy, passionate scenes are proof it that!
Something that stands out in this author’s books is the fantastic
way she describes settings, characters, and events. It’s super easy to visualize each scene unfolding as they happen due to these wonderful word collages. The amazing action scenes seem to come to life with these descriptions, as well as the terrific dramatic ones too. Emotions sore and dip accordingly and I will admit to being on the edge of my seat while reading plenty of scenes—absolutely gripping stuff.
While there are a few interwoven threads throughout the story, each issue seems to have more offshoots, all making for one very intricate and extremely interesting plot. The carryover from book one is smoothly executed as well. Not all is dark though as there’s some very slick humor included that really made me chuckle, ah the Kardashians! 😄
I look forward to reading more stories in this series but I have to say… Taras isn’t my favorite so far. 😄 I bet his book is going to be a killer! But meanwhile, I am definitely looking forward to reading about Viktorya and her adventure.

This is another page turner from start to finish!
Book 2 in this series is packed full of all the things we LOVE in a Mafia read! This one sizzles and delivers from page one, through to the end!
The bloody conflicts, family drama and betrayals that this author masterfully delivered to us in Luka and Natasha's story (Twisted Tyrant) continues seamlessly in this story. If you thought any of the Malikov family was safe now that Luka and Natasha are together, think again!
The intense drama, the crazy chemistry, and all the twists and turns in this story line are seriously addictive. Nikolai is deliciously dark, twisted and powerful on his own. As part of his family, he is loyal, vengeful and protective. When an attack literally blows his world up in front of his face, there is nowhere to hide from his rage.
Kenzie is just as loyal to her family as Nik is, and makes miscalculations that put her terrible danger. Her sassy mouth and fierce desire to protect her family finds her at the mercy of Nik, a place she desperately wants to escape.
Nik is deliciously vicious in his dealings with his enemies, but his lust and attraction to Kenzie is a huge problem, for both of them. The steamy scenes between these two are dark, gritty and delicious. I'm surprised my fingertips weren't burning off as I flipped these pages!! Whew!!
There are so many twists and turns, betrayals, and suspenseful situations that it was impossible to escape their world. Just when you think you know...you don't, and you're tossed in another twist!!
I loved the conclusion for these two. It was hard fought, and beautifully won. But as we know, it's not really over... until it's over. And even then, there's more drama! So if you think you're done with these guys - you're not.
The entire Malikov family have even bigger targets on their backs - if that's even possible - and a situation had me desperate for answers!
This read is creative and seriously hard to stop reading. As with all of this author's works, I found myself lost in these characters' world, and did not want to leave!
This author consistently delivers engaging and steamy stories that are easy to love. I always enjoy when she has cross-over characters that I love (from other series) pop in and become entwined with the new storyline.
While it is not a "have to", to be familiar with past stories and characters, it certainly makes this read better if you know them.

It goes without saying but there are still less than zero gumdrops and lollipops up in this story but probably maybe half a rainbow, so there’s that. And yes, it’s graphic and explicit and rather explosive *wink*
So, Nikolai & Kenzie, what to tell you … hmmmmm … Well, their story took over my life for a couple of days just reading it and then it took me more hours than I care to admit to fully absorb the enormity of it, because for every circumstance / plot-point / twist-turn that continued at every turn, the Malikov family story arc became ridiculously complicated; add in the explosive build-up of Nik & Kenzie’s attraction and I mean … brain exploded right along with my panties! Just sayin!
Not every circumstance happening in this journey was even remotely predictable and some of them truly made me gasp like I’ve probably not gasped in a while. The Malikov family saga is just as captivating as Nik & Kenzie and that’s been something since the beginning of this series. I cannot give Kristen enough props for weaving these two storylines together and not having one overshadow the other in any way. The storyline seamlessly flowed between building the relationship between Nik & Kenzie to a HEA and also figuring out who really is behind trying to destroy the Malikov family. I was thrilled by all of it. Character growth along with story development felt organic and realistic to me and I’m super stoked we only have to wait a month to continue the saga! Obviously, I do not recommend you jump into this story without reading Twisted Tyrant first because of the family arc but technically I guess (#eyetwitch) it could be read as a standalone.

Wow. Can you say mind blowing? Enemies to lovers, kidnapping, triggers and full of yumminess. This book was absolutely 100% awesome & I highly recommend the series.

Kenzie is sassy, challenging, defiant, loyal and beautiful a combination that Nikolai can't resist.
He kidnapped her in fit of rage as vengeance for a vicious attack against his family that she and her family had done to his. He's sadistic, violent, and cruel towards his enemies and he believes that she deserves to be punished for her transgressions. He wants her to suffer, break her to possess her. Her sass, and her decadent body feeds the darkness in his soul. Their chemistry was explosive and sizzles off the pages. These two were combustible and when they get together it was aggressive, carnal, erotic and sexplosive. This was phenomenal and great addition to the series.

He kidnapped her in fit of rage as vengeance for a vicious attack against his family that she and her family had done to his. He's sadistic, violent, and cruel towards his enemies and he believes that she deserves to be punished for her transgressions. He wants her to suffer, break her to possess her. Her sass, and her decadent body feeds the darkness in his soul. Their chemistry was explosive and sizzles off the pages. These two were combustible and when they get together it was aggressive, carnal, erotic and sexplosive. This was phenomenal and great addition to the series.

An absolute gem, that I can't wait to talk more about! This was everything that I was craving to read on a "normal" Sunday.
This was a deliciously dark read, and I devoured it in a few hours. The only thing that I didn't like, hence the reason for 4 Leaves, was what happened to Luka at the beginning of the book. I mean I understand that it was necessary for the plot development but I was still pissed that it happened to him! There's another reason, which I'll discuss below.
Now, back to the story, I loved Nik and Kenzie and their chemistry, trust me there was lots of it. and while in the beginning, you are just thinking oh, Nik definitely is a psychopath, but he's a charming one. Let's just say that while the spice was great in this book, I was hoping for a bit more chaining up of Kenzie after the first time Nik chained her up. But then again maybe we'll get a special story at some point with their kinky lifestyle.
Time to profess my undying love (okay maybe not undying) to Kenzie. I loved how she was telling Nik everything that was on her mind and could never shut up. Go, girl! And let's be honest she was a great ringleader not taking into account that she was used in others' schemes, but that's for you to find out!

I loved the storyline: bomb, destruction, causalities, captives, betrayal, in your face danger, enemies in plain sight and a twisted romance. I could not warm to Kenzie. Such a loud, foul mouth young woman. She did not know when to stop her antagonistic pushing. How Nik fell for her is beyond me. However, the overall story is really good, action-packed and thrilling. A very good read.

Revenge is a key factor again in this story, and Kenzie and her sibling’s revenge is all consuming. The loss they suffered is such a desperately sad one, so I understood and I supported her and her siblings, to a degree. She sure had some guts and I admired her for her fortitude, it may have been a bit out there but when times are tough you do what you have to do. I also admired her control in the situation and not going as far as her brother wanted, yet even the best thought out plans can go astray. 😳 The bottom line is you don’t go up against the Russian Bratva without repercussions!
We see a totally different side to Nikolai Malikov in this story, but then again it’s to be expected given the circumstances. His resilience and determination shows great strength of character, which he needs to protect his family. Being attracted to Kenzie is more of a hinderance for him but both he and Kenzie can’t ignore the physical chemistry sizzling between them. The steamy, passionate scenes are proof it that!
Something that stands out in this author’s books is the fantastic
way she describes settings, characters and events. It’s super easy to visualise each scene unfolding as they happen due to these wonderful word collages. The amazing action scenes seem to come to life with these descriptions, as well as the terrific dramatic ones too. Emotions sore and dip accordingly and I will admit to being on the edge of my seat while reading plenty of scenes—absolutely gripping stuff.
While there are a few interwoven threads through the story, each issue seems to have more offshoots, all making for one very intricate and extremely interesting plot. The carryover from book one is smoothly executed as well. Not all is dark though as there’s some very slick humour included that really made me chuckle, ah the Kardashians! 😄
I look forward to reading more stories in this series but I have to say… Taras isn’t my favourite so far. 😄 I bet his book is going to be a killer! But meanwhile I am definitely looking forward to reading about Viktorya and her adventure.

Nik's turn....
Dirty Devil is the second installment in Kristen Luciani's new Series, Vengeful Villains and can be read as a standalone. As the second book following the events of book one, all the crucial elements needed to understand the background are secured and explained.
Having Nikolai Malikov and Kenzie Wheeler as protagonists, the story develops in the aftermath of the bombing at La Gioia, the restaurant co-owned by Nik, orquestrated by Kenzie, her siblings and uncle. One attack at time, with the goal to destroy the presumed responsibles for her father's death and her family desintegration, Kenzie and her family didn't count with the possibility of a failure in their plan and much less ending captive to the Russians.
In the middle of such destruction and mayhem and with Luka in a precarious predicament, Nikolai will aim his attention toward our heroine and dictate her total submission. Kenzie and will have to cohexist with Nikolai, under his claims, demands and orders. The protagonists must contend with each other's nature and behaviors in a forced dynamic that starts as enemies and opposites and evolves to so much more.
I really enjoyed Kenzie and Nik together, their exchanges and constant defiance: her obstination, feistiness and sass against Nikolai's cold demeanor and icy heart, one he thought dead and, against all odds, slowly started warming and melting for his ward. But betrayal is on the horizon and their connection will suffer some bumps and setbacks on the road to HEA.
Secrets revealed and the great picture open and clear will bring to light schematics and purposes of manipulation and the realization of unfainess and wrong targets. Nik and Kenzie love as hard and furious as they defy, fight and conquer, agressively, maddeningly and passionately.
As Kristen got us used to, the narrative flows steady and enegetic, with the secondary characters expertly placed in their roles as adjuvants or opponents, creating a complex net of events, relations, schemes and everything between. It's a story of family, vengeance and duplicity as much as healing and hope!

Kenzie & her siblings lost almost everything important to them except each other, so these days, she's all about revenge on the people who were responsible. None of these young people really know what they're doing, so when they finally think they're getting the revenge they crave, things go sideways in a spectacular fashion, and it lands them in hot water with the Malikov family. Kenzie was taken by Nik Malikov, and I have to say that I loved the fact that she wouldn't be intimidated by Nik, who was really making me mad with some of his actions because he wasn't about hearing the whole story & he allowed his family do some things to her that I wasn't down with. I'm not saying I didn't love him a ton, because I absolutely did, just saying that I would have been even worse than Kenzie . One of the best things about the brilliant Kristen Luciani are her strong heroines who aren't weak whatsoever, and will go toe to toe all day every day & twice on Sundays with super sexy men on the morally gray spectrum, and Kenzie was no exception with her particular gift that had me crazy excited LOL. She also has a gift for providing twists coming in hot with a kicker of heart pounding action, and Dirty Devil was no exception. And the intense heat rounds out this trifecta of perfection so I LIVE for her next new release! Everyone NEEDS this author in their lives as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I always get excited to read Kristen’s books! They never disappoint. Always full of secrets, betrayal, lies, broody men and really hot steamy scenes. This book was another 5⭐️ read.
Kenzi is just a 20yr old girl trying to take care of her brother and sister, but also struggling with the deaths of both her parents. All she wants is revenge for her family losing everything, and to make the Malikov family feel her pain. So when her uncle puts what seems like the perfect plan in her head, she jumps into action. But she no idea what she’s setting into action. Nothing goes as planned and she soon finds herself in the hands of Nik. Her plan goes horribly wrong and lands Luka in a coma and puts a huge target on her head with Nick’s family. They want her dead and Nik is torn, he’s felt an instant connection with her and he knows he can’t kill her, but he also knows he won’t betray his family either. But as evidence is presented and the betrayals of those trusted are brought to light, Nik realizes this is much bigger than just Kenzie.
This book was really good, had you guessing right till the end. I can’t wait for Konstantin and Tori’s story! I’m also hoping for a another new series that will start with what happened to Val.

Wow! This book picks up right where the first one left us hanging with an explosion. Nik definitely meets his match in Kenzie, who is a firecracker. She is smart and resourceful, looking out for her siblings. She is also an expert in making explosives and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Nik is loyal to his family, exerts control, and shows how ruthless he can be. But Kenzie definitively puts a twist in his path, and he feels conflicted with his growing feelings toward her. The two of them have scorching chemistry and do share some intimate moments. I feel a bit more emotional connection could have been made or paced more prevalently, though we do get a few moments between them where they open up and share their vulnerabilities. Maybe because it happens between moments of hot/cold whiplash that it feels a little buried. I also wished it was a little less instalust on Kenzie’s side given how strong she was portrayed. Still, you cannot deny the connection these two share. Along with that, we are trying to u cover the bigger plot that led Kenzie to Nik as well who is the Brotherhood 7 that was introduced in the first book. The plot here is definitely filled with tension and suspense. With that cliffhanger in the epilogue, I can’t wait for Tori’s story.

He's having all kinds of dirty thoughts about this hot chic, until his place blows up and he finds out she's responsible. Turns out she wasn't who she said she was. Now, his brother, Luka may not survive the blast and Kenzie is going to pay, possibly with her life should he die!

OMG if you thought Luca’s story was dark and delicious you ain’t seen or technically read anything yet!! Nikolai and Kenzie will blow book one out of the water. These two are intense and freaking hot together. Their chemistry and connection are off the charts.
Both Nikolai and Kenzie are out for revenge, Nikolai has his sights set on her and she has hers set on the Malikov Bratva in general. She falls right into his hands and he keeps her captive until he decides he doesn’t just want her he wants her heart captive too. He’s your typical alpha mafia male and she’s a fiercely feisty headstrong woman, both will have you cheering each of them on when they banter and butt heads back and forth.
This book will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat as everything unfolds. There will be twists and turns, lies, secrets and betrayals and some serious moments you won’t be expecting. So if you read and loved book one you won’t want to miss this one. And if you haven’t started this series it’s an absolute must!! Highly recommended!!

This is the second book in this series. They can be read as standalone books. I haven’t read the first one and wasn’t confused. Kenzie wants revenge for her family and she has a plan. To bad that plan doesn’t go exactly the way she planned. Now she finds herself and a captive. Nik can’t believe his family finds its self in this spot again. First his father and one of his brothers are killed. Now his business is bombed and another brother is in the hospital fighting for his life. This time he has a group of siblings responsible. Or at least the ones responsible for the bombing. They are just pawns though. Now he needs to use the oldest girl Kenzie to try to get more info. Things aren’t going as Nik planned either. He can’t seem to fight his attraction to his captive. What happens when Nik starts wanting to keep his captive for his own reasons and not because she can help him find out who is behind hurting his family? This books was a great read. It is a forced proximity, enemies to lovers book. Nik and Kenzie have an instant connection that neither can fight for long. There are lots of twists and turns in this book. I have added the first book to my tbr list. Nik’s family is kinda crazy. Kenzie’s family is more subdued and was just acting on anger. I really enjoyed these characters. I look forward to reading more about them. Great job Kristen.

Kenzie/Kiki believes the deaths of her parents to be the fault of the Malikov Mafia family and institutes an explosive revenge upon them. She is kidnapped by Nik following the traumatic injury to his brother Luka which leaves him as the temporary don of his family’s Mafia. Nik is out to get answers from Kenzie regarding her associations in order to protect the family, but both characters find strong chemistry between them. This excellent book takes you on a non-stop journey characterized by violence, danger, unexpected plot twists, banter, deceit, and sizzling passion. I highly recommend this excellent mafia romance. The next book in the series is Cruel Captor..

October 3, 2022Another amazing mafia book by Kristen Luciani. I truly could not put this book down. Loved it! This book follows Nikolai Malikov and the rest of the Malikov family on their journey of finding out who is out to get them. Nik and Kenzie meet and have an instant attraction. Shortly after he realizes Kenzie is a threat and seeks revenge on Kenzie for the damage she and her siblings have inflicted on the family. His form of revenge involves some pretty kinky fun times. Kenzie has no chance at keeping her heart locked up. There are so many twists in this story. All the suspense,drama and action has you hurriedly flipping through the pages to see what is going to happen next. So much detailed depravity and violence. Definitely has me hooked and longing for the next book in the series.

Nik and Kenzie are combustible…literally. Kenzie was so fierce and had a mouth on her that wouldn’t stop. Think that’s why Nik ultimately fell in love with her. They had an instant connection, but she blew that to hell literally , taking out Luka at the same time. The girls in these guys lives seem to be fiercer than the guys. Natasha kicked Kenzie ass for hurting her guy.
I would have liked to understand more of Nick’s emotions, it seemed rushed from hating her to loving her.
In the end these two had perfect chemistry, and were steamy hot! Now, if they can get past the enemy Nik brought into their lives.
