His vengeance... I kidnapped my enemy's sister on his wedding day,
And put my ring on her finger
As punishment for a twisted plot that killed my father.

The Malikov Bratva stole everything from me.
Now it's time to take it all back,
And my gorgeous captive holds the key to my future.

But Tori is fierce, ruthless, and vengeful.
She fights me like a hellcat,
Always resisting her fate,
And disobeying my strict rules.

I punish her defiance at every turn,
Unable to resist making her the star of my dark and devious games.
The more she struggles,
The more powerful I become.

I ruined her life to possess her.
And I will destroy anyone who tries to take her from me.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: kidnapping, revenge
Angst: 😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Tori is sick of mafia men and the mafia life. She only wants "normal" and it's so close, it's almost in her grasp. A successful author, one of her books get picked up for a Netflix series and it seems like she's finally "there", when Konstantin Romanov swoops in to enact his revenge to take back what rightfully belongs to him. Konstantin doesn't condone all the awful things his father has done to the Malikov family, but he needs his family's piece of the pie and Tori is the perfect tool to make it all happen. The fact that she looks just like his deceitful ex just fuels his ire. But while Tori wants a "normal" life, her upbringing with her crazy brothers have not made her an easy target as Konstantin finds out the hard way, lol.

There was absolutely nothing I didn't love about Cruel Captor! While Cruel Captor picks up exactly where Dirty Devil (book 2) leaves off, it can easily be read as a background since all relevant information is relayed. Loved Tori. She's absolutely nuts, lol. In an in your face, kick your butt, make you sorry you kidnapped her kind of way. Konstantin never really is able to "handle" her ... and finds out he likes it that way, lol. This story has tons of action and while a bit of a slow-burn, the absolutely loathe-to-lovers has the sexual tension notched up to HIGH. The banter between them is great and it's great to see the hero get served once in a while, lol. This series has been fantastic and I can't wait for Taras' book!

⛔️ My bookshelves can sometimes be spoilers

Kristen Luciani has done it again with another fantastic read from the Vengeful Villains series! I was blown away by Tori and Konstantin's story; these two were explosive and had some HOT sexual tension!

𝒴ℴ𝓊 𝓌𝒶𝓃𝓉 𝓂ℯ, 𝓎ℴ𝓊 𝒸𝓇𝒶𝓋ℯ 𝓂ℯ, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓎ℴ𝓊 𝒽𝒶𝓉ℯ 𝓎ℴ𝓊𝓇𝓈ℯ𝓁𝒻 𝒻ℴ𝓇 𝒾𝓉.

This one is a slow burn, but when they finally get together, it's fireworks! Konstantin wants Tori all to himself and is willing to do anything to keep her. These two had some of the best banter, and they had me cackling throughout the book.

I can't wait to read Merciless Monster. The world Kristen has created for this series is amazing!

In Cruel Captor, Vengeful Villains book three, the story basically continued on from the end of book two, Dirty Devil, where Viktorya, or Tori, Malikov had been kidnapped by Konstantin Romanov (aka Mikhail Federov). Confused? 😁 The story wasn’t confusing it flowed well, although I was constantly worried about how the lead characters could possibly get their happy ever after—great plotting.

I loved Tori, what’s fantastic about her character was she had a backbone made of steel and projected this well. She doesn’t take anything lying down—unless tied up 😉, and her scheming ways and strong determination make her one kicka*s female. Konstantin was quite ruthless but I felt for him too. He had a patriarchal nightmare it seems, and that has just overflowed even after his father’s demise, I actually felt sorry for him. So, both lead characters had quite a lot in common—the only drawback for Konstantin was that Tori wanted no part of the underworld, she wanted to marry a ‘normal’ man. But the heart knows what it wants and that’s that!

The slow-burn romance, a reluctant one to be sure, but holy moly did this pair steam up the windows. 😆 There was definitely no issue with their physical reaction to each other, but more than that, they started communicating. Apart from that morsel my lips are 🤐.

The Brotherhood 7 was still causing havoc but also a bit of a mystery and tangling things up. That, along with the situation Konstantin and his brother were in, make up the great suspense element in the book and boy is it suspenseful. Talk about action packed, I have no nails on my right hand at all and at times the drama was so intense I stayed sitting on the edge of my chair scrolling and reading as fast as I could to find out what happened. The twists and turns are incredible, absolutely brilliant writing.
The ending—all I can say is bring in Taras’ story, book four!

Let me start out by saying, I LOVED ME SOME TORI like you wouldn't believe, as this heroine is no shrinking violet, and I couldn't get enough of her! She belongs to a mafia family, and she quite honestly doesn't want to be part of the life. Of course that doesn't matter as with her last name, she has a big target on her back despite her best efforts. She's created her own career as a best selling author, but no one knows since she has a pen name. Now let's talk about our morally gray hero, Konstantin (or whoever he is LOL). He kidnaps her in a revenge plot against her family, and man she sure as hell didn't make it easy, especially since she pushed his buttons every step of the way. Plus, she could bring grown men down as well LOL. They have serious chemistry as the sparks are flying, and neither can deny them for long, however, there are more than one enemy or her family on their trail so the twists are coming in hot leaving me on the edge of my seat with heart racing. Kristen Luciani definitely can write mafia books LIKE A BOSS, and I'll never get enough, and after you read this book, you'll feel the same way. She does tend to try to kill me with the tease into the next book as it's a brutal cliffhanger ending, so once again, the impatient wait begins! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Cruel Captor, book three in Kristen Luciano’s Vengeful Villains series, is an action-packed love story with a bad*ss bride!

Tori Malikov is as lethal as she is beautiful, but she’s hiding a secret. She’s never wanted to be part of her mafia family’s life of crime. Now that her romance novels are successful, she wants out. Konstantin Romanov has other plans - he kidnaps Tori and plans to marry her in order to gain access to her family’s money. Questions remain. Who else is after Tori? Will Konstantinos be able to save her, or will they both lose everything including their love?

This book is perfect for Tori. She’s not a flowers and Candy kind of girl. She’s just as dangerous as her kidnapper, and that’s without a gun. Konstantin has been screwed over by his father so many times, he constantly wonders about his self-worth. Is he good enough. I love the characters in this series. Tori is a firecracker, and Konstantin is a tough guy with a gooey center. Tori’s brothers surround Tori when she needs them most, and their family dynamic is strong. I love it when Tori faces off with Konstantin’s ex-fiancée. This book is more action heavy than romance heavy, but that’s perfect for the characters. I can’t wait for the next installment in this series.

Cruel Captor can be read as a standalone, but you’ll love it more if you read the whole series, get to know all the characters, and understand the story that’s woven throughout the books. Let me know what you think - I’d love to discuss!

Mikhail has been pretending to be someone else so that he can infiltrate the Malikov family. He holds them responsible not only for the death of his father but for the financial aftermath as well. He wants revenge and decides that the best way to meet his goals is to abduct Tori and convince her to become his wife, but she is a surprise he didn’t see coming.

Tori may have been raised in a mafia family but not only isn’t that the life she wants but she is not meek nor mild. She isn’t about to just accept his dictates and challenges him at every turn, but she is about to find out that rather than infuriating him it only makes her more intriguing to him.

Tori proves to be Mikhail’s equal in every way as despite the way their relationship started there was no denying they were meant to be together and she proves how strong and resilient she is when the threats escalate against them.

I am a huge fan of this author. I loved this book, but I expected to. This is the third book in the Vengeful Villians series. I love that it draws you in from the starts and keeps going at a fast pace all the way through. This book (#3) picks up where the 2nd book left off with Victoria having been kidnapped from her brother's wedding by Konstantin aka Mikhail _ the villain that has haunted the family, and no one suspected he’s the one all along. This is a fantastic series to be read in order. Loved it.

CRUEL CAPTOR is the third instalment in Kristen Luciani’s contemporary, adult VENGEFUL VILLAINS dark, erotic, Bratva romance series. This is twenty-five year old, Bratva princess/ romance writer Viktorya ‘Tori’ Malikov, and disgraced Bratva enforcer/heir Konstantin Romanov aka Mikhail Federov’s story line. CRUEL CAPTOR can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is an ongoing story line throughout.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Tori and Konstantin/Mikhail CRUEL CAPTOR follows in the aftermath of the collapse of the Federov Bratva empire. Mikhail Federov demands revenge, retribution and reprisal in the wake of betrayal by, and the murder of his abusive father, a murder that set into motion the downfall of the Federov empire. Seeking vengeance Mikhail, now known as Konstantin Romanov kidnaps Viktorya Malikov, with the intention of claiming our heroine as his wife but all does not go according to plan when a feisty and well-trained Tori continues to battle the man with whom she will fall in love. There are more than two families warring for control of the once powerful Federvo Bratva, pitting the Malikov crime family against everyone involved. What ensues is the acrimonious but building relationship between Tori and Konstantin, and the potential fall-out as betrayal from within sets into motion a potential war from all sides.

The relationship between Tori and Konstantin is an enemies to lovers; a forced proximity relationship in which Tori is quick to find herself falling for her sexy captor. Tori is well trained in the ability to protect herself but no training is going to protect her heart against the man with whom she will fall in love. Konstantin Romanov seeks only revenge against the family that destroyed what was left of his organization, an organization that quickly collapsed with the death of his father, and a betrayal of trust. Marrying Tori means a second chance at power and control but there is someone else waiting to assume a position at the top. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.

The secondary and supporting characters include Konstantin’s brother Gregor, and their head of security Lev, as well as the return of Alek Severinov, Nik, Luka and Taras Malikov. The requisite evil is familiar.

CRUEL CAPTOR is a story of betrayal and vengeance, submission and acceptance, death and destruction, power and control. The premise is dark and dramatic; the romance turbulent and hot; the characters are broken, dynamic and struggling to survive. CRUEL CAPTOR ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

Cruel Captor is third book in the Vengeful Villains series. A steamy standalone full-length romance with no cheating or cliffhanger and complete with a satisfying happily-ever-after. It's dark, twisted, and depraved. A brilliantly crafted story with complex characters and a revenge fueled storyline that captures the audience from the first chapter and keeps you hooked, glue and and edge of your seat with it's high octane, pulse-pounding action. If you're a fan of forced marriage, age gap trope, enemies-to-lovers, hate-to-love vibes, forced proximity, captive romance tropes then look no further you will devour this book?
There's what to expect in Cruel Captor: kidnapping, drama, lies, lust, enemies, suspense, deception, BDSM, chaos, secrets, mystery, anger, angst, attack, defiance, dominance, submission, hatred, resentment, madness, surprises, kinks, revelations, threat, unexpected twists and turns, danger, violence, spanking, steam, passion, pawn, trust issues, push and pull, power struggles, power and control, revenge, retaliation, obsession, touch her you die, manipulations, tension, emotions, taboo, heartaches, death, survival, darkness, forbidden, betrayal, pleasure and pain, captivity, opposite attracts, acceptance, and love.
Konstantin Romanov formerly known as Mikhail Federov is a cruel, savage, relentless, and devil man who has everything taken from him by The Malikov Bratva after they killed his abusive father after the fall of The Federov Bratva Empire. He vows vengeance ever since, so he devised plan to kidnap his enemy sister on the day of his wedding. And as a revenge for killing his father he has twisted plot of punishment for the Malikov he plans on putting his ring on her finger. However, he didn't plan on the mafia princess being a hellcat. Tori Malikov is no shrinking violet. She's vengeful, fierce, ruthless, defiant, and strong-willed. The more tries to dominate her to his dark and devious plans the more she struggles.
She refuses to be a pawn in his game. Tori is well trained and she's any ordinary mafia princess she's just as ruthless as her captor. It's a cat and mouse game between the two which intensify the sexual chemistry. Their sexual scenes were explosive, intense and libidinous. Konstantin wants to rebuild his Bratva by getting the money from Tori with her as his wife but they're other players interested. Will Konstantin get back his Bratva? Will they neutralize the threat? Will get their HEA? Will they fall in love and stop playing a game?

The Malikov Bravta knows the Brotherhood 7 and their enemies are coming after them. At the end of the last book they seen a phoenix tattoo on the hand of their enemy, a man they’ve been doing arms business with, but they didn’t expect someone they knew was trying to take them down until it was too late and Konstantin Romanov (Mikhail Federov) had kidnapped their sister. His father was assassinated, he was a traitor to the Brotherhood 7. His father destroyed Konstantin’s chance of continuing his own arms business after he was murdered. Konstantin’s business contacts and his arms dealing business was shattered soon after everyone was afraid to be caught in the middle of the mafia war.
Viktorya ‘Tori’ Malikov has never wanted the mafia life, she’s tried to build a life for herself outside of the family business, so being kidnapped by Konstantin really pisses her off. Oh yes she noticed the handsome devil at the wedding reception, knew right away he was too dangerous for her too handsome and sexy as heck for her tastes, but that doesn’t give him the right to take her, kidnap her and then tell her they’re getting married so he can claim part of the Malikov business. I love how things do not go according to plan. for Tori is no push over. She fights tooth and nail; she knows how to defend herself and inflict the most pain she can on her enemy. She is so good at pushing Konstantin’s buttons. It’s captivating to see them realizing they’re not so different after all, both had abusive and controlling fathers, families they love and will do anything for them. You can see a bond building as they both fight their emotions and the connection; they are starting feel. Can he win her over? Will Konstantin get his revenge against them by making Tori fall for him? There’s a few twists and turns as secrets, lies and betrayal are uncovered as danger is waiting around every corner to take them all down. The Malikov brothers are gradually learning more about the Brotherhood 7 who wants them dead. Can the Malikov brothers and Konstantin work together to trap the real traitor, and uncover more information? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review this excellent dark Bratva romance.

KC Rating: NOT RATED

It's very rare that I DNF a book, and unfortunately this is the case this time. Let's say that I've enjoyed Kristen's books a lot, and I was really looking forward to this one, and then my disappointment when I just couldn't get into it.

Let me be honest, I received an ARC 2 weeks before the release date and started it immediately, and 20% into it I just wasn't getting the characters. I continued until I was somewhere around 50% that's when I stopped for the first time, and then I went up to 78%, and just couldn't continue anymore. I tried several times, but it just wasn't my cup of tea..

Now let me explain, I think I just hated how Konstantin was written. He was too chaotic for me, and I like my villains or antiheroes more I don't know level headed I guess? At least when they are making plans at least! All of his plans were trash, and he didn't even seem to understand that they were trash or not thought out! Like, dude, you were talking so much about how your empire was made by you, but then just because of a blip of his father he couldn't maintain anything, so a logical question arises, your empire was never based on your own power you used some of your daddy's connections and power to build it, hence it fell so easily! His whiny ass was just pissing me off!

So yeah, I hated Konstantin, and he was the reason why I couldn't get into the book..

I received an ARC for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Intense, kidnapping, betrayal, deception

This book is going to throw you for so many loops and it’s going to still leave so many questions not answered about the fate of several prominent characters in this series. However, we do get to see the world according to Tori & Konstantin.

Tori is one of my favorite characters in this series. She is tough, mouthy, and very brave. She doesn’t take from anyone and she gives her brothers a run for their money every chance she can. She is not happy when she’s kidnapped by Kon at her brother’s wedding but she doesn’t go quietly. However, she’s intrigued by him and what he does to her. She’s always avoided men like her family because she doesn’t want that life but with him everything is different. It started out as being forced to be with him to a place she never not wanted to be.

Konstantin is focused on revenge but his need and obsession with Tori will not let him walk away without her by his side. The kidnapping wasn’t the initial plan but he can be without her and he won’t let anyone come between them. This is an action packed book with lots of twists and turns. Be prepared for several holy crap moments because some things will blindside in this book. Taras’ book is next and it’s going to be insane and hopefully soon we’ll learn of Val’s fate because not knowing is killing me! Happy Reading!!

Now we dive into Konstantin and Tori’s story in book 3 of Vengeful Villains- Cruel Captor!
Konstantin is out to destroy the Malikov empire because Viktor killed Konstantin’s father and it destroyed his family and empire. His plan was to simply get inside and make them think he’d help rebuild their weapon empire. But his plans changed when he saw Tori. So when he decided to kidnap her at the wedding, he did it knowing it could start a war. But he wasn’t prepared for the feistiness in her! Tori literally brings him to his knees in pain! She is one tough b!t€h! I loved her. She was no doormat and didn’t put up with anyone’s shit!
Her and Konstantin were good together. What started as a revenge, turned into a love story. And when enemies come after Konstantin, and threaten Tori, her brothers agree to put differences aside to work as a team.
This was another great addition to the Vengeful Villains series! I’m so looking forward to getting Taras story, I love his sense of humor and I can’t wait to see his dark side. As this series builds I know the final book is going to be explosive- especially since it’s Val’s story!!!

The Vengeful Villains series just get better and better. Cruel Captor is book number three in the series and it is another win for me… First let me start off by saying Tori is a MFKN beast I absolutely love her fight, her spark and her sassy AF mouth. I love how she is willing to go toe to toe with anyone no matter who they are or what power they hold. For me she has the biggest balls of them all. Now Konstantine this man is just yummy and while I want to throat punch him on multiple occasions there was just something about him that stole my heart. The back and forth between these two is everything and the moments they give into one another is life. Their chemistry and passion and the sparks that fly between them is enough to incinerate a building. There is more happening behind the scenes in this one and there crew needs to figure out what the F is happening before they all end up dead. I love the drama, the mystery and most of all the storyline. These two together are unstoppable. All I can say is keep these amazing stories coming!! Up next is Taras’ story and I feel like its already going to be one crazy ride.

Here we go again!! Book 3 proves to hit the ground running as do book 1 and 2 in this series!!

Konstantin has plans for revenge on the Malikov family for causing his business to tank once his father was killed. His father definitely was a horrible human and deserved what he got, there's no doubt about that. However, Konstantin didn't think it would cause him the headache he's inherited from it.. He's gotten in on the inside of Malikov family and is at a wedding, when he does something irrational... his plan didn't include was kidnapping Tori Malikov, yet here he is with her in tow..

Tori is a spitfire! Yeah, she may be the daughter of Mafia, but she's an author that writes love stories and wants nothing to do with the family business. But, when she's kidnapped by Konstantin, her fight or flight mode kicks in and man does she give him a run for his money!

Tori and Konstantin together generate enough electricity they could power a city! I loved those two together! This story definitely has twists, turns, hotness and kept me on my toes.

Viktorya (Tori) is the younger sister of Luka and Nik (Malikov family). Konstantin (Mikhail) is out for revenge after the death of his father took everything away from him. Tori is a bada$$! She is not one you really want to mess with as she has trained to take care of herself. When Konstantin goes off script and decides to kidnap Tori from her brother’s wedding, the fun starts. There is a connection between the two, although neither one wants to admit it! But what happens when someone tries to kidnap Tori from the kidnapper?

This story is full of twists, drama, action, violence, revenge, mystery, suspense, betrayal, and deception. Mischa makes an appearance during the story and her resemblance to Tori in uncanny and plays a big part in this story. A few secrets are revealed, and some old players make their appearance as well. Even giving us a sneak peek into what can happen in the next book! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The series center around the Malikov family and this is book three, sister Tori's story. It picks up where book two ended. Konstantin appeared in that book representing himself simply as a business associate when in truth he is carrying out a plan for revenge which suddenly takes a left turn when he impulsively kidnaps Tori Malikov from her brother's wedding. I didn't quite understand his thinking in this and I am not sure he did either, but that's beside the point because despite any reservations about the plot, I do very much enjoy these steamy Mafia romances by Kristen Luciani. The sexual chemistry between Konstantin and Tori is pretty hot and the writing is great with never a dull moment. I wasn't too fond of Konstantin at the beginning but I warmed up to him. Tori is pretty badass when she isn't zip tied or handcuffed. All in all Cruel Captor is an enthralling read that was hard to put down. I'm looking forward to Tarras's story. 4.5 stars.

This author brings us another fantastic story in Konstantin and Tori's journey. She has such a way of bringing these characters to life and pulling her readers in on their journey as well as making us fall in love with them.
Konstantin Romanov who's formerly known as Mikhail Federov has a score to settle. After a very dangerous and hasty decision made by his father. Konstantin's life is left in shambles. His recourse to recoup his losses is to destroy the Malikov Bratva.
Viktorya is the Princess of the Malikov Bratva and hates the lifestyle with a passion. She's a strong, fierce, independent woman and she hits every single nerve Konstantin has. This is an incredible, intense, exciting ride and the setup for the next story is brilliant!
"Ours will be the most epic of romance sagas, complete with twists, turns, and spice galore — all the ingredients for a sinfully sexy
story that will have us flipping pages for a lifetime to come."

I love how these ultra aggressively vicious guys fall in love so fast! And each with the woman they kidnapped. I’d say Stockholm syndrome, but in the case of Tory, that’s just not possible. That girl is the ultimate bad a$$. She doesn’t need a weapon to take anyone down, she is the weapon. Konstantin has had his dad in his head for so long he didn’t know which way was up, he also didn’t know what hit him when it came to Tory. Those two were on fire from the word go. I love that Tory is a romance writer and how in the middle of all the chaos, she still itches to write.
I hope their little surprise is safe. I can’t wait to read Taras’ story. Can’t imagine who would put up with him and looking forward to him being brought to his knees.

Another great story in the Vengeful Villains series!! I'm loving this Bratva world and the characters this author continues to breathe life into.
Plot a plan for revenge ✔
Infiltrate the family ✔
Make them believe you're working with them to rebuild their empire ✔
Change the plan ✔
That's when all h3ll breaks loose. I love Tori's spunk. Not one to put up with anyone's bs, she literally gives better than she gets and usually comes out ahead. She's definitely not your doormat daughter that knows nothing. The more they're thrown together, the more interesting things become.
These two kept me more than entertained with their banter, the angst and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat and the twists and turns kept me reading to see how it all turned out.
I can't wait for Taras' turn!

★ “my hand in exchange for a piece of the Malikov pie.”★

—>>> Plans for revenge were always in the works for Konstantin so he could rebuild the mess his father had left behind for himself and what was left of his family, but taking Viktorya on the spur of moment, a woman who was already on his radar, sent her whole family on a determined hunt to get her back. They were not going to lose yet another sister to their enemies. But…enemies could be allies, and allies could be enemies. No one seems to know which end is up. Very eventful and full of twisty surprises, from where we left off in Book #2 with a kidnapping. Viktorya and Konstantin had some sweet moments I loved (“Jake” and the doppelgänger business) as well as some that will steam up your pages! Can’t wait to see where this series will go next!

Another excellent instalment in the ‘Vengeful Villains’ series. The book can be read as a standalone with no trouble understanding the plot but please read the first two novels in this excellent series to fully appreciate the story.

This book is a bit of a slow burn but, WOW, once they get together, the chemistry between them is red hot and steamy! Absolutely loved this book. Ms Luciani has once again created an amazing read. If you’re a fan of dark and twisted, super hot Mafia romance, then this series of novels is for you.

Can’t wait for further books in this series which I will devour with relish. A definite 5 star recommended read!.

This story is all action. Tory and Konstantin 's love story starts with hate, but we all know there is a fine edge and that hate quickly turns to love and desire. There is a lot packed in this story and if you have been following this series be ready for an unexpected twist. Love can happen in the craziest of circumstances. Buckle up and enjoy this read. ~Cindy

Cruel Captor is the third book in Kristen Luciani's Vengeful Villains series, and picks up where book two left off. I enjoyed reading band following Victorya and Konstantin (Mikhail) enemies to lovers romance. Each book in the series is a stand-alone, but it's a good idea to read them in order. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. ~Dawn
