He inflicts pain and death upon those he encounters. Now he’s killed someone close to Dan and those he loves. It’s become more than a mission for Dan; it’s personal now. The assassin may want to lure Dan into his trap to kill him, but Dan has other ideas. He must track this killer to his lair in a desperate attempt to eliminate him before anyone else dies. Dan’s quest takes him through Europe into the dark and remote parts of the Middle-East, far from any support from his handlers. In the harsh deserts and mountains, far from any help, Dan must confront his enemy. With no quarter asked or given, it’s a kill or be killed struggle.
Dan is on a quest from Europe through the Middle East on the hunt of the assassin named Scorpion. Scorpion is a deadly assassin, and there was a time when he killed someone close to Dan named Carrie. Dan felt that it's something he should take action on as soon as possible because it's personal for him. As Scorpion is on his way throughout the Middle East, Dan searched and followed his trail. Dan has been tracking down Scorpion, and he’s trying to ambush Scorpion.
Opinion: The story is fast-paced, and it is well-written. The suspense, mystery, action, and character development are all interesting. Every page is thrilling, and it becomes even more thrilling as the story continues. I like how Dan hunted Scorpion because he’s like a spy watching and following him. The mood is dark because of the tension and the energy it’s giving to readers. I like the battle between good and evil; it brings more suspense to the story. I highly recommend this book because it’s something that can catch your attention. The book is overall well-written, and I look forward to the next battle.
While a good read I was disappointed with the number of typos and, even more, the technical errors. Like the bad guy using a Dragonov rifle. Not a bad rifle, but it's a semiautomatic and the author portrayed it as a bolt action. Perhaps a better proof reader would help? The use of 7.62 to identify the ammunition used might be confusing to those not knowledgeable about firearms. The AK47 uses a 7.62x39mm cartridge while the Dragonov uses the 7.62x54R. Quite different.
I really enjoy this action packed, well researched and written thriller series. The MC's top notch, and the supporting characters are diverse and well developed. The settings for each story are expertly crafted with all the necessary details. My only complaint is with the conversion from the printed book to the Kindle version. The program incorrectly substitutes too many words, such as "trial" for "trail." An occasional faux pax is expected, but numerous times in a book is excessive: The program should be corrected! Otherwise 5🌟
David Nees is equal to Brad Thor, Daniel Silva, Kyle Mills, et. Al; David Stone is one of the best ASSASSINS top fiction thriller writers have create. Please bring on more of this delicious character.
David Nees books have the same issues. Terrible editing whomever his proof reader is needs to be replaced or retrained. Spell check does not find words that r misused nor phrases that r repeated within phrases. If the grammar was better this would be a 4 star book
This was well written suspenseful mystery with lots of action and good character development. This could be read also as a standalone book it was so good. I look forward to the next in the series.
David I'm glad your story telling and book writing is as prolific as Dan is at ridding the world of evil bad men. You both are very good at your jobs. Although I don't think Dan loves his work like you do. Thank you for another one.
This is a good continuation of the series which, in my opinion should be read in order. I wasn't excited about the shaman connection in the first book, but find myself looking forward to it and found it a little lacking in the one. The series is well written and a must for those seeking 'black ops entertainment'. Good job David!
I enjoy the stories and characters, however there are constant issues with grammar and spelling. A decent proofreader is required, maybe someone who enjoys the content!!
3.5 stars. This series keeps getting slightly better. Good action. Interesting locales. Some personal growth. Could do without the soft core porn that’s sprinkled in. Lol.
