Raelle continues to discover who she truly is and the magnitude of her destiny. Yet, after a failed attempt to rescue King Veras from Castle Mount, she becomes a prisoner herself. The fallen god, Kellar, and his followers have set their sights on a lovetie forming between King Veras and Raelle. But is it the king or the tracker who truly holds her heart?
Reclaiming the Kingdoms and fixing the damage caused by Kellar threatens to overwhelm Raelle. But, with the devotion of her friends and the fierce love of her family, she must find a way to forge forward, even when the missing pieces of her past show promise of victory, or irreparable heartbreak.
There is an uprising being born in the North. Alliances are forming between former enemies, past loves and the resurgence of the demigods. The road to victory must be paved through unity and forgiveness, but is that too high of a price to pay? Can there be trust in the wake of such deep betrayal?
Forging Hope is the second installment in The Evamore Series directly following the events of Kingdomless. It is a New Adult Fantasy Romance filled with adrenaline infused battles, swoon worthy moments and even more witty banter. The next question you have to ask yourself is chocolate cake or vanilla pudding?
MICHELLE GARYFALAKIS was born and raised throughout Ontario, Canada. She currently lives just outside of Hamilton, Ontario with her husband, four kids and Snowy (their friendly Samoyed-Border Collie). When she isn’t obsessively typing out new stories on her computer, you can find her drinking coffee with a friend, snacking on some guacamole or binge watching Outlander (again). Michelle loves finding creative ways to communicate with people, and her passion for storytelling is the newest addition to that list. She would love to connect with you through her social media accounts, which can all be found on her website: www.michellegaryfalakis.com.
WOW! Michelle did just as great of a job on Forging Hope that she did with Kingdomless. Seriously, I am just waiting for this series to blow up! Michelle was kind enough to send me an ARC copy of this book and I am already so excited for the next one in the series! 4.5/5 ⭐️
Picks up right where we left off in Kingdomless and has the perfect amount of slow burn for what you want to happen throughout the book. There were points where I was so mad at what was happening, but then seeing the characters overcome things together was so worth it!!!!
Tropes you can look forward to in this book:
I love you but I can’t. Love triangle Talking to each other through dreams/minds More training scenes! Lots of world building and magic system building!
Lastly… I think the biggest surprise of this book was in the acknowledgments! Finding out that the third book will be a tandem read and won’t be in Rae’s perspective! I’m really excited to explore the new love interests with Kolt, but I am so going to miss Rae and Cal during the third book!
To beat the darkness you have to become darkness is my favorite line in the book. I absolutely can't wait for book three. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I got lost in the writing.
Michelle has done it again! She took my heart and ran it through a wringer! Her words and story made me feeeeel all the things!
In this sequel to Kingdomless, Raelle and crew are back and have quite the odds stacked against them! We pick up not far from where Kingdomless left off with Rae and Veras being held captive in the Nothern castle.
Has everything been resolved at the end of this book? Nope! Which makes me want the next one sooo badly!
The twists, turns, and revelations kept me on my toes, kept me entertained and had me loving every minute of it!
Book 1 was more of a figure it out as you go (which I loved tremendously) Book 2 filled in a ton of blanks! This was quite the building book that gave more about Raelle’s past and what she is capable of. She grows a bit more into the role she’s been thrown into and it was incredible to watch her gain confidence and learn to wield her power and have control over it. One thing about this series I adore is the banter! Even with side characters. It truly gives the books depth and it makes the world and characters feel all the more real. I am really loving the magic system and world building in this series! I cannot wait to see what the rest of the series brings us readers!!
I was lucky enough to be given an advanced copy of this book and let me tell you, I couldn’t put it down. I love all of the characters, even the villains, because they are all written so well. I was worried about there being a prolonged love triangle but was pleasantly surprised that it resolved quickly. Calak is my favorite and I love his devotion for Raelle. I was genuinely shocked about his lineage and so happy that it meant they could be together. I also love how as the story progresses, more and more intricate details come into play and it reminds me of the From Blood and Ash series with how it is written. The ending shocked me and broke my heart with the death of Rig, I was not prepared! I cannot wait for the next book and to see both Calak and Raelle explore their powers more!

I was so thrilled to jump back into the imaginative world that Michelle Garyfalakis has created with the Evamore Series. Raelle has been one of my favorite book heroines of the year, and she continues to be such a well-written, powerful character in Forging Hope. With more family secrets to discover and battles to be fought, I could not put this book down! The romantic scenes are sizzling, and the worldbuilding continues to impress me as Raelle and the Trackers travel back to the kingdom she once called home. This series is a must-read, and you HAVE to pick up Forging Hope when it releases on June 21, 2022.
An excellent sequel to Kingdomless. Where the first book threw you (and the female main character) into the story headfirst and had you sort of figure things out as you went, this book let you take a moment and play catch up by providing you with so much more information. There was more world building, but I am so intrigued by the magic system and world that the author has created that I did not mind.
New characters are introduced, and characters that didn't have as much of a spotlight in the first book were given more attention in this one. I enjoyed seeing Rae start to come into her own strength and powers at the end of Kingdomless, and she just continues on growing as a character in the sequel.
The first book is most definitely YA, but Forging Hope is a solid New Adult Fantasy Romance, which yes, means spice :)
The twists and turns continue to shock you and thanks to the cliffhanger at the end, you will be craving the third book for some answers!!!
Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of Forging Hope in exchange for an honest review.
This book picks up right where Kingdomless left off, and I loved every minute of it. There is a little bit more world building in this book, which is to be expected after the fast pace of the first. Forging Hope is also solidly NA with a little bit of spice after the first book’s slow burn.
I loved learning more about the world and character’s backstories, meeting new characters, and seeing even more action. The cliffhanger at the end is BRUTAL, so I’ll be waiting on the edge of my seat for book three to drop!
I am really loving how the story is progressing, and super intrigued to find out what happens in book 4! I'm also looking forward to 3, but as it's tandem timeline and featuring new main characters I'm more keen to know what happens with Rae!!
The next bit will have spoilers but I need to vent a little. . . . Okay so Rig 😭😭😭😭 it just happened and he's gone and I am sad.
I'm conflicted because Calak deffo had some red flags of possessive insecurity and being a bit controlling BUT I also think Kellar is hot and he's literally punching her in the face.
But her being with Kellar now and knowing "the darkness" is making him act the way he does has got me feeling feelings. No doubt they'll be squashed in book 4 😂😂😂 I am aware of my toxic men love 😇
This is not a comparison because I fecking loathed the series, but Kellar is giving me Darkling vibes (and let's be honest, the Darkling was the only worthwhile character in shadow and bone)😏
Less than 24hrs to finish this book! It was a wild ride from start to finish. The book flows beautifully. As a reader, I had zero questions about the world building. Everything just works. I can’t wait for book 3. Great job Michelle!
This picks up exactly where Kingdomless ended. The tension as both Veras and Calak try to win Raelle’s heart intensifies and really leaves you questioning which you want to win her over and why.
Lots of unexpected plot twists kept me on my toes and made it hard to put it down.
Huge cliff hanger ending. Do yourself a favor and purchase a bottle of wine now. Anxiously waiting to see what happens in book 3!
Ummm, excuse me. I love a good cliffhanger, I really do. But I am NOT okay. I have so many questions and CANNOT wait for what’s next. I know there must be more because there is no way a series just ends like that lol. *** A friend just talked me off the ledge, it sounds like it only says book 2 of 2 because only the two have been published. Phew. I was like nooooooo how can this happen lol. Ok everyone calm down!
Loved this book. Absolutely love these characters and will continue to follow them wherever they go. I am anxiously awaiting what’s next.
Can we talk about all that happened in this book? Omg so much good stuff. There were moments of tears and even a moment of me excitedly banging my hand on the kitchen counter as I read, immediately texting my book bestie in all caps with the discovery I just read. Even some spice and as always, I love the moments of current terminology that make me laugh. They even played spin the bottle lol.
HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR BOOK 3??? Please Michelle, I must know!!! I’m dying here lolololol.
Absolutely STUNNING follow up to Kingdomless! I got this book as an ARC, it isn't out yet and i feel so lucky to have gotten to read it sooner rather than later.
This book was such a wildly entertaining, exciting, heartwarming, gut-wrenching, powerful and phenomenal story. Kingdomless introduces us to the world and the characters and Forging Hope sends up deeper into the magical world with more action, spice, drama, character development, prophecy. I was on the edge of my seat for most of this book. It gave me feel good moments, triumphs and failures.
Raelle and Calak find out what they're made of and what they are willing to risk and give up for those they love most. The growth of these 2 characters throughout this series is spectacular!!!!
I can't say much more without giving it away but DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS BOOK! I'll be updating this review after it's released. I just want to thank author Michelle Garyfalakis for writing this masterpiece for me and the world to have.
Main takeaways - •Quinn is kellars daughter •calak is a demigod so him and raelle can be love tied without fear & they are •rig dies in the battle •raelle works on her aether and figures out she is the tauni •she gives herself up to kellar to save calak •to defeat darkness you must become it
I’m really enjoying this series. The writing is definitely more YA, though this one had some spice. There are parts where I wish there were more descriptions but then parts where I think she didn’t need to repeat herself? If that makes sense. All in all a solid plot and storyline. Can’t wait for book 3!

Michelle did it again! The tension in this one, the love, the friendships, the stakes getting mega high!!!! OMG book 3 cannot come out soon enough. Characters that I a,ready loved, I love more. Characters I already hated, I hate more. And the new ones….I already have strong feeling towards them as well. If you like fantasy that is fast paced with a dash of romance and a cool plot, this is for you. My only « negative » is that some characters master their magic a little too easily/quickly but the rest is so good and bingeable that I don’t mind
I really enjoyed Kingdomless and was excited for book 2. Forging Hope was okay. I felt like it kind of bounced all over the place. They had a plan but then something happened and the planned kept changing. I also found like a few situtations that arose were too easily resolved and on to the next thing. It lacked a little for me. But I will continue to read the series and see what the characters are up to.
I LOVED this book so much. The romance is so natural, sweet, and steamy and the plot is just as compelling as book one! I laughed a lot, I cried a few times, and I got angry a bit too, but I loved the entire ride. I love that I can't predict everything that will happen. I can't wait to keep reading this series. Is it too early to ask for an ARC of book 3? I will be reading everything this author writes from now til forever!
Merged review:

I enjoyed this book, but it fell a little flat compared to Kingdomless. The love triangle made sense in the first book, but it seemed to drag in the second book because we all knew who her love tie was.
I felt like things flowed really nicely, and I liked that she brought in new characters to help build the world up. I didn’t like how everything was resolved very conveniently.
I did like how she set up for future stories between side characters. I’m looking forward to seeing how those work out.
Raelle world is still turned upside down. She doesn't understand how she became what she is or what she is supposed to do with it. But when Calak find out his life isn't what it seems can these two work together to save the people they love.
This story picks up right where kingdomless left off. Veras and Raelle imprisoned by Keller and the crazy witch. While Raelle is trying to tap into her new powers and ignore the fact that the man she cared for betrayed her. She must
I didn’t think it was possible, but I loved this book just as much as the first. This book consumed my thoughts even when I wasn’t reading it. It made me laugh, cry, scream, and fall in love. I love the characters, the character growth, the world building, the plot twists, the cover, literally everything about this book. I also have to say that I felt the writing was better in this book as well. The chapters felt more complete and flowed nicely. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book.
I adored the first book and was ecstatic for this one but it suffers the sophomore slump. I really needed more reminders in the beginning as to who everyone was and what was happening but I caught on. I think the third will be more of the epic battles and this second one really is building up to that. I look forward to the third one but just a little bummed by some of this one.
