USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Tracy Lorraine brings you another couple in her dark mafia, high school bully romance Knight's Ridge Empire series.
I’ve lived my entire life in the shadows...
Sheltered yet painfully aware of the haunting reality of who my family really is.
I’m tired of being the good girl— of doing everything I’m told. Halloween seems like the perfect time to explore my hidden desires.
And that’s exactly how I end up in the arms of a masked mystery guy.
He doesn’t handle me like glass. He takes exactly what he wants and gives me everything I didn’t know I needed— until he vanishes into the darkness leaving me with one burning question…
Who was my mysterious knight that introduced me to the dark side?
Dear Readers, Dark Halloween Knight is a prequel to Dark Knight trilogy. The events of this prequel coincide with the end of Wicked Princess.
Tracy Lorraine is a M/F and M/M contemporary romance author. Tracy has just turned thirty and lives in a cute Cotswold village in England with her husband, baby girl and lovable but slightly crazy dog. Having always been a bookaholic with her head stuck in her Kindle Tracy decided to try her hand at a story idea she dreamt up and hasn’t looked back since.
The only reason I read this is because I read the first part of the actual book in an anthology recently and I liked it enough to consider picking up a MF book for the first time in ages. While most books don’t need these prequels to understand wtf is happening, I was confused as it kept mentioning a Halloween encounter of a man dressed in a Batman costume. Not a lot happens in this prequel though besides said man in a Batman costume dicking down the heroine in a club and didn’t really answer any of my questions which means the other 2 trilogies in this series probably need to be read first and I have no intention of doing that.
The start of Callie and Batmans story. A fun Halloween treat. Who is Callie’s mysterious guy? This was spicy, fun and a great start to the Dark Knight series (part of knights Ridge).
Although it’s just another classic mafia story(nothing new), it has everything it should have and the writing was okay… so no complaints from this side. Also - I didn’t read other books from this series and yet, no problem with understanding what’s going on nor with characters etc. Good interaction between characters, nothing too silly, great chemistry..
BUT-
There is not a whole sex scene and that really pisses me off. 😄 Cause yeah, the beginning(or should I say first half?) was great, but… “he p*shes inside me, but only a little” …and the there is shooting and he runs away?! Unacceptable!😤
Also.. If I would read one more time “oh sh*t” or “f*ck yeah” or “oh god” …I think I would throw my kindle against the wall. 6/10.
I love this short sweet novella that covers the events of Halloween Night 🎃from a different perspective. We get to see the main storyline in Wicked Princess. This short novella should only be read after you finished Wicked Princess not just as a prequel to Dark Knight!
We get to see the story of the party behind Calli’s eyes and what exactly happened to her when chaos erupted for Stella and her Knights.
Calli Cirillo is a Mafia Princess, constantly under protection and scrutiny by her older brother Nico, her cousin Theo, and their fellow Knights Toby, Seb, Alex and Daemon.
On Halloween Night 🎃, Knight Ridge puts on a huge Halloween Party, her eyes set on a night of fun Calli dances the night away until a mysterious set of eyes covered in a Batman costume continue to follow her every movement. Once her girls step away she finds herself wrapped up with his hands on her hips and lips on her lips. Good girl Calli takes a new step when this mysterious “Batman” takes her into a room alone for them to have some fun. Unfortunately, their fun comes to an end quickly when chaos stiles outside the door (events during Wicked Princess).
Who is this mysterious Batman? Why can’t she stop thinking about him? Where does she know those eyes? How does he know her name? 👻
Book: Dark Halloween Knight Read By: Ebook Author: Tracy Lorraine Genre: High school Dark Romance Recommend: Yes Spice:🌶️️🌶️️ < b>Age recommendation: 18-30+ Years My feelings:
Grabbed this on stuff your kindle day.
“You deserve more than this, Calli.” I gasp at the use of my name. It proves one thing. He knows exactly who I am, and just what might happen to him if the guys find out about this.
Holy hot dam it was good.
“You’re going to regret this,” he tells me, his voice full of self-loathing. Mimicking his move, I cup his face. “Never. You’re giving me more than you could ever know.”
Only 45 pages but dam was it good! Made me want to read the series:)

This novella was something. I love a masked man, but I have learned from this book that not all masks are equal in my eyes. Give me Ghostface or the COD guys any day but batman? He doesn't do it for me. It did make me want to check out the series though. Bestie if you are reading this you may want to check it out. All sorts of mafia stuff going on
This is the shortest story that I’ve read in a very long time. All I wanna know is who is this dark Knight. How bad could he be that he was afraid to show her his face? I was unfamiliar with this writer but now I think I’m a fan. Mind you I’ve only read one piece written by her but it’s so good. I really like Callie.
This is a prequel to the Dark trilogy featuring Calli and her Batman. At a Halloween party Calli meets a dark and mysterious man dressed as Batman and they have a very hot and passionate time together. This sexy little novella should be read prior to Dark Knight.

" For years I’ve watched her. Wanted her. Craved her. But it’s always been from a distance, from the shadows. The darkness."
Wow, just wow I want to say so much but to keep the secret alive I won't.
As soon as I read the first chapter I was hooked as well as I guessed as to who the Dark Knight was and damn I was not disappointed. I am very excited to explore more with both of these characters. It's going to be a bumpy ride, to say the least.
Calli is a mafia princess who is fiercely protected by her family. On Halloween night, a huge party is held, and Calli is claiming it as the first night she actually lets loose and has fun. She dances the night away with her friends before noticing a man in a mask staring at her. She continues to notice him until he finally comes up to her, and then has her follow him to a more quiet room. Everything is growing great for them until chaos happens outside and the masked man has to leave. As he’s going to the aid of his family, she realizes who her masked man really is.

“I don’t want to go around kissing all the frogs that Knight’s Ridge, hell even London, has to offer. I just want to find my prince, my knight. The one who’ll put me above all the rest, who won’t keep me in the shadows like everyone else in my life seems to do; but who will drag me into the light with him, and encourage me to be the person I know I can be without the overbearing weight of my family pressing down on my shoulders.”

This was such a quick, fun read, being just under 50 pages.
No complaints, it was exciting to read about Calli getting her night of freedom while really enjoying herself! The spice was good, also.
Nothing really stood out to me as being super special about this, but I failed to read the book that comes before this one so I know if I go and read it I would understand a lot more that happened in this novella.
✨Mejores frases✨ «Soy Callista Cirillo. La princesa de la mafia. Sufrida hermana pequeña e hija de hombres poderosos. Bueno, esta noche eso terminara.»
«Lo que le dije era cierto. Quiero esto. A él. A nosotros.

The Mafia Princess and Batman
POV: h A taster of the start of Calli and her Batman.
Calli Cirillo, Mafia Princess. Her brother, cousin and his friends have shielded her from the Family's business. She's not naive to know of the family's doings. But since she's been exposed to Stella and Emmie's influences, she's coming out of her shell and doing things that she should have been doing at her age. She's enjoying this new feeling of freedom. While at a halloween party she meets a guy dressed as Batman, they get close, then they get interrupt, then she realises who he is.
Hopefully we won't have long to find out when the whole book is released.
I solely ordered this book because I loved the cover and I’m a hoe for Halloween. I truly knew nothing about it. It’s a novela that’s a part of a complete series. The excerpt at the beginning says I don’t have to read the series for the novella but I’m still not sure what I read. The writing style is mid. I knew from the first chapter I wasn’t going to enjoy the book. But I read the whole thing because it was only 74 pages.
I won’t be picking up the series though. Mystery Batman can stay a damn mystery. This shit was weird and I like weird. Not weird in the way you’d enjoy either. But the cover is still pretty awesome.
I was looking for some books for Halloween and found this prequel for free on Apple Books, so I read it and thought to maybe find a new series to read. I would kinda like to read more about the mafia and family, but tbh I don't like when women write such "unrealistic" sex scenes. It's Calli's first time and after having two orgasms in a row, she is still begging him to fuck her. If they weren't interrupted she would probably have a third one, nice first time I guess 😂
Maybe if someone read the other books, you can tell me if starting the series is worth it.

I am so excited to read Callie and Batman’s story. This is what happened on Halloween night between Callie and Batman. It is a little prequel that grabbed my attention. I want to know more about these two and see how much more confidence Callie will get and see just who Batman is. These two are definite opposites, but I think they are the perfect fit for each other. One is light and the other is dark.
This is the first book of Tracy’s I’ve read and I’m hooked. I need to know who Batman is!! 🖤
Since I didn’t read the series before this I had no clue who the characters were and their world so some things didn’t make sense but it wasn’t horrible. I’m still going to read the next book and see how it goes. If I get too confused or lost I’ll stop and start at the very beginning. Can’t wait for the next one!
This is a really short read about Callie hooking up at Halloween with a mystery guy in a Batman mask.... They fool around and she has no clue who he is the whole time because he kept the mask on until the end when he turns around and looks up at her to the window but we still don't know, can't wait to find out, I have my suspicious who I think it might be from little hints in the other books but were see if I'm right....
adventurous emotional hopeful informative inspiring mysterious tense fast-paced Plot- or character-driven? Character Strong character development? No Loveable characters? Yes Diverse cast of characters? No Flaws of characters a main focus? No 4.75
Kindle - such a great little novella to get one all jazzed up for the full story and ends with what seems a realization of who he is. This is such a great entry into the overall series and really draws one into reading the rest.
I thought i would read this and hope i didn't regret taking the time and move on. By no means so I feel like this was written perfectly. The sentences ran on, it didn't delve deep enough to know the characters and so it made following along difficult.... but the connection between her and the mystery man was so intense I immediately got the next book to find out who he is and to see if I'm correct in who I feel is behind the mask
Holy Batman! That was hot. She’s knows, I want to know!!!! Why doesn’t he want to reveal his identity? He’s part of the Family why wouldn’t he be approved? I loved this little slice of hot and heavy in the middle of another book plot line, I loved seeing all work along side each other. Baby C is growing up!
5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & 2 🌶️🌶️. This was a deliciously intriguing quick Novella. I read the deviant Knight series last year and I wondered what Cali got up to at that party. Her actions after were suspicious so I knew something was afoot and knowing Tracy’s writing I knew it could be spicy 😏. I’m excited to continue the series.
Okay, these novellas are fire, and I'm once again ready to dive into another couple's story in this series. I'm going to go ahead and start book four, as I mentioned in previous reviews for this series, the characters are great. And now that I know this is more of an erotic series than a romance series, it's easier to get into the right receiving mindset for the story. I'm ready for the next one!
