Very creative. Hilarious novel. Not my normal read but after meeting the author I thought I'd give it a go and was very pleasantly surprised. If you enjoy detective novels, comedy, and zombies that aren't scary, this is the book for you! Not a lot of action in Part one but Parts 2 thru 4 are packed and totally make up for it!

The collected novellas of the Zombie Cosmetologist (Season One): Pluck & Cover; Hide & Chic; Cut & Dyed; Pose & Cons. The combination of makeup, Hollywood, sewing ghosts, zombies, jungles, flamingos, special ops teams, and civil war doctors is amazingly humorous, real, and exciting.

Another delight from JD Blackrose. Made me LOL three times; once, I had to book down until I composed myself I was laughing so hard.
Her characters are so real, and the real-life solutions to the problems just feel natural. Okay, you might be asking, how can a Zombie Cosmetologist to Hollywood Stars be "real" - I DON'T KNOW - but he IS!!!! I could see running into Waylon Jenkins in day-to-day life and sitting down for a talk on a park bench (with suitable hat and sunscreen).

This book is a compilation of 4 Zombie Cosmetologist novella. Such a great concept and story! Waylon is amazing as well as all his friends. I loved the first 3 stories. The fourth story was okay, I just didn’t really understand the motivation for the murder as it seemed kind of weak.

A book made of four short stories that flow together to make for a good time and a fun read!
